Blue Orchid Thai Bistro

Didn’t feel like venturing out from the Resort only to find more mediocre food, had this delivered by LAbite literally for only an extra $ 6 and the food was the best we’d had all week. What a deal and they bring it to your hotel. Unbelievable.

Wow. I’ve enjoyed Thai food all over the US and this place is an insult. This is the 2^nd time we ordered out from there with a first time pick up and was embarrassed. The people coming in to eat didn’t have a reservation and were yelled at… mind you it was 8pm Saturday night and the place was ¹⁄₃ full. We ordered at least 7 dishes including basic Thai sinners like druken noodles, Phad Thai, salad rolls, prick King (sp), Thom Kai… $ 80 of food and it was terrible. I don’t know how Thai food can be bad… Everything tasted the same. This was the first time I didn’t enjoy or eat left overs. From the phone to pick up to eating experience. My recommendation is to drive by… go to Thai Smile for a $ 1 more per item. It’s worth it.
Btw if you watched Dude Where’s My Car you’ll appreciate. «And den». Waste of $ 80. And miss the leftovers.

We were going next door but the place was closed. Decided to try the Blue Orchid. Very good food and reasonably priced. I tried the red chicken curry with steamed rice and it was delicious. I will definitely come back here again.

I have been going here since they first opened about 6 years ago. Wonderful gourmet food! Try the Panang curry or the pineapple curry. They’ll make it as spicy as you want. 10 Stars!!!

Was not impressed with the food or the service. The restaurant was pretty cramped and the person who sat us was not friendly and was borderline rude. Didn’t even welcome us or say hi, just pointed at the table we were to sit at and slammed the menus downed… Then we had to the move the table because it was so close to the bar that the person sitting behind me couldn’t get out of his chair! We just ordered the chicken satay and the veggie spring rolls… Both dishes were not tasty and low quality. Maybe it was just a bad night…

This restaurant gets 2 thumbs up from me. I ate here the other night for the first time because my sweetheart said she was at the Starbucks next door one night and it smelled so good. So we gave it a try.
5 stars for good service. 5 stars for perfectly cooked delicious 3 flavor shrimp. 5 stars for a delicious 7 dollar glass of red wine. I highly recommend this place if you like Thai food. This place delivers the whole package. Bön Appétit!

One of my favorite restaurants in town. Such great prices for good quality dishes. Try the Thai Tea, it’s the best. I usually get the satay chicken with the cucumber and peanut sauce. I would definitely recommend taking your friends and family.

This place is the bomb! Excellent food, service and prices along with an abundance of choices.

I decided to go to Blue Orchid after seeing it had good ratings…
I am so happy I did !!
The food was absolutely delicious !!
We had the Veggie spring rolls which was probably one of the best I have ever had.
Also I usually judge a place by their Tom Kai Kai (coconut soup) and theirs was amazing !!
They use great quality all white chicken .
Also ordered the pad see eew chicken and Panang beef and they were delicious !!
Overall had the best Thai food here in the desert !!
Ambience is also low key and mellow. Service was also great .
Overall a great find !! Will definitely recommend and come back.

This place is really on my dislike list right now. I order here quite frequently and the food is okay for what it is. Today was a really tough day and so I got home and called in an order to go. They told me it would be ready in 10 – 15 min. So I got dressed and drove down. Now keep in mind it is a horrible storm and raining cats and dogs out right now. So I go out in the pouring rain to get my order to bring it home for the kids and was told they did not make it. They said it was not made because when I did not come in exactly 15 min they figured I was not coming. So apparently they do not make their to go orders until you get there? They said they do that because someone might now come get their order. So I was informed it would be another 20 –30 min until they cooked my food. What? I think they need a lesson in
the protocol of to go orders. So I turned around, came home soaking wet without anything to eat. And what really gets me is the owner would not come out and talk to me, she made the server take the hit when speaking to me. How tacky to do that to your employees. Avoid this place and go to La Basil instead.

2 stars not because of the food or the staff but because of the woman (possibly owner) who was loud and quite unprofessional on how she addressed incoming customers and staff. Her voice was heard all during my first 2016 meal as I was on a getaway for some peace and relaxation. I can only speak for myself but I noticed that other customers seemed uncomfortable with her ways as well. Staff was very kind and attentive. Food was good and comments around me were also extremely positive.

Sooooooooo good. I have had my fair share of Thai food and this place is LEGIT. Had Tom Kha soup, red curry beef and the best Pad See eew Ive ever tasted. Everyone super nice, atmosphere cute and quaint but, seriously… the FOOD.

So I’m updating from my last review. I really have to say that I love this place. They are always very friendly and work hard to make great food. I order pickup often and they’ve always been very accommodating. I will continue to eat here :)

Tasty food for a reasonable price and family friendly. Service is quick also. We enjoyed the yellow curry

The Lunch specials is pretty reasonable. I have tried the yellow curry, which was good. I was not happy with fresh spring rolls too chewey and small in size for price. The shrimp was not fresh with a stong odor. Not to say it was not cooked correct. Not much flavor .
The place is nice and clean, not sure if i will return.

Ordered to go last night — not a good choice.
Ordered the red curry with beef, ate about half of it… Got sick immediately! I was up all night throwing up, worst feeling of my life.

4.5 stars. Top-​notch friendly service. Filtered delicious water. I tried the pad thai medium spice with chicken. It was very good, lots of green onions and the chicken was delicious pieces of breast meat. Decent sized portion, I took half to-​go. Fresh chili paste (on the side) was good and fresh. Could taste the quality and freshness in the food. The service was impeccable without being stuffy or overly-​friendly. I’ll give it 5 stars if a second visit is as good as the first.

Simply put: A delight.
Service was terrific. We had a group of five with a 91 year old. They never let her tea get cold without pouring more for her every few minutes.
Som Tum salad was excellent. Very fresh and the dressing was nicely balanced. Drunken noodles were great as was the pad thai. Green curry was good too. The won ton soup had a great flavor to the broth.
Small clean strip mall type place. Easy parking in the lot behind.
