Only true old school fish and chips place in the valley. I used to come with my dad when I was little in the 80’s to the indio location. Just plain old school fish and chips but they also have a small Chinese food section on the menu never tried it and probably never will because I just come for the fish and chips.

I love this place. I was timid to come back, as this was a childhood favorite, but it’s lent and here I am on a Friday so fish and chips it is. This place still does not disappoint. As soon as I stepped in you’re wafted with the sweet celestial smell of purest fryer grease and frying fish. You would think that this is not an appetizing description. Well you should probably stop talking and thinking. And for safe measure breeding as well. We don’t need anymore of your frivolous thoughts. Also, more fish and chips for me you purile bag of human wasted accomplishments and shame. I got the fish, shrimp zucchini and fries. Holy fish. It fills you up and you have NEVER had a crunch like this, I tell you whut. I love a good crunch and this place had it in spades. On a sale of 1 to the Titanic in terms of crunching noises, this rates about a Lusitania. Look, just get over here. Your fingers might get a little greasy, but what is life without a little lube?

This is the first place i have ever tried the whole fish & chips thing. and by far it has been the only place where i really enjoy it, i tried eating at fast food places that serve fish and chips, but nothing has come close to Atlantic. Customer service was great, had no issues there, they had some friendly staff.

I’ve been coming here for years! And I mean like since I was in the womb years LOL This place has been around for a while now and nothing has changed… except for the location when they moved to palm desert from Indio. The owners are a sweet family and I believe it’s currently being ran by the nephew, who is a very nice gentleman… Which is why their customer service is great. Very nice people who treat their customers like family. I can only review the Combo E because I have getting that combo since forever. I refuse to venture out and try somwthing new because it’s that good. It comes with 1 fried fish, 2 fried zucchinis, and 3 fried shrimps. And to be on the healthy side, I substitute the fries for house rice because it comes with carrots on top. I pretend it’s a salad. The restaurant has a nautical/beach vibe, probably because they sell fish and well, the desert is nowhere near the ocean. I like to believe they’re magicians. BUT, the food is great. Don’t come here on a half-full stomach because the food is heavy and you should be hungry if you wanna attempt to eat. They also serve you all the condiments your little heart desires, like tarter sauce, hot sauce, soy sauce, malt vinegar… you get the point. Stop by if you’re in the desert and want some good ol’ fish n chips. You won’t be disappointed unless you’re from England, don’t like Americans, and the Queen of England is your Grandma. Enjoy!

NoWhere else in the coachella valley can you find an actual fish and chips place! Maybe served in an expensive restaurant but there’s nothing like this basic fish and chips place plus they have scallops, shrimp, hush puppies and even some Chinese take out items!!! Great find in a strip mall off the 111 highway In palm desert

Hubbys grandma said this place is amazing so obviously the foodie inside me wanted to go. Stopped by today and was so glad they are open, Unilocal hours were wrong. *******Tue-Sat 11:00am-7:00pm******** This place is known for their fish and chips but not really being a fan of fish, I opted for combo F — 6 shrimp, 3 zucchini, fries & slaw. The shrimp was so delicious and fried perfectly. With the tartar sauce it literally melted in my mouth. The fries were nothing special. Had a bite of the zucchini, it was okay. The slaw on the other hand was really bitter. One bite and it had to go. I took a piece of the fish from hubs grandma and despite me disliking fish so much, this place actually does a pretty good job making me enjoy their fish. It was fried to goodness but the fish inside was not dry. Though this place is located way out in the desert, I would come back because they do seafood right.

Don’t bother with this place. My husband and I like fish and chips, so we thought we’d give it a try. Fish was just OK, but my battered shrimp was seriously 2⁄3 batter and 1⁄3 spongy tasteless frozen shrimp. Chips were soggy and gross. Tartar sauce was not properly cold, and all the condiment bottles on the tables were so sticky and gross I used my napkin to hold them. And for that we spent over $ 20. Never again. I should at least say one thing nice; the service was very friendly, but that doesn’t make up for the overpriced tasteless food. I cannot believe some other reviewers think it’s the best fish and chips in town! Very sad that you have never had real, fresh, tasty fish and chips. Even Red Robin and Richie’s is better, and they don’t even specialize in fish and chips.

great quality food, fair prices. I love that the food isn’t saturated in grease, nice and light and crispy. if you’re looking for some great fish and chips and a decent price, this is a good pick

This place has been there forever. Absolutely the best fish and chip place in the desert. Been going here since I was a kid. I usually get«the boat» which is a crap ton of fish and chips and fries. It was so good! Great location, great prices, and the best food! Customer service is also really great. They will make recommendations for you if you have never been(for you rookies) an absolute must!

We have been meaning to visit Atlantic Fish & Chips for over a year now because we have been hearing good things. I am so glad that we finally made it and we will definitely be back again. It is just a humble family owned/operated restaurant and I really think that’s why the quality is so good and consistent. Everyone in my group had a very positive experience and enjoyed their meals. The batter that they use is the perfect thickness — not too heavy and not too light. You can tell that the fish is very good quality and very fresh. None of the items were greasy, so you know they have the fryers at the right temp and know what they are doing. I got the Combination A, which included 1 piece of fish, 2 jumbo shrimp and fries. I opted to get hush puppies instead of fries and they were awesome. It was well-priced for the amount of food that you get in the combo.

$ 5 worth of food for $ 10. I had the shrimp/fish combo. 3 shrimps and 1small, tasteless piece of fish with fries and 2 pieces of fried zucchini. I thought after reading some of the 4&5 star reviews that this might be good. What a ripoff! Almost $ 11 for greasy, tasteless fish. No thks!

Good Fish and Chips? Yes! Price is easily 20−30% higher than what I expected to pay… but that is purely a personal preference I guess you could say. The décor is classic English Chip Shop, the service was fine… The food though was pretty darn good(insert English accent here). The fish was crispy on the outside, flaky in the inside… and not as greasy as many I have tried. This great strip mall eatery has a corner on the Chip Shop fare as I have not seen another shop like it in the valley… and I think with a little care and forward thinking they could be a 5 star Unilocalers Dream for sure!

This place is small and clean. The lady at the counter was pretty friendly. I tried the fried fish and zucchini. It was about $ 8 for 2 pieces of fish and 3 pieces of zucchini. The zucchini was ok. The batter was like tempura batter but the flavor wasn’t quite the same as really good tempura. Definitely not as good as Del Mar Fair fried zucchini. The fried cod was very good. The batter was probably the same as on the zucchini but it tasted better on the cod. The fish itself had good texture and flavor. Next time I’ll try the fries or onion rings. I also sampled the chow mein. The noodles were ok. The seasoning used was pretty tasty but could have used more cabbage to balance out the flavors. It was mostly noodles with a tiny amount of cabbage. I like this place and enjoyed the fried cod and think this is a 3 and a half star establishment. I can’t award half stars so I rounded up to 4 stars.

First time back at Atlantic Fish and Chip since it moved to Palm Desert in the 90’s. Original location was in Indio across from the Indio Fashion Mall. Same as I remembered, fish is nice an crunchy and the tartar sauce is aas good as awlays. Deep fried cod fish is crunchy on the outside and moist in the middle. Coleslaw is ok, a little heavy on the mayo though. Fries are average at most sometimes a little soggy. Deep fried zucchini is good nice big slivers. I have only had the fish, chips, shrimp and zucchini.
