Dr Van Blargen and his staff are wonderful! After not seeing a dentist for years, Dr. V saw me right away after I had a bad experience with another dental practice and put my mind at ease. His conservative approach and his kind caring nature was a welcome change from a previous dental experience. I will be with Dr Van Blargen for life!

I love Dr. Van Blargen! I saw him for the first time when I was seven years old to get a baby tooth pulled. I remember him saying to me, «Are you sure this is your first time at the dentist? Because you’re doing very well!» As a seven year old, that made me feel pretty awesome :) When the procedure was finished, my mom asked me if it hurt when he gave me the anesthesia shot and I didn’t even remember getting one, that’s how much it did not hurt!
Now, my family never had much money, so that was the one and only time I went to a dentist until I was 19 years old. At that time, I chose a different guy, who I went to for two or three years, but at that office I never felt like they remembered me, as if I was a new patient every six months when I went to get my teeth cleaned. No bueno. So I decided to stop going there and decided to look up Dr. Van Blargen, who had since moved to another location. They didn’t remember me, of course (it had been about 15 years!), but my patient ID number was still in the system, and I’ve been going there ever since.
His wife, Jenny, is the receptionist sometimes, and both he and she always ask how I’m doing, how work is, etc. I always feel welcome when I’m there, and I never have to wait very long in the waiting room before I’m called for my appointment. One hygienist, Jessica I believe her name is, seems the most thorough to me, but all of the hygienists are always very friendly and make me feel comfortable. I have referred three family members to him and they all really like him as well.

What a difference a year makes. New staff, male hygienist not as thoughough, doesn’t check gum health.

I love Dr. Van Blargen. He has been our family dentist for about 15 years now, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. He is thorough, reasonable, and a perfectionist. I really appreciate the personal attention he gives us. Highly recommended!
