I orginally went to Dr. Bell at ICON and loved him, but I changed insurance and he does not take my new policy. I now go to Dr. Pardino and he is fabulous. I cannot think of anything negative to say about either of them. I go to a highly rated cardiologist at Eisenhower who had a knee replacement by Dr. Rogers at ICON and he raves about him. Yes, you do wait a long time because they are very busy. I just make my appointments before 10:00 am and have almost no wait time.

The doctors have always been so great. But they changed there front desk staff and they are not so professional. I have been here now 3times in the last 6weeks. And the persons in front are not nice, friendly and look at us as if no one is in the room with time.

I can say this Orthopedic Office was a waste of time, money, and effort. If you have an appointment here you might just want to cancel it and stay home and throw your copay in the trash. It would be more productive than getting up and out of bed only to see an inexperienced physician assistant than a real doctor and then they have the balls to tell you «there’s nothing we can do for you» when your primary doctor obviously sent you there for a reason. I have a spine and hip problem but they can’t help me. Makes no sense. Then give me back my money! Please don’t waste your pain on this office. There are much better places to go. Anywhere but there. I am very upset and mad that this was my outcome. My primary physician and attorney are in disbelief too.

I am also surprised to see the negative comments about Dr. Pardino. I was switched to Dr. Pardino for a knee replacement after another doctor at ICON could not fit me in and I could no longer walk.
Dr. Pardino took the time to explain everything that would happen both before and after surgery and during recovery. In fact, he painted a picture that was worse than my recovery was. I was terrified to have this surgery before meeting Dr Pardino.
I am almost 3 months out and recovery has been easy and as perfect as could be. He was thorough in his exams, gave me adequate pain control and he and his staff were there to answer any questions and concerns I had.
After being with ICON for several years trying to save my knee I cannot say I am as happy with ICON as I am with Dr Pardino and his staff but I was blessed to have been switched to him for my knee replacement surgery and ICON is very lucky to have him on board.

A week later and still no call back from ICON and I have left 2 subsequent messages. I have called my healthcare group twice… finally I just got fed up and called Advanced Imaging myself to see if they had the referral yet… they do… thanks for the call to schedule it. NOT! I don’t understand why it is so difficult to return a phone call. RUDE! I would not recommend ICON to anyone who wants to get care in a timely fashion. As for Desert Advanced, they need to improve their call back skills as well. The staff there is generally very friendly and other than the call back issue I have never had a problem with services there.

I’m a bit surprised by the negative comments on here. I’ve been going to ICON for a number of years. The wait to see a doctor if you’re appointment isn’t first thing in the morning is a problem but the doctors and nurses are outstanding. Dr. Pardino has been amazing. I’ve been nothing but please with both his care and his demeanor as well as that of his staff.

This deserves no stars but you can’t do that. Was kept waiting two hours. When Dr. Pardino finally saw me he was rude and dismissive. I filed a formal complaint against him. Avoid this place at all costs!!! Go to Star Orthopedics in La Quinta instead. even though it is over a half hour away, you are in and out in 15 minutes. Add that to travel time and I’d still be waiting to see «Doctor» Pardino.

Recently, I tore my right PROXIMAL bicep, Acute! I am an IT Engineer for 20 years and a Certified Personal Trainer with medical training due to Type-​1 Diabetes. I know what I’m doing and the surgery that is needed. The first person I met was Dr. Manny, P.A., who took 2 steps into the examination room and said, «That requires Surgery and will need a MRI before DR. SYDNEY PARDINO will see me. I did the MRI and rescheduled to meet the «doctor». So far, this has taken 3 weeks! A torn bicep should have repairs done between 3 — 5 weeks. When Pardino stepped in, he stated that he refused to do surgery. This is without seeing me or my MRI. He was going off of what Dr. Manny had noted and before examining me or even seeing me, had decided that he would NOT do surgery due to the possible law suits and stated that this was a cosmetic surgery!
Mr. Pardino is NOT a doctor in my book! You cannot diagnose a person off of hear-​say nor without an exam. He already decided what I will do without any discussion and wasted 3 – 4 weeks to have mine repaired.
I have 2 options, one is to do non-​surgical recovery, if the bicep is not completely torn (mine is) or Surgery when it is completely torn from the shoulder.
I am currently seeking a second opinion to have the surgery done. If the 2^nd doctor @ ICON located at Desert Regional Medical Center denies the surgery due to working at the same clinic, I will appeal this to my insurance company and go outside my insurance to have my surgery done!
My suggestion to others that are scheduled with Pardino is to reschedule with an actual doctor who does an examination before telling you what is going on. No guess work!
