I LOVE Pizza Athena! I stuffed my face for the first time with their pizza, and I plan to come back for more!

staff was very friendly and the pizza looked great. The dough was nice but sauce was OK and the cheese must have been cheap version since the pizza was very greasy. The salad and garlic bread was great — big portion. I am not a local, so next time I would try somewhere else.

Long delivery times, but I only assume its because they’re ALWAYS busy. I wasnt a huge fan of their pizza crust, but the pizzas were okay. I loved the Gyro. The fettucini sauce seems to split, which is unfortunate because the grease completely kills the flavor. However, I did get a seafood fettucini that was GREAT. I LOVE their salads, the greek salad is huge and they give you more than enough dressing and toppings. Everything is fresh. Dont expect quick delivery, but its worth the wait if you get the chef on a good night.

4 of us stopped by going to the Matanuska Glacier at about 9:30pm at night & we were hungry. After getting gas at the Fred Meyer, we doubled back to the pizza place. We split an extra large pizza — 2 slices each. Generous tasty mozzarella & sausages. We couldn’t finish it. Berp!

Wish Unilocal had more than 5 star to give. This place is unique in flavours! Tried there veggie pizza. Never ate such a wonderful crust with so much flavours. Ask them to brush it with Garlic spread. The owner was such a nice person gave us nice info to visit near by places. Dont’t miss to try this place. A must go if you are in the area.

We were hungry on our way back from hatcher pass when we came across this pizzeria. Owner Gary was very nice and shared info about areas around anchorage .They make fresh doughs every day and pizza was fresh and delicious .It’s a good option for vegetarians on their way to hatcher pass or Matanuska glacier.

My wife and I ate here a few weeks ago and I neglected to review it. I submit to the fate the Unilocal Universe seeks to mete out. Anyways. My wife and eaten here before when I was out of country and swore it’s the best pizza in the valley. I was naturally skeptical. The building is pretty unassuming and just outside of Palmer. I didn’t expect the food to be quite so good from such a small establishment. We ordered a classic pepperoni pizza and it was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to pick up a pizza. I am looking forward to the next time we eat there.

My family and I have had a lot of pizza around Alaska and we all agree Pizza Athena is the best tasting! The customer service does lack at times but the pizza is always worth it.

Pizza Athena is our families favorite place to order pizza from. We are never disappointed. Serving sizes are plentiful and usually provide 2 meals for a family of 4. I’d recommend the Dagwood sandwich, pizza & gyro.

I ordered(and took out) Greek Fries(served with Tzatziki but no feta) And a Gyro Calzone. Fries were good, but could have used Feta. The crust on the calzone was good, so, I’ll try a Pizza soon. If they keep it thin, I’ll be a regular.

So yea, this is my firest Unilocal review, but I have always used Unilocal to look for good places to eat. The reason I have never written a review is because honestly, I never really felt like spending the time to join. But after ordering a pizza from this place, I really, really felt like I needed to put my 2 cents into this. I just moved to the area, and was in the mood for a really good pizza. I spent about 40 minutes Googleing and Unilocaling, and reading about all the pizza joints in the Palmer, Alaska area. After reading all of the 4 and 5 star reviews on Unilocal for this joint, I decided to order. A simple order, Large, pesto sauce, pepperoni, linguica, red onion, jalapenos. The girl taking the order at 6:35 pm says, $ 26.75 and will be here in 45 minutes. Ok, so I call at 7:35 pm to see where the pizza is. «It’s on it’s way». 10 minutes later, a truck pulls into the driveway. It took the guy 3 minutes to exit his truck and make the 10 second walk to my door. 2 screaming kids and $ 30 later, into the kitchen we go. So, I really wish I could post the picture I took of this(5 star pizza). Flat. Cold. No flavor to the crust. More toppings on a Digiorno. It really did look like a piece of cardboard with some cheese and afew chunks of ‘stuff’ on it. The only thing that was recognizable was the pepperoni, and jalapenos. Trash. Garbage. If this is what people are mistaking for 4 and 5 star food, well,… I promise, there is better out there. So in the end, I am forced to give atleast a 1 star rating. I honestly couldn’t find a 1 star in this order. I can’t, I will not order from this place again.

I picked up a veggie pizza from Pizza Athena for dinner and it was so good! Lots of fresh veggies and plenty of cheese :) This was my first time going to Pizza Athena, I will definitely be back! Bonus: Hot pizza box in lap on chilly drive home = Awesome!

This is the best pizza in Palmer in my opinion. Because I’m from NY, I prefer the thin, crispier crust and that’s what they make. Always get my order right, always deliver it in a timely manner. My particular favorite is their white garlic chicken pizza. YUM!
