Fountains at Palmdale

–10 stars if it were possible. We had our apt broken into 4 times in less then a month and the apartment did absolutely nothing to assist. It was so bad that we ended up having to leave because someone kicked our door down while we were home and my fiancé ended up getting jumped over it in front of our 4 year old son. Again, the apartments did nothing to help and went as far to tell us that the security cameras they have dont work. worst experience of apartment living ever. The management team is lazy and has constant attitude. we had a rock thrown into our kitchen window by a couple of kids and they forced us to pay for it. This place is not kids friendly and most of the people living there are all criminals. The fact that our house was constantly broken into and the insurance we were forced to have while renting there did nothing to help pay for the loss of items (7 tv’s in total, my engagement ring, my laptop, our dishes and couch, and multiple sound bars) and them doing nothing to assist shows how horrible of a place this is. If you move here make sure to carry a gun at all times and keep your kids in the same room as you.

If you rent make sure you don’t hang pictures on the wall because they will charger you per hole. Also then they will expect you to paint the whole apartment due to that. What family does not have a picture on the wall. They should tell you that before you move in. My plenty years of renting have I not been charged for having picture hung on the wall. I lived here 2 ½ years never late on my rent had my rug stolen from the carpet cleaners had to come after mine and my neighbors living room got flooded. Mind u took two months to get my money back for the rug, also the floor damaged my sound surround which they did reimburse me for that and tv stand the flood damaged. Rent at your own risk today was my final day here once again mind you I haven’t lived here since July since I bought a house but still paid rent on time. SMH I shall find the laws that protect renters. Oh and they will raise your rent every year the max the law is allowed. Which they don’t tell you that when you sign your lease. I am very familiar with the Better Business Bureau
. I wish corporate would contact me in regards of my moveout cost. This apt building is trying to make money anyway they can. If you want drugs go to this apartment complex. Ghetto fab this building

Been here for a couple of months it’s ok

We were interested in a two bedroom apartment and were okay with the price. However, when we visited The Fountains, we were greeted by a very cold, very unfriendly leasing agent. Our visit was not pleasant at all. Although the community is extremely beautiful, customer service is of utmost importance to us and knowing that this is the attitude and unpleasantness we would have to be dealing with throughout our stay, definitely made us think twice. We opted out with a different, very pleasant and friendly community. The whole staff was rude, cold and seemed ANNOYED to speak with us and show us the apartment complex. annoyed at doing their job. As a customer, I would suggest a friendlier staff. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

This apartment complex is by far the WORST complexI have ever lived in, experienced, heard about. From the minute we unlocked the door our stay at the fountains was a miserable place to live. From the feral cats that had multiple litters of kittens on our patio that we then had to take care of to them spraying all over our patio and no matter how many complaints we made the management NEVER fixed that problem. Also, there is a «curfew» on holidays, your children are not aloud to play out front (we were told that was what our piss covered patios were for). The Manager (brenda) and my family had multipe encounters of rude and disrespectful behavior. To the point of us moving out as soon as we possibly could due to the misery that was that complex and now the move out statement being a ludicrous amount. We NEVER recieved a move out statement or scheduled walk through and now the complex is trying to charge us for damages that were absolutely NOT THERE! I have tried to get ahold of the complex manager multiple times with NO response and NO answer after 4 messages in one week. If you are thinking about moving here, DONT! RUN AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN! Also, forgot to mention our upstairs neighbor experienced BED BUGS! When they moved out the complex didnt even fumigate, just cleaned and had the next tenants move right in! Disgusting!

I lived here for two years! The office staff is so rude it’s ridiculous they treat you like you are the bottom of the barrel and you are paying them high rent EVERY month! The first year the pools were clean, the second year the pools had mold and they never fixed it. (I have pictures to prove it) They increase your rent every year and also your garage storage. They do NOT fix anything In a timely manner! One summer my AC broke I had to wait a week for them to come. The windows are paper thin. Everything in that apartment is just very cheap and it’s not worth the cost. They reassigned parking spots I never got one. I have to park way in the visitor parking and walk across the parking lot. The light fixtures are out and it’s dark! I can’t stress ENOUGH how rude the office girls are. They need some extra customer services classes. Terrible renting experience. I can’t wait until my lease is over in a few months. I’d rather go sleep in a homeless shelter then rent to these money hungry rude apartments! Ever since this new management since the last year I’ve seen moving trucks every month high tailing it out of there! Plus they are also roach infested! I have my apartment sprayed every month ! Choose another place where you are appreciated and more considerate of your money and living situation. These are money hungry monster. Unless you are desperate for shelter then live there

Worst expirence I have ever had! they need to do a back ground check on the office staff instead they are so unprofessional, poor customer service and uneducated. They are quick to collect your rent but will never take care of what you request, they never answer there phone and when they do they say they will call you back and never do. My AC was always giving me trouble when I lived there and when I final decided to move they charged me to paint to apartment, to have someone clean the carpet and to have a person come out and clean the apartment, after keeping my deposit they still charged me and additional $ 400.00. Trust me keep looking you dont want to live there with management like theirs.

Hurry up and fix our Air conditioner Already! Its way too hot to go without AC for the whole weekend. This is F***ed up. Shame on the Fountains

Warning!!! do not move here they are extremely nice to you when you’re filling out your applications and getting your keys and then when you’re in there they don’t know who you are roaches plumbing issues and there are cats everywhere

Did not even get a chance to look at the inside of the apartments. Not going to say my experience was a matter of racial circumstances, but I left offended, and treated extremely rude! How dare ANY apartment manager to «welcome» potential tenants with «WERE CLOOOSED NOT TODAY!»
There was no sorry, try again tomorrow, or even a reason for their closing before office was supposed to close. How rude! Get a new manager.

***ATTENTION*** Do not move in to the Fountain Apartments they are completely infested with bed bugs. The worst part is that Management does not care. They refuse to fumigate. They believe it’s the tenant responsibility. It’s not just one apartment unit but several. DONT BE A VICTIM! The only reason I gave them
1 star is because I had to in order to post this review.

Have lived here for the past 2 years and it has changed ownerships 5x within that time frame, but the staff quality remains crappy as ever. Nobody ever calls back when they say they will.
Maintenance is full blown Mickey moused. E.g. My water heater was examined by a contractor the apartments sent over and he was ver alarmed and said the leaking and crusting on top of it was extremely dangerous. Yet apartment maintenance refuse to change it saying it’s not actively leaking. Also my washer hookup only has scalding hot water, but they refuse to fix it because we are renting the w/​d.
They assign parking until someone parks in your space, then tell you there’s nothing they can do.
These are only 1% of my complains there is so much more. I’m frustrated with this place and tired of giving it a chance when my lease is up we are out. I’d rather pay more and not worry about if I’m able to use the laundry facilities because teenager (and immature adults) are in there smoking pot! If you like to live the ghetto LA lifestyle by all means you’ve come to the right place.

Just put a depost on the Fountains apartments. Verta, the Leasing Agent /​Manager was extremely helpful, professional, and nice. She even stayed over an hour longer to have Junior who was also helpful show me the apartment. It was nice and clean and newly painted etc. The price was just right, the building was clean and quiet. I had originally put a deposit on another place but I was so impressed that I got my deposit back so that I can move to the Fountains. They are now under new Management and seem to be doing a great job compared to the comments I read. I am looking forward to my new home. Thanks Verta and Junior for all your help. The Fountains is lucky to have you.

Would never recommend anyone moving to fountain apartments. My daughter moved there in 2012 and it was run by incompetent managers that let any one move in! Why do credit check, you should criminal back ground checks instead! I had to move my daughter out with in two months after moving her in there! It should be called disgraceful fountain apartments!

Wow. Prior to living here, I had a false sense of security with controlled access gates as I felt that they kept unwanted visitors out. In the case with The Fountains, these gates kept them IN! (unsuccessfully because they were broken half the time, but you know what I mean)
My number one issue was SAFETY! We had the police in front of our apartment every weekend due to a unsavory neighbor who was CRAZY. I am not over-​exaggerating, she collects disability as a result of a mental illness and did not take her medication. I understand that it would be discriminatory for management to refuse to rent to her, however, what if YOU had a neighbor who fought her family members right in front of your door? What if YOU has to deal with police every weekend? How about if a neighbor threatened YOUR life and the lives of YOUR CHILDREN? Quite dramatic, I know, and I seriously wish I was kidding.
Who’s side did the Management at this establishment take? Hers. We were told:
-«if you have a complaint feel free to take it to the police department» (police department knew the apartment number by memory)
-«It’s basically a case of she said, she said» Except we had maintenance men, neighbors, and visitors who all witnessed the threats, violence, and multiple «episodes». Stacey (the manager at the time) stated that the maintenance man who was witness did not speak english, he did. We spoke to him often and he spoke fluent english.
Ultimately, this place is cheap. It seemed wonderful.
I read these reviews figuring «it can’t be that bad» and really? How can you beat the price? We paid $ 715 for a 2 bedroom.
+ a crazy security deposit (over $ 1000) of which we only received 25% of
I have never met a single person who didn’t have a poor experience here. Obviously my experience could be the exception but I’ve heard the following stories (of course, they came after I moved in):
–Drug dealers
–Break in’s
–Management lack of consideration/​professionalism
–Drug usage
–Gambling on sidewalks
–Attempted child kidnapping
–Sexual and verbal assaults by neighbors
–Roaches/​Rats
I opted for an apartment on the westside for $ 200 more and less square footage, and I couldn’t be HAPPIER!
If you need comparable rent, I would recommend the apartments on 25^th street East (I’ve heard good things) or Ridgeview on Avenue R (may be difficult to get approved)
Whatever you do… DONT MOVE HERE!
I promise, ignore these warnings and you’ll regret it.

I have lived here for almost 3 years and I have seen the management change quite often. When I first moved in to the fountains I could not stop raving about the complex. I had very friendly neighbors and the grounds were very nice and putting in work tickets were taken care of quickly.
Now, well I can only say that during my stay I have seen and been through more than most can tolerate. Flooding in my master bedroom closet was a huge headache that happened twice. Recently they finally made repairs on the roof. Me and a neighbor of mine pushed them hard on this. Another irritating issue we have to push them on is the trash being picked up on time. We pay for trash, sewer, water and a processing fee for this service and we should expect that the trash is picked up.
When a major issue or a recurring issue pops up I feel like I have to write my congressman to try and get their attention. A few of us have made things very clear to them that if they want to keep getting our rent money they will need to stay on top of maintaining their grounds and buildings and getting to our work tickets in a timely fashion.
At this moment things are quiet since their are many empty units but if you are even thinking of living here I have few things below for you to consider:
Pros
+ Rent is cheap and certainly appropriate for this area and size apartment. $ 800 for a two bed; two bath.
+ close to schools and shopping and across from the park. I like to go to the park when it’s quiet and really no one around.
+ Management is nice and I usually talk to Gina. A little respect goes a long way so be nice and the maintenance guys are always cool.
+ grounds are maintained fairly well with the grass and juniper trimmings
Cons:
— overflowing trash is becoming an issue that we keep pressing management to fix. We pay $ 10 a month for trash.
— wild cats — some idiotic tenants feed these animals.
— Parking used to be assigned but we are not having a big issue yet on this.
— most speed bumps are cracked and have not been replaced since I moved in and they are overdue. I hate driving over these.
— noise can be an issue if you live downstairs. These ceilings and some walls are thin. My neighbor is cool and understands to keep things down especially at night.
— the outer building lights have been going out lately which is not safe. maintenance is slow to correct it or they just do not know until some is feed up enough to bring it to their attention.
Well, there is my take on this apartment complex and you will have different experiences depending on where you live and who you live around. Some residents are just rude, thoughtless and inconsiderate of others and their surroundings. My experience has been okay so I am not at the point to where I want to move since moving is stressful enough but I hope to continue to have neighbors in my building who are respectful and nice. A few of the rude neighbors that moved in less than a year ago are gone and I am very glad. The ones left are okay.
I will give the Fountains a 3 out of 5 stars.

Foolish me I moved back to these apartments. The apartment was so run down I almost cried when I saw it. There were holes in the wall and vinyl floor and paint on everything but I was told I had to take it since by the time I saw it the office was closed. I lived there for six months and the manager changed about five times. Taking any complaint to the office was useless because they would not do anything to help. The cost to stay in these run down apartments would have almost doubled for me to renew my lease. The gate was always broken, the outside lights were always out, my car was broken into. Basically stay far away from here.

Lived here for almost three years… It’s a roach motel! I also had my car broken into a few times…
