He came by first time and did great work. I really liked him. However 3 months ago I really needed some work done immeditely. I called him 10 times, and even texted him. He never responded to me, so I called someone else. Can’t understand why he ignored my calls. I don’t understand how you can be in business if you ignore a customer.

Dennis advertises extensively on Craigslist. I found him there when I wanted to get two dog doors installed in our new desert home. My first phone call received no response to the message I left. I called back the next day, he answered and we agreed that he would come over the following day in the late afternoon (his choice of time) to give me an estimate. He never showed and didn’t respond to any texts. The next day he apologized by text and set a time that day to come out. He showed up, spent two minutes with me, gave me a very reasonable estimate and said he could come back the next day at 2 to do the job. Once again he never showed up and didn’t respond to multiple texts. Seemed like a nice guy in the two minutes I met him, but the poor communication and failure to show up when promised is just too frustrating.

I hate to give a bad review, especially to a small business. However I had a similar experience to Krista below. Mike was supposed to come by at a specific day and time. I made the appointment the day before. He didn’t show. Worse, I texted many times and called. There was no response at all. It is now two days later and no word from him.

Dennis was awesome. New to PS and had a few Condo issues of which I wasn’t able to fix myself. My kitchen faucet was broken and leaking… Dennis went with me to Home Depot to get the correct replacement and then he installed it quickly. He fixed a door as well (and didn’t charge me). Being «handyman challenged» I was most grateful for his help. Highly recommend! Good guy!

I found Dennis (DI Handyman) on craigslist. We purchased a suite of new kitchen appliances but needed him to install a new microwave oven/​stove fan and a dishwasher. I interviewed another vendor from Angie’s list. But when Dennis visited he just demonstrated a more comprehensive understanding of the details involved. The microwave/​fan involved removing cabinetry and installing new a new cabinet followed by installation of the appliance. Dennis is a great professional. He was always responsive (be it email, phone inquiries or showing up on time). The installation was top-​quality. As I suspected he did know the intricacies of doing a professional job. I highly recommend him. We’ve reserved him next week for some additional work!

My elderly brother-​in-​law lives in a manufactured home in Palm Springs and needed some maintenance. I called Dennis to repair a leaky kitchen sink drain (he unfroze the garbage disposal and tightened the pipes and that is fixed). I also asked him to check the door from the carport into the home which ceased to latch (he moved the strike plates for the latch and deadbolt and that was repaired as well). A toilet had been leaking so Dennis replaced the float and the valve and it works like new. He arrived on time in a lettered-​van in which he stores extra parts. His invoice was reasonable. He is very professional and capable. I will call him next time I need repair service. He’s a nice guy, too.

I used DI Handyman on a few occasions. I stopped using Dennis when I made an appointment with him 10 days in advance to finish a room where my sick father would stay for Thanksgiving. I confirmed with him again five days before. He still totally flaked — didn’t show or call to tell me he wouldn’t be here. Just pushed my job aside because it wasn’t convenient for him anymore and was rude to me on top of that. That’s not a handyman service.
