Lappert’s Ice Cream

Loved the delicious ice cream. Worth the price. Recommend their pistachio ice cream. My favorite. Their ice cream is made specially for Lappert’s. The waffle cones are made in the store. Will definitely be telling everyone about this place.

Okay they have a huge sign saing Dole Whip!!! Which had me telling my hubby pullover i want Dole Whip!!!

They have a whole soft serve of Dole Whip bout 6 flavors BUT they ran out of PINEAPPPLE (and orang)!!! all kind of signs saying they have the pineapple dole whip like in hawaii or disneyland… but no pineapple.
Asked the ONLY person working (took a bit before my turn. i was second in line??)
She said they ran out from the weekend rush… still for your TOP flavor you would think thry keep it in stock
Anyway had the mango with fresh pineapple n strawberries (similar toppings l Iike you get at yogurtland but missing mochi. boo).the mango was good but didnt make up for the p I neappke: (
Also the lappert’s icecream was great. pistacho and kau pie (coffe macadamia n chocolate) together was great.
Had to take 1 star for running out of DOLE WHIP pineapple and 2^nd (service) more for the DOLE WHIP yeah i was really sad bout this.

The BEST ice cream you will ever have is here! I will travel from San Diego to eat this ice cream it’s soooo good… and wonderful service too… so many flavors. All great… Don’t skip this place… local hang out with families/​kids. Go enjoy life here…

I’ve lived in the desert for 18 years and this is definitely the best ice cream place in town!

This place is the best. I’m not one for ice cream, but it’s all about the Dole Whip. My daughter loves their ice cream!
Only downside is they refused to do any kind of discounts or group rates for our special Ed school field trip… kinda a bummer.

Delicious! Love the Pineapple Dole

When we stepped in to the store we were immediately awestruck by the many choices. The store layout had a homey, deserty feel and was a welcoming site seeing that there weren’t that many other ice cream parlors. Some of the choices of ice cream were French vanilla with caramel, or coconut macadamia nut with chocolate fudge. If ice cream wasn’t your fancy than you could also have a dole whip, pineapple, strawberry, or cherry, there were eight different choices! You also could have a date shake if you were fell’n it. The help was also very nice and let us have as many samples as we wanted and was overall very helpful. I will defiantly come here again and I hope that you have just as good of as an experience.

Any pay by the ounce with tons of toppings like Yogurtland except they have DOLE WHIP. 8 flavors of DOLE WHIP. Man this place is great.
If you like ice cream their ice cream is fantastic as well. Very creamy. Excellent texture and temperature. The flavors lean more towards tropical with lots of coconut, nut, coffee, etc. We went here both nights we stayed in the dessert and everybody loved whatever they got — yogurt, dole whip or ice cream.
Make a trip down here. You will not be disappointed.

Whatever creamery confection you like, they have it. Plus, the Dole Whip was so delicious. Hot fudge was thick and bittersweet. The woman behind the counter was very accommodating. They even offer a half scoop. A must if you’re looking for an ice cream place in palm Desert.

Yay! Dole Whip in the valley! Taste just like the one in Disneyland except this place has different flavors as well

First timers here on vacation, this place was pretty good lots of different flavors. My boyfriend got The rum ice cream, it was super strong I wouldn’t recommend unless you like rum lol. I on the other hand had a Guava cheesecake ice cream cookie. Very yummy only down fall is my ice cream melted very fast. The prices were a little high.
The 2 workers that were there were very helpful and knowledgeable in the products they were selling.

I am surprised that there is not more ice cream in the area, given the year round heat, Lappert’s came to the rescue.
Tons of refreshing flavors, one tastier than the next.
Great service, fair prices and everything we sampled and bought we enjoyed.
Much different than your average ice cream, I think any of the fruit flavors are best.

I have been to Disneyland many times and enjoyed their dole pineapple floats. I never thought anywhere would come close, but this place in the middle of the desert, managed to copy it to the T. It was delicious and at a reasonable price, especially when you are typically paying an up charge. This location also has a ton of different flavors that one can try. On a hot day, this place hits the spot.

It was hot and dry. Water would only temporarily quench my thirst. I needed something stronger. I was excited when I noticed on my Unilocal app that Lappert’s was in Palm Desert.
I remember the hot summer day I first set foot in a Lappert’s in Maui. So many exotic choices… The ice cream was dense and frozen solid just the way I like it. The flavors were so intense. Some of the best ice cream I have ever had.
This wondrous location has an unattended Dole Whip machine with sample cups. Dole Whip use to only be available at Disneyland. I tried the mango, pineapple, vanilla, and orange flavors. Wonderful coldness on my lips and tongue. Smooth with unique aroma and flavor. Blissful sensation as the creamy concoction glides down my throat. So tempting to keep sampling the Dole Whip but there was ice cream to try…
Cherry ice cream was rich and creamy with a strong dark chocolate flavor from all the chocolate pieces. Delicious cherry flavor.
Guava sorbet taste just like the fruit.
White chocolate. Tasted like a mix of vanilla and white chocolate flavor. Rich. Delicious.
I love how the ice cream is dense and holds rich flavors. So much better than store bought ice cream. The biggest dilemma is what to get…

Let me just start out by saying Lappert’s should get more than 5 stars for being open on Easter!
We had finished our dinner and in need of some dessert, but knew this would be hard to find because of the holiday.
When we arrived nobody was around, parking lot empty, just one loyal employee inside. Had to try the Dolewhip, they have small sample cups to make sure you like the flavor before committing yourself to a whole cup. Not a problem because I like all of the flavors! And many toppings to choose from.
In 1983 Walter started the company after months of brainstorming and planning sessions with his wife Mary and his son Michael. These discussions were held around the green marble table in his home, as well as at the small ice cream shop he owned in Sausalito California. His shop then served a locally produced ice cream which Walter always felt could be improved on, but mostly Walter wanted to make and sell ice cream in Kauai; his favorite place in the world to visit. «I want to open a store that makes and sells ice cream in Kauai» he said, and so the plan was made. If you visit the factory in Hanapepe Kauai, you will see the original building Walter built, and although it has changed quite a bit since the early days, his original concept of the highest quality product continues. Wow! Where have I been???
I parked @ Stater Brothers grocery store, Only to see the ice cream shop next door had an OPEN sign. I walked in to see what kind of ice cream they sell.
«DISNEY’S DOLE PINEAPPLE WHIP» had me!
I sampled 3 – 4, went to get my groceries, returned to buy DOLE WHIP in PINEAPPLE. They also have: vanilla, chocolate, mango, raspberry and orange! 2 locations here in the Coachella Valley. Clean, great service and very reasonable.

Let me just say… DOLEWHIP, DOLEWHIP, DOLEWHIP!!! Just like at Disneyland. You can get the DOLEWHIP float as well, but I prefer the whip. It’s sold by weight and you serve yourself from their fabulous soft serve machines. They have additional flavors of soft serve including other fruit varieties as well as vanilla and chocolate.
They have a huge ice cream selection with unique flavors and various toppings. I hear their date shake is pretty good.
The staff was friendly. It’s a cute little shop with an island theme. My husband and I were very pleased and I can definitely say we will be back. I hear they make other snacks that I have yet to try.

Came in after seeing this location on Unilocal.Owned by the same principle that owns the Palm Springs location. The business is located in a large strip center so parking was no issue.
I went with the two scoops of ice cream –macadamia nut and Kona coffee. The two scoops were heavenly tasting. The interior is sizable and there are several tables so i dined inside where the atmosphere is cute and comfy. The male server behind the counter was friendly and he really took care of me on the portions.
I’m so glad this location opened here. I’ll definitely be retuning since I usually stay in the Palm Desert area when visiting the Coachella Valley.

We visited the The Palm Greens Café in Palm Springs on our way to the Aerial Tramway, but were very disappointed in their Date Shake which was really a banana smoothie.
On our way back to Palm Desert, we looked up ice cream near us on Unilocal and found this Gem!
They have Dole Whip and shakes and other great things. The lady that helped us was very nice and offered us samples of the Dole Whip, Donkey balls and any ice cream.

The shake was made with your choice of any ice cream from the case, and we chose the Kona Coffee shake.
There were many flavors of ice cream to choose from. Standard flavors and low fat selections as well as unique flavors that you can’t get anywhere else.
We also bought Donkey balls which are chocolate covered macadamia nuts.
The shake was excellent and very tasty.

Very helpful, informative, & patient young man behind the counter… I didn’t get his name… I’m visual & he didn’t have a name tag… Maybe he’ll get one soon as this store is new… :-)
He gave me samples & explained the different options… told me that the owner of this Lappert’s is the same owner as the PS store… also told me that the flavors aren’t the same as PS… This store has a great variety of flavors of Ice Cream, Yogurt, & No sugar added… Tastes great especially on a hot day!
There were muffins & baked goods as well… I had to take the order to go as the hubby was waiting in the hot car… :-)
