Marvin and team just installed a fireplace insert for my house. They were efficient, friendly, as nonintrusive as possible. When there was a problem, they took responsibility for it and and some free work to correct it. Highly recommended!

Marvin and his team were great. We bought an old house and had to have our fireplace and chimney completely redone. We were getting multiple bids from contractors that were over $ 10,000 for the work that needed to be done.
I finally called Brooms and Brushes and based on the chimney inspection report, they gave us several options on how to solve our problem. Marvin came out to take a look and they were able to give us an estimate within 24 hours. The solution that they gave us ended up saving us several thousand dollars! I love that they gave us options instead of just giving us a quote for a complete overhaul.
The fireplace looks AMAZING and works perfectly. Thank you so much for your great work and honesty!

Excellent service, super friendly and super clean. We’ve never had our chimney cleaned nor inspected in the 16 years we’ve lived in our house. Marvin came out and did both. In addition, he patched an area at the base of the gas line which was missing cement and fixed a wrinkle in the pipe which was there since installation (no extra charge). I selected this company base on all the 5 Star reviews (they cancelled out the 1 bad one) and I’m so glad I did. I’ll request Marvin for the next cleaning as he was efficient, professional and has a great sense of humor. He’ll even let you call him «Burt.»

Good, Honest Service — Marvin came out, inspected the system, showed us how to work the damper, and replaced the cap and collar on our chimney. No pressure, just good service!

Marvin and his assistant, Dylan, were AMAZING!!! They were on time every single day and worked very hard all 3 days to get our fireplace done quickly. They were also very nice, friendly, trustworthy, and professional. Also, they are VERY clean. There were no ashes or dust anywhere after they were done. They even cleaned my door steps. I would definitely recommend this company for all of your chimney needs!

Update: it has been a year and a half since I wrote my review. My house got a little smoky when I lit my fireplace the other night so I called to have it inspected. Turns out that the chimney was fine, it didn’t even need a cleaning. I had let the bottom of the fireplace accumulate a ton of ashes, and had the grate too far from the back wall. The kicker was, Marvin drove out from Palmdale, inspected everything, told us what the problem was (our fault), and DIDN’T CHARGE US a cent. What a mensch!

DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE! I had a simple gas fireplace that was working perfectly and I just needed it cleaned. Marvin came over and thus began the nightmare. First he got his broom stuck in the fireplace and proceeded to get VERY angry and uncomfortable to be around while he attempted for the next 3 hours to retrieve it, constant banging with me wondering what damage was being created by this so called cleaning. Then once he actually cleaned and finished, he damaged the marble fireplace surround. This perfect marble now has a huge stain and after first admitting to doing it and saying he would take care of it, came back later and said, ‘there’s no way that was from me’. So now I have to fix my fireplace. He was a nightmare and the experience not only cost me time, but money. He will RUIN your FIREPLACE!

I have two homes one in the Antelope Valley and one in the South Bay. Both homes have fire places. Marvin was highly recommended by a friend. He is fair fast and simply Fantastic in what he does. Impeccable service, on time and very clean worker. Marvin replaced my gas burner and installed a new gas log set for my home in the AV on March 7^th 2014. Marvin has to be the best of the best at chimney serves. He takes pride in his work for a fair and reasonable price. This company is wonderful and I will continue to call on them when needed.

I echo the comments of others!!! If I could give 10 stars I would! I have two fireplaces — one downstairs from the other. When I lit a fire upstairs, smoke entered the bedroom downstairs. Another company had given me a quote when I moved in of $ 10,000, saying the entire chimney needed replacing. Marvin looked, saw the issue and suggested a cost effective alternative. He also took photos of cracks at the top of the chimney. He fixed both for $ 280! Marvin is honest and thorough. Cannot recommend him highly enough!

i called because my dryer wasnt working well. i left a message and they called me right back. gave me estimate over phone. i highly recomend them. they were on time, called befoore to confirm, bill was low than anticipated. from the beginning to the end perfect. they are very professional. use them, you wont be sorry thanks alh
