Create It Ceramics & Glass Studio

Painting and creating your own Ceramics. Sound super fun and super easy right? Yes! It’s fun but I wouldn’t say painting it it’s an easy job especially if you want it to look super nice! The store is owned by a female business women, I believed she occasionally bring her kid to work as well. She is a super awesome person and give her kid all the attention when needed even when she is busy. But she doesn’t ignore her customer because of that. Not sure how she balanced her life that way, but i was really impressed by her. She has all the knowledge in Ceramics painting and creating side. Super knowledgeable and great person to talk to.
Let’s talk about what kind of fun stuff you can do. First of all, they provided pre-​made ceramics (price based on what kind of ceramic you are choosing, paint are included in the price). After you choose your ceramics, it’s time to make a choice on what color you want. They have different color for different usage. Please forgive me, but i do not remember how their paint work. Please ask the owner and the workers who work there. They have good knowledge on everything.
After you chosen your paint and ceramics, it’s time to paint! Woot hoot, you can ask them to provide you blue tapes so you can create your own patterns. Or you can ask them to show you special skills so you can have bubble patterns and other paint effects. To be honest, it takes a lot of effort to make your ceramics to look nice. You need to at least coast 3 – 5 layers of paint and you need to be super detail about how you paint it. Otherwise it might end up looking bad LOL… But don’t get me wrong, it’s a super fun experience.
By the way, they also offer corporate event, or birthday party event with a special group price. Which i think it’s pretty fair since everything will be provided.
Anyway, after you finished painting, it’s time to pay for your ceramic and leave your contact information. So they can place your ceramics to their oven thingy and bake for awhile so the paint color shows afterward. It’s a super fun place to go and it’s good for both adult and child!

These guys were super unhelpful to my friend and I had the worst attitude. They were unwilling to answer any questions, they didn’t know any of the prices of the products on their shelf and after spending $ 80 on a bowl they charged me a rush fee of $ 10 dollars because I needed the bowl for my trip in 5 days instead of the 6 days they normally do. Not a smile on their faces and the studio was really too warm. I’m really disappointed because this was supposed to be a really relaxing experience for my best friend and me and instead it was super unpleasant.

Fun place to use your creative mind to create either a glass or ceramic piece. The prices seem reasonable and the staff is very helpful. Plan to spend at least 3 hours to complete your «work of art»!

Product — Clay hand prints for infants
We had gone in March for making the cute memorable clay handprints for our son. The lady made us fill in the specifications and double checked everything altogether very professional. The hand print process was also well handled taking care of the lil one.
But when the final product was made in June (this takes about 2 – 3 months), the first name was misspelled!!!
So dismayed and disappointed!
Why cant they double check the specification that customers are so carefully asked to fill out. When I asked for the form we filled up, they couldn’t produce it even on two seperate visits, claimed they would call back but didnt!
They touched up the name error resulting in a visible rough patch!
Overall, I wouldnt recommend this place for any memorable keepsakes like baby prints.

Hosted a glass fusion work event at Create It and had a blast. The staff was very helpful and we were able to bring in food and drinks for the occasion. The glass tiles turned out beautifully.

This place is a cut above Color Me Mine. The people that work here are so friendly and helpful. I love bringing the kiddos here for anything from painting to making foot/​hand prints. It aint cheap but it seems you really do get what you pay for here.

I haven’t been to Color Me Mine in YEARS but from my experience attending a private event at Create It Ceramics, the latter seemed like a better experience already.
There were many different pieces to paint, including Hello Kitty items, that ranged from $ 20-​$ 80. Paint, brushes, stencils, and other supplies were well organized and clean. Instruction from the employees were very clear.
I would highly recommend this place for a private event because part of the cost includes access to the drinks (Pellegrino!) and there is an area where you can set up a table of food.
Given that I attended a bridal shower here that was fully paid for by the bride’s generous mama, I cannot attest to any sitting fees, extra costs, or what not. While choosing my item, I was a bit shocked at how much they cost. My individual appetizer plate was $ 28!

Came here for a family outing and we all had a lot of fun. As it was our first time working with the colors it would have been nice to have had a bit more instruction and more idea templates but the price was reasonable and the selection was good.

Came here on a Sunday with my friend and had such a great time. Almost all the tables available were occupied, but my friend and I got a table to ourselves and was about to catch up while we paint.
You can do either Ceramic and/​or Glass painting. This place provided a ton of sample work for you to get a sense of what you want to paint. Also, there are a ton of stencils and stamps to aid those less artisitc (like me)
The place is clean and the employees are super helpful. They refilled your water for the paintbrush and help clean materials for you. Also, they help clean up for us after.
There was no issue sharing paint with other people either. There are mutliple bottles of pain that’s the same color so you don’t have to wait. Also, there are a ton of colors! I am a big fan of the speckles.
This is my first time painting ceramics in a very long time. I am not familiar with pricing, but this place seemed reasonable. On average, be prepared to spend about $ 28 — $ 35 for a small plate /​tea pot. I cannot wait to get better and try creating a masterpiece!

Painting is so much fun, calming and therapeutic!
Three of us went yesterday to use our Living Social deal and we spent a couple of hours bringing out our creative sides. Everyone who works there is helpful and friendly. I didn’t call ahead, but was worried that it may have been crowded, but the studio is so big that space would never be an issue. I can’t wait to go back to pick up my plate… already thinking about my next project!

Got grouposn for this place for my mom and I to have a fun day out. Like most of these places, it definitely wasn’t cheap. You get to pick something (plate, pot, figurine, etc) to paint and then they fire it for you (that’s what we did; I believe they also do glass fusing).
There were plenty of supplies (stencils, paints, brushes, etc etc). We ended up staying quite a while to finish and were not rushed at all. It was a very fun experience.

The young lady helping us was not much help with fused glass and then somewhere in the time we were working on our project she left and the new young lady had no clue about fused glass.
So my Koi fish looks like a Polliwog and my friends Mermaid is a blob. I feel if you have someone working they should know how it is going to come out and give you artistic advice.
I will know better next time.

Such a quaint place! Great for kids! There was a class when we were there, and some moms had also brought in her children to paint there. Great for kids and dates.
Really simple: Go in, picked a ceramic teapot ($ 15), painted it, and gave it to the ladies working there.
The people there were super friendly. They explained to us how to paint it, and that we needed three coats of paint, and showed us all the equipment.
The price tag on the ceramic is the price you paid at the end. They don’t charge for some sitting fee or anything, so that was really nice. And at the end, they told us to just leave our pot and mess at the table. Well, we tried to clean up as best we could, but they took care of the rest. Great service!

For a few weeks running we’ve been taking our 4 year old grandson here to paint pottery. It is a completely delightful experience. We all love it and have made some really nice pieces. They provide the white clay pieces in a variety of shapes and sizes… from platters to pussycats to piggy banks. They show you how to paint it and give enough direction for you to make a good piece your first time. It takes them a week to fire it and when you return you get your treat. My husband has made use of their glass fusing offering and made his second piece today. Beth, the owner is very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this for everyone.

This has turned into my and my cousins’ go-​to ceramic studio. When I suggest to them that we try another place to compare, they outrightly refuse. I’m glad they do. This studio is cozy and I cannot reiterate how helpful Jackie and Nicole are.
We recently had my cousin’s 10^th birthday party here, and both boys & girls enjoyed themselves. They included a beautiful keepsake plate for the birthday boy with names of all his guests.
Last week, I «betrayed» Create It and painted a plate at Petroglyph’s out of convenience — the location is much closer to where I live in Los Gatos. The project required a bit of writing and I found none more suitable for the job than Jackie. It was nice of her to do that even though I bought the piece elsewhere.

Lots of colors and pieces of pottery to choose from. Friendly staff and cute location. Kind of on the spendy side, but I would recommend this to others.

I have always regretted not getting my 4 y/​o son’s handprint as a keepsake when he was a baby, so I came here to get one for him, along with my newborn daughter –with their handprints side-​by-​side. The plaques came out beautifully and will make an amazing gift for the grandparents too. You think that you will never forget how small your baby once was, but somehow you do — it amazes me even the difference one month in age will make! The owner, Beth, is gentle and lovely — she surprised me with a tile footprint memento for my daughter and said that it’s something that she gives everyone with a baby under 3 months. A really nice little extra!
I am really glad I ended up choosing this studio. A friend of mine had her daughter’s prints done at Color Me Mine and was unhappy b/​c she thought they looked too «homemade», so she had them re-​done through a service at Day One and those turned out very nicely but cost almost $ 150. My plaque included two handprints — one of my 4 y/​o son, and one of my 10 wk old daughter; it came out beautifully, and was a very good value (under $ 60 — but there are some options that cost less ie. only one print, smaller plaque, etc, etc). There are also sales and deals through their website to make it an even better value. Ultimately, I LOVE my little keepsakes and will treasure them always. Thank you so much Beth!

We had my daughter’s 6^th birthday party here earlier this year. She loves to draw and paint so this place made a lot of sense!
We paid $ 25 per person with the Classic Package — the kids pick out a piece of pottery ($ 22 value or under, or you pay the extra $ to get more expensive ones), the studio helpers get paints for the kids and they paint to their hearts’ content. We also paid for an extra ½ hour to have time for snacks, cupcakes and drinks (which we brought).
Note: ask parents to just drop off their kids. Create It discourages too many people from hanging around the small studio (one non-​artist per 5 kids is allowed for free then they charge a small fee). Also, decide upfront and let your guests know if they can bring siblings or not. :)
This wasn’t Birthday-​Party-​on-​the-​Cheap but it was easy and the kids had a lot of fun!

I took the young adult for a girl’s day and we had a blast — the staff are very sweet and helpful, the holiday music added to the ambiance of the day. I/​we will definitely be returning (not just to pick up our pieces!).
