Patton Door & Gate

What a life saver. Called yesterday afternoon and they were here the next day. Our gate blew open in the wind and pulled out of the block wall. Boom! 40 minutes later, fixed and better than when originally installed. Thank you Antonio for your work this morning! No worrying about the dogs getting out now!

This company is very professional and very reasonably priced. I have a large side wrought iron gate at the side of my house that was nonfunctional 8 years ago when I bought this place. It was misaligned and quite beat up from years of wind and weather. I was using bags of rocks to wedge it closed on both sides so the wind wouldn’t blow it open. The manager came out to discuss options with me and considering it’s like almost a 14 foot gate with 2 panels that both swung in opposite directions it was quite the mess.
He gave me 2 options for repair. Option 1 was to repair the gate as is and make both panels swing out in the proper direction and option 2 was to modify the gate by cutting it and putting a partition each side and making the gate itself smaller. More like 2 five foot panels with like a 2 foot fixed panel on each side. I chose option 2 which was more work and more expensive because this option made both sides of the gate be able to open all the way without having landscaping be on the way.
It was a much bigger job then I thought. The crew was here for about a day and a half cutting the old gate into sections installing new heavy duty posts. Welding the new modified gate with stronger jambs and welding heavy duty new hinges on the new posts. For the amount of work they did with 2 men I think the price was very reasonable and considering the gate was bent and tweaked from the wind they were able to plumb it up and make it fully functional with new latches. They also put primer on all the new metal installed making it paint ready.
I am very happy with what they did and would recommend them to anyone needing gate or door work done. I’m going to be able to use this gate for years before I ever opt for a new gate. Once I put a nice coat of rustoleum paint on this old gate it’s gonna look like brand new.

We needed a new garage door opener. Danny and Eric were great! They were very respectful and answered all questions. Eric installed it yesterday and did a great job the opener is so quiet and glides up and down well. We would refer all our friends that need garage door work. Also they replaced our springs. The Lady that answered the phone was also very nice. Keep up the Good Work.

The office staff and some leadership should listen to the client better. In hindsight after a garage door install other choices could have been made. If you’re expert at what you do, you can offer options and alternatives. After realizing I could have made other choices, these options were not discussed. When made mention– the excuse mill of replies ran rampant.
Really– don’t clients look to you for your product knowledge — and pay a bit higher price, by choice, for that knowledge. With the next purchase we went with another company and the rep was great. And I prefer to use independents…
Yet the field service reps were great…
Unfortunately, I felt like the little guy that doesn’t count for anything– good luck in the future

In my opinion, Patton is by far the best garage door company in the Coachella Valley. The service is outstanding from the office staff (Laura is awesome) to the service technician (Danny is unbelievably knowledgeable). I have used Patton for regular maintenance as well as «emergency» calls. They are very responsive, always courteous and professional. I can’t imagine using anyone else for garage door issues. I wish all companies here in the Coachella Valley were like Patton Gate, but unfortunately they’re not.

This was a simple installation of a garage door opener. The technician did not bring a 3 foot extension cable which was needed to reach an AC outlet in the garage ceiling. So the opener could not be set up. Really.
Then he said I was supposed to go out to a hardware store and buy one… uh…while he’s alone at my house? I don’t think so. I’m paying $ 400 and you can’t provide a $ 3 part?
Then for months the door intermittently wouldn’t close. The same guy came out again to check it. He made up some bizarre reason and left saying it was fixed. That night it wouldn’t close again.
I called and spoke to a manager. He was testy, rude and acted like he was doing me a big favor to come out. He kept warning me if the censors were misaligned he was going to charge me for the trip. Uh. they are lit as they should be… Then he arrived, argued with me for 10 minutes about why they don’t bring a power cable in case it’s needed… ok…they don’t provide a $ 3 part for a $ 400 installation?
Then he has no tools in his truck… no really… and now he’s going in and out of the garage on his phone trying to get someone to bring him tools. Rude, unprofessional and poor customer service.

Great service. The owner himself came out immediately because the rest of the crew was busy when my garage door wouldn’t close. I will always use them.

A friend of mine recommended Patton Door & Gate after he’s used them for over a year. Stephen showed up to assess the damage and quickly emailed me a quote for two garage doors that needed lots of work on condo unit I just moved into. I then called a couple of other companies to compare but got a really bad feeling from both. One wanted to replace my entire garage doors, which was unnecessary and a very expensive project. The other kept asking me in technical terms exactly what I wanted done, when I would’ve preferred he told me what I needed to do to just get them to work.
One of Pattons’ workers showed up early in the morning, finished the project and even cleaned my garage which was pretty messy with dirt. I find it hard to find good honest reliable people for home services in this Valley, once I find someone good I don’t let go.
