Carmelo’s Bistro-Pizza-Fine Pasta

This was I believe THE WORST service I have ever received at a restaurant!!!
The first impression was already unpleasant. There was a one waitress serving and answering the phone in the whole restaurant, and the restaurant had around 20 people when we got there by the time we left the restaurant had about 35 people!!! After waiting for 2 hours, the food was still not served to us. Other tables had already started digging in despite coming and ordering later. We requested the waitress to check on our order and thats when she told us someone in the kitchen mixed up the order tickets and instead of our ticket to be 1^st up it was put up to be the last one up!!! Thats when the owner came to our table and started to raise his voice and yell at my friend and telling her that it was a mistake and that we needed to wait. Other tables begin leaving and new customers seated and served. In about another 10 minutes we received our Calzone and it was very raw inside!!! I assure everyone, NO words can describe the awful taste of the calzone!!! On our way out the owner shout it out loud BYEEEEE !!! This was so unprofessional and so rude!!! I’m just sharing my first experience with Carmelo’s Bistro-​Pizza, and definitely will be my last!

This was my second visit. The first one was a few weeks ago with my dad. We liked it so much we forced my mom to come tonight even though she had sworn off the place years back after a bad experience. SHE LOVED IT! Our poor server was so frazzled when we walked in. It was a full house and she was the only one serving. They ran out of lettuce for the salads and the ice machine broke… But she kept her cool and kept on chugging. Respect. The lettuce showed up, the ice machine got fixed and our dinner was awesome. They even made a special request for my vegetarian mom (baked ziti, not on the menu). Leo came to the table and jawed with my dad for a bit. Very nice guy.
I’m officially obsessed with the bolognese sauce. I’ve had it twice in house and picked it up on my way to Vegas a few times as well.

I have utilized their delivery service several times to have pizza delivered to me and my co-​workers at work. The pizza is always hot & fresh and shows up on time. Several different authentic toppings to choose from that other places in town simply don’t offer.
The Margherita & Florentina pizzas are two of our favorites and the prices are reasonable.

My wife had the lasagna and I had spaghetti and meat balls; we each had a glass of the house merlot. The food was good as was the wine. Service was fast and friendly, although the restaurant was not crowded.
We will return, and we do recommend the restaurant.

Excellent, better than Olive Garden. Sauce was. tasty. We got the veal piccata, spaghetti and meat sauce, spaghetti and meatballs, eggplant Parmesan, chicken Parmesan. Good value for price. A little difficult to find. Desserts excellent also. Staff very friendly. Highly recommend.

I think this place is struggling in a smaller community, hidden location, and limited patronage. It allows this place to limp along as it’s trying to balance quality with limited quantity and for the right price. If only the mindset in Pahrump would shift from buffett and mediocre foods to a better restaurant experience, this place would probably be able to step up their service and overall experience. I saw this same thing with Tomasino’s that was AMAZING ITALIAN. Keep eating here and perhaps they can raise the bar a bit more… good food.

Great food! Great service!!! My meatballs were definitely homemade, the pasta was great.

We started with the garlic bread and the buffalo mozzarella on tomatoes with balsamic vinegar. I ordered the Cappelini. It was bland and I had to add salt and pepper to it, the salad dressing on the salad was all vinegar and barely oil. I shared some pizza and the crust was very good along with cheese and sauce. I would say order the pizza if or when you come.

Had a late lunch there today for Memorial Day. The food was great and the service outstanding. I would recommend this to anyone. I think it is a hidden gem in Pahrump. He has been there for 8 years and is open after remodeling.

Carmelo’s reopened last weekend. It closed to remodel the kitchen. The menu and prices are the same. We had the Children Marcella and the Eggplant Parmigiana– both were excellent. The wait staff was fast and made us feel welcome. They have a well stocked bar with reasonable prices. The Canole is an excellent choice for dessert. Happy to see a good Italian Restaurant open again. Best in the area.

This place is a joke been there twice for dinner and found the doors locked twice on a weekday in the window it states open 7days a week BS. Don’t go and waist your time

Sadly, this restaurant is closed, I hope they do re-​open. It was the best Italian in Pahrump

Poor customer relations. Checked their web site on Friday to verify hours they would be open. Saturday arrived during what was listed as «open,» but it was dark. The door was unlocked so entered and was told, «Closed for remodeling.» To NOT LET THIS BE KNOWN ON their site is the poorest of poor.

Stopped by after reading all the great reviews on Unilocal.We enjoyed the food, but thought overall it was just okay. Nothing special to get me to come back.

Just had dinner at Carmelo’s Bistro. What an awesome place. My family and I had a great meal. Chicken Alfredo was excellent. Bruschetta was excellent as well. garlic bread and salad topped off a great meal. Service was great. Drinks were kept full but no hovering which we really appreciate. I would even say it’s a nice place for a date night. Thank you Carmelo’s I will be back to visit you many times over.

Excellent food and great service by the owner! I highly recommend this place if you live in or are a visitor to Pahrump, NV!

For an Italian place in a small town in the middle of nowhere this place is really good. There are a lot of US style Italian family eateries in the US and I’ve been to my fill.
I am particular about cream based pastas and got the Chicken Alfredo. It beats most places even in NY and definitely in CA.
I’m not comparing this to fine Italian like you get in Italy, high end places in NY or Tokyo because it’s totally different cuisine but against American family style Italian places.
Also came with a house salad which was not the best but not bad, just too much dressing and also with 3 pieces of garlic toast for $ 13. The garlic toast was good too.
They even have real coffee. Not the thin American muddy water stuff, but espresso based.
Didn’t try the dessert but after the rest I was tempted.
Really recommend this place if you ever end up in Pahrump for some reason where the pickings are slim. Don’t need to go all the way out to Vegas where it can be 2x the price and not as good.

Great real Italian food and superb service!

Very welcoming restaurant — I called 5 minutes ahead of closing at 9PM, and they waited for us!
Very good salmon pasta with a side of sauteed vegetables — everything tasted homemade — nothing out of a can. Pasta was al dente, as it should be.
Marinara sauce with the cheesy garlic bread was excellent!
Leo (nard) the owner made sure the service was excellent — he was friendly without being obtrusive.
If you are in Pahrump and want something other than fast food, this is it! I would come here again!

If you are looking for Pizza in Pahrump that’s not from a crappy chain, Carmelo’s is the place to go. The prices aren’t terrible, the staff is friendly, and the food is pretty good.
My boyfriend and I had been having a weird craving for pizza and Italian food lately, but we’re not the biggest fans of pizza. We decided to give Carmelo’s a shot. When we walk in there we are greeted by the owner and got to choose our seat. The place isn’t very busy with only one party there but it’s very well decorated and the atmosphere is awesome.
The owner sat us down at our chosen booth while cracking jokes and making us feel at home. I let my boyfriend decide since he’s paying for the meal and he decides we should get an appetizer. We order the Italian cheese bread which comes with a side of marinara sauce. It cost a flat $ 5 The bread was just the right amount of crispy and very flavorful. The only downside was it was a tad bit smaller than I expected. It was gone very quickly. The price was pretty cheap though, so it’s expected.
After that we decided to split a Florentina Pizza which had toppings of Ricotta cheese, Spinach, Garlic, and Parmesan Cheese. It also was made with a white sauce which we preferred since we aren’t a big fan of tomatoes. My boyfriend added Pepperoni to his half because he’s just like that. The pizza was nice and warm and we ended up saving a few pieces even though we weren’t really full because we wanted to taste the deliciousness later.
Overall, it was pretty satisfying. We’ll definitely be back. The only thing I can really complain about was the temperature of the restaurant. It was pretty cold so I would advise bringing a coat!
