History

Established in 2013.

The Stacy Jacob Photography studio opened in February of 2013 when I realized how important it was for everyone to have beautiful photographs of themselves. In May of 2010 everything changed for me and the direction of my life. A friend of mine was battling cancer and she looked so beautiful bald I had to capture her in photographs. I didn’t want to forget that time and all that her baldness represented. Strength, acceptance, love, new appreciations and unexpected blessings.

After that, along with the help of my since recovered friend, I started photographing others who were bald from chemotherapy, a joyful, beautiful experience that may be more rewarding to me than even to them. I saw in a few hours how someone went from self-​loathing to self-​love, how they hadn’t seen the beauty that had been there all along. But I had seen it and my camera showed them. That endeavor has since become a non-​profit called Turning Heads and shortly thereafter Stacy Jacob Photography was born.

Stacy Jacob is a portrait photographer, specializing in unique, modern, magazine-​style portraits. She photographs families, children, head shots, high school seniors, children in all stages and pets. She is an expert in the art of capturing true beauty and gives everyone the opportunity to shine and to look and feel their absolute best. Creating artwork for the home and family heirlooms for future generations, Stacy operates a boutique photography business based in the Coachella Valley. She provides a completely custom experience including guiding clients through a personal design consultation, image selection, gifting and home décor options. Providing both lifestyle and studio portraits, Stacy feels strongly that the experience of creating the photographs is as important as the images themselves. To that end, she creates a natural, fun and comfortable experience for everyone.
