I decided to try door dash. Noppon was courteous and I got a text when he arrived.
I would certainly recommend using them. I felt that service was exceptional.

My biggest complaint is that their name sounded like «Jordache» when I first heard about it (for those of us old enough to remember that brand). ;)
Other than that, just tried this for the first time last night for a board meeting dinner delivery and all went smoothly and the website was super easy to use. Particularly liked that I could select *when* I wanted the order delivered as I preferred to put in the order in advance and be done with it (whereas a couple other sites I explored the order would be processed right then).
My only «complaint» (if you could call it that) was that they actually arrived about 7 – 10 mins earlier than I’d selected. Wasn’t an issue for us but did make me wonder, if our order hadn’t been as big, would they have arrived even earlier? (That actually might’ve been an issue for us). Also, would be great to have some promo codes in circulation. The ones I found didn’t work.
Other than that, would highly recommend the service!

I’ll keep this short. Just returned from celebrating Mardi Gras in NOLA yesterday. I’ve never been so nauseous, and in so much pain from travelling after 5 straight days of drinking my face off. All I wanted was phở, and I needed it the minute I got home. I looked everywhere for a restaurant that could deliver, and finally checked DoorDash. I was happy to see Turtle Tower delivers via DoorDash, so I placed my order in the cab heading home. The estimate was 52 – 60 minutes, and they delivered in 45. This phở literally saved my life. After 5 straight hours of travelling and nausea, I felt like a recovering person once again. I like that they show you when the order is being prepared and when it’s out for delivery, I feel like if it had been out for delivery for an hour alone I would have called to check on it. I will definitely order again!

I have nothing bad to say, I ordered pizza three hours in advance, it was delivered the second I was quoted, Door dash driver was polite and professional, I certainly recommend and love em,., YAY!!!

Delivery was on time, the lady was lovely and they didn’t need to call me a bunch of times to figure out where I was. It’s too expensive though so I’d only use this service if I had no other option and since I was sick today that was the case.

Just used DoorDash in Walnut Creek and couldn’t be happier! I get a bit tired of cooking sometimes but don’t want to compromise with fast food or the same restaurant all the time. Well, I finally get choices and its delivered! Before leaving work, I asked the kids what they wanted… Japanese, Mexican, Italian, Korean, hamburgers??? They were surprised I was giving them so many choices. After narrowing it down, I just went into the app and chose food from the restaurant of choice that night and it was delivered by the time I got home. It was soooo nice to not have to rush to the kitchen after stepping through the door that evening AND eating the food I was craving. But just know, order an hour before dinner time because it does take that long during the weekday during busy dinner hour. So easy to order and so worth a night or two of good food I didn’t have to cook!

DoorDash seems to be in the lead as far as food delivery services go, however, I can’t say I’ve had great experiences. One time I ordered for a gluten-​free coworker when our office catering had no options for her. Her food arrived 90 minutes late after all of us had long ago received and eaten our food. I had actually spoken to the driver at one point and he was out getting someone else’s order. I’m not sure what the rules are, but you shouldn’t be able to combine orders if it means you’re going to be delivering one of the items crazy late. DoorDash gave us a credit, but it wasn’t for the full amount of the order.
Another time, I ordered dinner for my husband and I on a Friday night when we were both too hungry and exhausted to make ourselves something to eat. We fed our kids and eagerly awaited the arrival of our food. I texted the driver, got no response. Again, nearly 90 minutes passed before I had to take to Twitter with my issue. I also dug up their customer service 800 number (not easy to find). They gave us a full refund plus a small credit towards our next order.
I have probably ordered from them six times total, but of those times, two were a complete disaster and that is just too much. I also feel like their website could be better arranged for catering orders.

I love DoorDash! We’ve used it twice, and both times my delivery came earlier than the quoted time. Food was still hot and tasty. And even though restaurant selection is based on where you live, there’s still an attractive list of restaurants whether I choose to deliver it at home or work.
I’ve had issues with Eat24, so I prefer DoorDash when it’s possible. Yay for DoorDash! Just hope that their selection gets even more diverse! Free delivery on your first purchase with this referral link,

Having used other services, their updates are really lacking. The time between order places and dasher is on their way is not reassuring whatsoever. Seeing that the restaurant has the order but that our driver isn’t on the way… no wonder they get so many complaints. The inability to leave a tip after the food is delivered makes it really hard to tip based on service (which is what it should be), and make me feel like they’re just gypping their drivers.
Also, I’m fairly sure they don’t care about food quality. I ordered phở, which is a broth, and the dasher pulled it out of her bag — sideways. No wonder it was leaking. Good thing the restaurant had wrapped it in cellophane or else it’d be wasted, all over her bag. Further proof they don’t care about quality: they ask how you experience is after the fact, but that’s it. I left a review, and mentioned I got an incorrect item– I haven’t heard anything at all. Customer service is impossible to reach via phone and they have no chat. If they’re not gonna make the effort to their customers, then they’ve lost one, and will continue to do so. What’s the point of asking me how my order was if you clearly don’t check those?
Their app needs work and so does their customer service. I don’t have much motivation to order with them again when there are so many other competitors that have just as many options (seriously, very limited restaurant selection) and deliver much faster. Their standard time estimated seems to be 90 minutes always… which is way too long. I wont recommend them or use them again.

Sick at home– wa waaaa. No restaurants deliver anymore! Not to worry, Door Dash is here for me! And thank goodness. I just wanted some hot soup… and baked sweet potato fries. When they arrived, the fries were still warm and the soup was still hot. And the food came 15 minutes earlier than estimated. Nice.
I’m a BIG fan of this service, especially for days like these when I’m sick at home without the hubby to be my cabana boy.

Sigh… I wanted so badly to have a reliable food delivery service.
However, now, after have several bad experiences with DoorDash, I feel like I need to set the record straight. I referred several of my friends and coworkers to their service and they’ve also been frustrated by glitches with the app, and extremely poor customer service.
I really didn’t want to write DoorDash off. However, the final straw was this: I had $ 15 in credits (given to me both as compensation for past frustrating experiences, and for referring a friend) when I placed an order on their site. Obviously, I wanted to apply my credits to my order. The subtotal on the website displayed my credits deducted from the order total. Great! I hit «place order.» Well, their site charged me the full figure, and did not deduct my $ 15 in credits. WTF! I immediately sent an email to their customer service, asking them to correct this error.
4 hours later. No response.
24 hours later. No response.
2 days later. NO RESPONSE.
So basically, they took my money and now they’re ignoring me.
Do yourselves a favor and stick to Eat24 or Spoonrocket. Steer clear of these thieves.

This last order from them took the cake is worst customer service ever.
TL;DR: The order was over 30 minutes late (after being picked up from the restaurant that I live LESS THAN TWO MILES FROM) I’m thinking the driver got stoned on his way to my place, got lost, and went to the moon and back for a quick minute. This delay made my food inedible and when I asked for a refund all they gave me was a Door Dash Credit… Are you kidding? You act like I want to purchase any sort of delivery from you in the future when you are 30 minutes late…
I could have walked to the restaurant and probably most of the way back in that amount of time.
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! DON’T DO IT!
Attached are my requests for a refund, the proximity to my location of the restaurant, and the time it took along their responses, they refunded my tip but everything else was in measly credits, something has got to give-​can they at least confirm that they fired my delivery person? YOU HAD ONE JOB, SIR.

3.5 stars. I’ve been trying a lot of food delivery services/​apps recently and DoorDash has been my latest experiment. I’m pretty happy with this one-​for the most part.
Advantages:
–Delivery fee is much cheaper than Caviar, but it still offers the same high quality options that Caviar does.
–They always estimate around an hour for delivery but it usually takes 45 minutes.
Disadvantages:
–I find it really strange how they don’t include tip in your total before you click the button that confirms your order. This frequently surprises me (and other first-​time users) and increases the total at the last minute seemingly without warning.
–There’s an option to pre-​order food, but they’re not very accurate about ETA for the delivery. Could be inconvenient if you’re looking for a specific time frame.
Overall, I think it’s a strong competitor in the food delivery services market, but like the other ones, it has some work to do.

Was very scared to try this app for the first time after reading so many hungry, angry people not receiving their food! But here I am on a Saturday night home alone hungry ready to take my chances…
Got free delivery and $ 5 off for my first order so why not, ordered from Shezan in Mountain View and food comes on time, still warm!!! My driver, Ramon was polite and nice, wished I had tipped him more than 10% (I was expecting a bad service) but I would definitely use this app again in the future.

Very inconsistent service and a ripoff. Please read this review before considering their services. I ordered thai food from mango thai in dallas, texas. I ordered the $ 12.50 dinner portion and was charged for the dinner portion, but door dash gave me the cheaper $ 9 lunch portion. I went back to the restaurant to complain about a mistake they made in cooking. The manager said that i paid for the smaller lunch portion so she would replace my order with that. I showed her my receipt and she was very surprised. She said that the door dash driver came in, swiped her credit card & bought the lunch portion! She even showed me her receipt and described the door dash driver exactly what she looked like.
Also, the drivers never check to see if the order is correct. I ordered 3 times from them and the young female driver on the third time i ordered was the only one that gave me plastic utensils with my order. The other 2 times, i was expected to eat with my bare hands.
p. s. on top of charging me for the dinner portion but delivering the lunch portion, they charge a tip, $ 5 delivery fee, and they charge the restaurant a percentage, usually 20 percent. So, if you do decide to use them, be sure to not just calculate the obvious fees, but also the reduced portion sizes and lack of utensils. In the «message» section of the order page, I typed in, «please don’t forget the utensils» and the 2^nd delivery driver still forgot my utensils.

I am very upset with this «company.» I received a promotional flyer on my door for Door Dash and decided that I would give it a try. I was hesitant at first because the restaurant charges were priced higher through door dash than they are at the actual restaurant, but I still went ahead and gave this company a try. I ordered from California Pizza Kitchen and then entered in the promo code for $ 10.00 off+free delivery. After reviewing the order, which came up 31.07 ($ 10 off + free delivery deducted the price) I press the confirmation button to process my order.
Once the order was processed, Door Dash sent me an email receipt with charges DIFFERENT from what I reviewed prior to pressing the button to process the transaction. They not only charged me for the entire order, they did not add the free delivery nor the $ 10 promo code!!! I went online and tried to find a contact number or email and it does not exist!
Once the driver arrived, I asked the driver what the customer contact number or email was for Door Dash and he had NO IDEA. To hi defense, he was very apologetic from what happened and attempted to contact their support center to get me assistance with this matter, but unfortunately he could not contact them.
Door Dash then sends me a text to rate their services and I rated them 1 (POOR). Door dash then sends me another text apologizing for my poor service and sends me a link to further explain– of course, the link had an «error» message.
I will not be using this service EVER AGAIN. I HATE dishonest companies. Charge customers the correct amount! If it says $ 31.07, then CHARGE ME $ 31.07, not $ 10+ plus a delivery fee more!!!

Poor experience.
My grandma is strong as ever but inevitably is having a harder time walking and cooking. She recently took a spill while walking on clement str in the city and has been stuck at home since. In hopes to ease her situation, I recommended door dash to her (food delivery service). In walking her through the ordering process, we accidentally clicked on purchase order. I immediately tried to cancel on the site but doordash kept giving me an error notification. I called the customer service number 4 times before someone actually picked up and finally when I got through, the lady informed me no charge was made and the order must have been cancelled because it wasn’t showing up. 2 hours later after I left my grandmother’s house, the food gets delivered and my grandmother’s card was charged.
I called DoorDash multiple times (again) and they informed me a mgr would get back to me. Many days pass and no response from anyone. I emailed them explaining the situation and still no response. The mischarge is still on my grandmother’s card.
In effort to follow up with the company, I left a message on their Facebook page wall in hopes someone from the customer service team would get in touch with me regarding my matter. It was completely objective and left at a high level merely asking for someone to respond to my mischarge. Instead of displaying integrity and owning the mishap, the DoorDash social media person deleted my message from it’s wall. TWICE.
This is in addition to charging my grandmother $$$ for an order that should have been cancelled. Can someone from DoorDash Food Delivery please respond to my customer service emails and calls instead of dodging the result of poor operational effectiveness? I will continue to post via social media and you can delete all you want until I get my grandmother’s issue resolved.
Sucks that I was actually trying to recommend your service only for you to prove how horribly poor of a fit you are. It’s for my grandma for crying out loud.

Buyers BEWARE! This service DOUBLES the price of your food item that the restaurant charges, then still has the gall to charge another $ 6.99 delivery fee AND a tip! My daughter has used their services a handful of times, but I hadn’t looked closely at the bills and the fine print. When I saw a $ 43.88 charge for a grand slam and a waffle from Denny’s, I about hit the roof – especially after I called and confirmed with Denny’s their charge is only $ 15.78 for these two menu items!
It most certainly is NOT worth an additional $ 28.10 for two meals to be delivered from Denny’s. Had we known this was one of their deceptive business practices, we never would have placed the order. We have closed both our accounts. Everyone should know how over-​inflated their prices are from the restaurants prices. Try Grub Hub or LA Bite and avoid the gouging!

I work at one of the tech companies around Great America Parkway and we always use DOORDASH.
At first, it’s pretty novel idea… our food choices are super limited in that area, so to be able to choose from tons of restaurants and not even step out of the office to get food. There’s definite a market need and it’s a great idea.
However, whenever using a «middle man»…the experience has been too hit or miss. I noticed that when we order from a nearby restaurant, food comes out great and it’s all good. However, if we are craving something a bit further away, that’s when it gets sloppy. More often then I would like, the food always comes in barely lukewarm.
I don’t know if the driver got lost, is just slow, or simply doesn’t care and takes their dear time… OR the restaurant left the food out and gave a cold order to the driver? And that’s where the problem is, as the customer… you don’t really know who is to blame. It just creates negative experience.
So why the two star rating? I find that it’s more then often the driver’s fault. One occasion, we have called the restaurant that we ordered from and they said that DoorDash hasn’t came yet. Another time, the driver got lost and couldn’t navigate Freedom Circle and showed up at the wrong office building.
So what does it come down to? Probably the lack of reliability and untrained delivery drivers. I feel that they let anybody get this job. If you contact them to complain, you just get a credit for a future order.
Ehhh…good concept, but not my cup of tea. After too many bad experiences, we order for their competitors.
