Construction On Time, Inc

I had a major house fire in January, I called several contractors but I was very impressed with Peter, he might come out strong in his attitude but that’s how he is, straight forward, he’s European with an accent, I have an accent too, his work so far is awesome, I watched him works with his employees and saw how he delegate work and he’s on top of everything, he’s not afraid to tell anyone to redo the job or correct him. He is hard working and he does does work with his employees, I had another contractor couple of years ago work on the same house, that contractor will not work, he just supervise and leave, Peter will work with the rest of the crew until the day end. The house is not done yet, two more house, thanks Peter, great job so far.

I think everyone in their right mind would agree that if you have a problem with the foundation to your home, that would qualify as a «major repair» in any home owners book. Apparently not so for this company.
I called these guys to see if I can get an estimate on a foundational issue i have with my home after seeing their add on Craigslist. The floor is very unstable and needs some structural reinforcement underneath the subfloor. I also wanted to remodel both my bathrooms (a service they explicitly state they perform on their website if you visit it), and access the foundation through one of the bathrooms. Here’s how the conversation went:
Me: I’d like to have you guys give me an estimate to repair my foundation and remodel both my bathrooms
Them: We don’t do small jobs
Me: No, you don’t understand, I want you guys to take a look at my foundation issues and remodel my bathrooms. Those are both major repairs and your website says you do home remodels and renovations.
Them: You need to hire a structural engineer to draw up a plan first before we even look at it. Otherwise, it’s a waste of our time.
Me: Ok, do you know of any «structural engineers» you’ve worked with in the past that you can refer to me?
Them: No. We don’t deal with structural engineers.
Me: But your website says you do complete home remodels? You can’t look at my foundation to see what can be done or to at least give me quote on my bathrooms?
Them: We don’t do that kind of work
WTF!!! You guys are supposed to be a general contractor! The guy I spoke with [the owner perhaps?] totally patronizing on the phone with total condescending attitude. And all I wanted was to hire the guy to do what he advertises on his website.
Hey Construction on Time, Inc. I don’t know what your issue was with my request, but by the tone of your voice and your attitude towards a potential customer, I seriously doubt your integrity and your ability to perform your work. You tell me to hire a «structural engineer» first before you would even consider giving me an estimate, but yet can’t refer me to one I can hire?
Totally rude. Totally unprofessional. Totally unhelpful.

I don’t typically write reviews but was so impressed with Peter and Tom. They really did a great job on my closet remodel. I truly had no idea how I was going to create more space but they had a great vision, suggestions AND application. I am looking forward to saving my pennies and hiring them again for the next project! Thank you!

I don’t typically write reviews but often use Unilocal to help make decisions. In this case, I felt I needed to voice my opinion. Peter came to «install a bathtub». Previous contractor’s did a crappy job and we had to «redo». Peter and Tom did a fantastic job — from being on time, to honoring everything he said he would do, to his fair pricing. The guys did a fantastic job… looking forward to hiring Peter for the next project! I wished I had a bucket full of money so that Peter and his crew could redo my whole house.

Peter Luckiewicz runs a really tight ship. He is a bear about schedules, materials and workmanship. We used Construction On Time to do a major reconstruction of our master bath, and the work was done promptly and efficiently. I was particularly impressed at Peter’s supervision of the workers that provided services that Construction On Time did not. That included shower door fabrication and installation, and fabrication and installation of quartz composite shower walls. He watched their workmanship and their clean-​up like a hawk.

I used Construction On Time for a room addition to my house. Their work and value exceeded my expectations. Peter and his crew were friendly and understanding, even when I decided to change a few things after they started work. Best part of working with these guys is that the entire project cost what they said it would (unlike some other contractors I’ve used in the past)…and like the name says, they got it done on time. The quality and look of the new room makes me wish they built my whole house!

Construction On Time was so great, I brought them back for a second project. I used Construction On Time in 2008 to remodel my master bathroom. Peter and his main guy (Tom) did a fantastic job with the bathroom. I picked out beautiful natural stone travertine tiles for the flooring and shower. The shower enclosure is clear glass and looks awesome. I love my granite counter top sink! The team was also very cost conscious but surly did not cut any corners on quality workmanship.
Everything was done 100% professionally. Peter came out and gave me an upfront consultation and free quotes, estimates and even some great design ideas. The entire job was fully permitted with the City of Saratoga. Even the city inspectors said that the Construction On Time team did excellent work.
In 2011 it was time to attack the main bathroom, the big one! Dual sink and complete face-​lift. I couldn’t be happier which is what prompted me to write this Unilocal review. Again, Peter, (Tom), and the rest of the crew were back and this time we had a lot of fun with picking light fixtures and plumbing fixtures. The bathroom looks gorgeous. My sister could not stop commenting how she felt she was at a luxury hotel when she came over.
This time we did full granite slabs in the shower (Peter’s idea), Love it! Soo easy to clean without grout tile. It looks amazing. We used a glass tile on one accent wall and all top of the line plumbing fixtures: Hansgrohe and yes, the silent closing toilet seat which made Toto famous. I never thought I’d be so excited over a darn toilet!
And once again, the Construction On Time was literally on time and super flexible. During the 2^nd bathroom remodel I wanted to add a new solid six-​panel door to the bathroom (oh and all the other hallway doors x 8)! Graciously a change order was in place and voila, beautiful hallway doors to complete the feel of the new bath entry.
The city inspectors passed our permit signings every time the first time! Thank you Peter (and Tom) and the rest of the crew at Construction On Time. I’ll be giving you a call when I’m ready to do my kitchen!!!
