After a disappointing experience with another heating and air conditioning service provided through our home warranty company, I called Brian at Absolute based on his sterling Unilocal reviews. I was not disappointed. Brian is a hard working, friendly and thorough heating and air conditioning expert. While replacing a condensation overflow sensor in our attic that a previous vendor left disconnected, he found a second disconnected sensor on another air conditioner that he replaced. These disconnected sensors were attic flooding accidents waiting to happen. On a second visit, he serviced our air conditioning systems, clearly explaining what he had done and why. I feel much more confident after Brian’s visit that our air conditioners are ready for the coming long, hot summer, and I will be sure to use Brian in the future when we have air conditioning and heating needs. I recommend Brian without hesitation to anyone looking for a reliable heating and air conditioning expert.

Truly the most qualified, knowledgeable and most importantly honest HVAC tech I’ve met.
I had two companies come out and quote me on an A/​C fix, both claimed that the compressor burned out. quotes ranged from $ 2800 to $ 3200. Brian came and replaced a faulty capacitor for less than $ 100 and that fixed the issue. My A/​C is blowing like new.

We’ve had Brian from Absolute Air Conditioning & Heating out to diagnose our A/​C twice now. Both times he has been honest, professional, and very reasonably priced. The first time out, we asked Brian for a second opinion because we had our original A/​C company (a big name A/​C company in the valley which installed the unit) tell us that we needed a new coil for $ 2500. Brian found nothing wrong. Saved $ 2500. Two years later had him come out a second time 8÷3÷2015 because the A/​C stopped working. I gave Brian a call and left a message. I was too impatient to wait for his call back, so I dialed another number for a different A/​C company (another big name in the valley). Of course, right after I booked the appointment with the big company, Brian’s office got back to me. I said I’d already made an appointment. The big company came out and said that the compressor was bad because there was no continuity on the left leg. They quoted me $ 3000 for a new compressor with a 1yr warranty, or $ 4000 for an entire new condenser unit from Lennox with a 10yr warranty. I decided to call Brian back and get his opinion. He came out and said that the compressor was probably in safety shut off mode when the previous tech tested the continuity because once he added coolant, it worked fine. So we do have a leak somewhere, but adding coolant is a lot less than replacing a condenser that works fine. Brian recommended that we do an isolation leak test when it gets cooler and don’t have to use the A/​C for 3 — 4 days. He said he will then cut the pipes and hook up gauges to isolate each component to diagnose where the leak is. I already have it on my calendar to call Brian in November to come out to do this. I’ve learned my lesson twice now. I can’t trust the big name A/​C companies. They just want to sell me a whole new unit. Had we gone ahead with the big company recommendation for a new condeser, that might not have fixed our leak because the tech didn’t test the condeser for leaks. Maybe our leak is in the coil below the furnace or in the piping between the furnace and the condenser. I’m confident that Brian will be able to properly diagnose the problem and I trust that he’s not going to sell me something I don’t need. I’m recommending him to everyone who asks me if I know a great A/​C company. Thanks again Brian for running an honest and reputable company. Guys like you are so hard to find these days!

It was time for us to change the filters of the A/​C (thanks to my previous Unilocal review I knew AC check up was long overdue lol) and of course I called our favorite AC company in the desert. Brian is such an awesome and knowledgable guy. If you have any AC needs (I believe most do at least once a year in the desert as it’s soo hot), do yourself a favor and call them.

Once again the HEAT has done something… call the night it happens… Brian at he door at 9am… story ends well…

I do not know when I have dealt with a more knowledgeable, courteous, caring and honest person than Brian. Our outside unit quit after the fan blade broke. In addition, the motor was leaking oil and the worse for wear. Our unit is 12 years old which in turn made us feel that maybe it was time for a new one. We called Brian (as well as a few other companies) to get advice. Although all would sell us a new system, Brian focused on the question — «if it has been working fine, why spend thousands when a few hundred will give you a new fan and motor». He did not try to sell us on a new unit because he genuinely felt that a repair was all we needed. In addition, he made the repair sound simple and quoted significantly less than others. In conclusion, the repair was done quickly, professionally and our unit now purrs like a kitten. We saved a lot of money and have placed Brian at the top of our list of approved service providers for our condo. Thank you to Brian and Matt for awesome service. Brian is not only knowledgeable but he is honest. Pricing is very reasonable. I cannot recommend him enough.

He was GREAT. We had a new Honeywell Smart Thermostat installed by a Hydes last spring. When we couldn’t get the house to cool adequately in the summer, we called Hydes, who tried to sell us a new air conditioner. We call Absolute and Brian quickly diagnosed the problem. We have a 2-​stage air conditioner, and Hydes had connected only one stage when it installed the thermostat. Brian quickly rewired the thermostat so the a/​c works perfectly. He then, as requested, started up our swamp coolers for the season. He was on time, professional, reasonably priced, and obviously knowledgeable. He will be our new go-​to guy.

Absolute Air Conditioning is the only company I will ever use from now on because of the stellar service I received from Brian, the owner. Other companies said I needed a complete new unit, but Brian detected a Freon leak, fixed it and he saved me a ton of money. I found him to be honest, dependable, and he really cared about helping me! He also changed my filters to ones that were more efficient… no other company talked to me about that. I am completely, 100% happy with this service and hope others give this company a chance!

My air conditioner stopped working and I looked on Unilocal at the reviews and picked Brian at Absolute Air Conditioning because of the positive reviews.
I was not disappointed. This young man is a rarity.
He was on time, very polite, well groomed and SMART.
Guess what someone had turned off my air conditioner at the power source.
Brian then spent time to check all the wiring and the compressor and then cleaned my Unit as he felt badly for me. He then only charged me just for the call! It was with it because now I have a nice clean air conditioner (which needed it) and I now know who I am going to call to look after my air conditioner.

My loyal tenants had their AC unit fail during the recent high heat wave. Brian quickly went to their rescue to help them some relief while waiting for the new unit to arrive.
Not only was he fast in response but he came out on 4^th of July morning to install the new unit.

Just a note to say how good Brian at Absolute Air was: Brought him out to do routine maintenance on my condo in Palm Desert. Not only was this done in professional and efficient manner, but Brian identified and fixed a large hole in the evaporator casing in the attic (essentially, I was cooling my attic for years) and also that the original builder had reversed the primary and secondary condensation drain lines. Brian provided a detailed report which I provided to the builders who are now fixing the issue. All in all, couldn’t be happier with Absolute Air and would highly recommend them.
