A Helping Hand At Your Service is a personal concierge and errand running service serving the Chicago NW Suburbs. Services offered include running household errands (grocery/​personal shopping, post office, dry cleaners, drug store, etc.), house sitting/​pet care/​plant care for vacationing families or professionals on extended business trips, daily pet care and dog walking, transportation of seniors/​elderly parents and relatives to various appointments, helping new mothers with infant care and running errands or shopping, waiting in your home for service or repairmen while you are at work. These are a few examples — please ask if you don’t see the service or errand in which you are interested.

In addition to the business hours noted above, services are available before and after business hours, as well as on weekends and limited Federal holidays (services provided outside business hours will incur a nominal additional fee). Please visit the website or call for additional information.

History

Established in 2013.

This is an up and coming business that was established by the owner based on years of experience working outside the home and running her own household at the same time, and then helping her grown children establish theirs. She has a gift for helping others and will personally work with each and every client to assess their individual needs and provide the best solution (s) for their unique situation.

Paula P.

Business Owner

Paula grew up with seven siblings in the Pittsburgh, PA, area, and has two grown children and three grandchildren. She has resided in Palatine, IL, for the past 13 years and shares her home with two rescued cats. As a member of Willow Creek Community Church, she is actively involved in several ministries: as a volunteer in Promiseland, Willow’s children’s ministry, for the past 10 years, currently serving as a volunteer coach and leadership team member in the Infant/​Toddler age group; and as a volunteer in the Clothing Ministry located in the recently opened Care Center on Willow’s S. Barrington campus. Paula has a heart for children and seniors and a gift for helping others which makes her very suitable and well qualified to serve the clientele of A Helping Hand At Your Service. Paula is also certified by the American Red Cross in pediatric and adult first-​aid and CPR/​AED. If you need help tackling everything on your to-​do list, let Paula be the extra hand you need!
