The Dapper Dog

They take wonderful care grooming my dog. He always looks so handsome after his hair cut. Murphy is a dapper dog.

Always love this place — Gina comes out more beautiful than she usually is! Question tho is where’s David? Gina loves seeing him as do I!

LOVE this place! I brought my dog in for the first time yesterday to have her nails trimmed. I didn’t have an appointment but they got us right in. The owner, Nancy was very sweet and the young girl that took her back was SUPER great! She treated my old dog with such love and kindness that I won’t go anywhere else ever again. Thanks ladies!!!

An update to my original post… The owner immediately called me after I wrote my initial review and apologized for what happened and agreed that Jitsu was butchered. She offered me a free groom with her down the road if I wanted. Today I brought Jitsu in as his hair was finally long enough to trim again. It had grown out very uneven and so I knew they were going to have to clean it up… I am overall very happy with his cut this time and I know they spent a lot of time making sure everything was perfect. He is a little shorter than I was hoping for but they explained he needed to be evened out so I understand… I am glad the owner went out of her way to make me, the customer happy!

Nothing but great things to say. These ladies knew exactly how to care for a Pyr. Grooming was perfect. They were so nice and they loved on my dog as if he were one of their own. They set all of my fears at ease. And most importantly, my dog loved his experience there. I will only take my boy to these ladies in the future.

We took our puppy to The Dapper Dog because we follow our favorite groomer, Jessica. She has been our groomer for three years. Our four year old puppy, Snuggels, absolutely loves her. When you first step inside the store you’ll notice the store is clean, which to me is very important. You will also see cute doggy outfits, fun doggy toys and other adorable accessories. I met three others who were working there and they were very friendly.
Ok. I just read the other reviews and I happy to report things must be on the up and up. This was just our first time. We did feel very welcome by the four different people we saw working there. I pray this place works out for Jessica, our groomer we met three years ago. She goes the extra mile. Our puppy is very spoiled. We love her and we feel like Jessica does too. Snuggles doesn’t like the dryer so Jessica gives her time to air dry. She grooms her to our specifications, she’s friendly with a kind heart.

I have some positive things and one negative thing to say about this business. I’ll share the negative first because I’m a Unilocaler and like when people cut to the chase.
Negative — When I brought my dog in for her first grooming with them, a groomer came out to the front and mentioned that my dog was very matted (which she was, she’s a schnauzer with a skirt, it happens). An extra fee for matting was not discussed. I dropped her off and left. When I received a call that my dog was finished, I was told that the cost was $ 15 more than originally quoted. Though the original quote was given over the phone, there was no attempt made, before I left or before they groomed her, to explain the fee so that I could decide if the fee was worth paying or if I’d rather pick her up. When I picked her up, they had only added a $ 10 fee. I paid it without complaint, but have decided to Unilocal and take my business elsewhere.
Positives — The receptionist was very friendly. They were very sweet to my dog. She smelled great and the groomer cut her well.

They did SUCH a fantastic job! We’ve been looking for a good place to take Nala since we moved here 2 years ago and no other places were quite cuttin it. But no it looks like we’ve FINALLY found our place! Definitely going to make this our go-​to groomer.

I’m so incredibly thankful and in awe with how they made my Josie so comfortable as soon as we walked in. We had previously dyed our dog on the request of my daughter of course I’m not a professional so she was extremely patchy with the dye she was in need of a good cut. As I went on my search for a good groomer in my Area I came across Dapper Dog and like all businesses they has some bad reviews but the GOOD out weighed the the bad and I called in I was greeted with such a smile they were so friendly and welcoming and they asked «what would you like» and my response was «surprise me» with that said if I could give them 10 stars I would! My daughter and I couldn’t stop smiling!

Dapper dog works wonders. They handled my temperamental 16yr old shih tzu with such care and patience. We’ve gone to to handful of groomers in the area and have been turned away from a few because he’s too difficult. He hasn’t had a good grooming experience ever, until we came to dapper dog. I’m so amazed at the awesome work they do. My dog leaves looking great every time, which I know is difficult since he can’t stand for more than 10 mins at a time with his hip problems. They are so patient and gentle with him, and totally accommodating to make him feel safe and comfortable. David and everyone at the dapper dog are wonderful, they know what they’re doing and really know how to treat their clients.

I needed my dog to get groomed and most places takes appt so I saw this place and wanted to try it out. Only because they had an opening. I’ve Gone to the groomers many many times and I’ve never had my dog stay more than 3 hrs.
Well they told me my dog would be ready by 2 or 3. I had to leave work n rushed over around 4 and still my dog is not ready. They told me another half hr, I come back and I had to wait another 15 min.
If leaving your dog there for 6 hrs no thank you!
What’s the point of them setting appt if the dog stays there for so long. My dog was so thirsty and hungry when she got home.
I will never ever take her here ever again! They didn’t even apologize for how long they said it was going to take. If the service is gonna be done when they’re done they shouldn’t have given me a time frame.

Love it here!!! I used to take my dog to Petsmart and she would start shaking like crazy as soon as we walked in. My dog loves it here as well. They are all so great with her, talk to her and make sure she’s comfortable before they take her away. The service is wonderful and all the employees are welcoming and friendly.

Rude. So so very rude. No greeting when i walk in. The old guy that’s on the computer doesn’t say anything. I say hi. He looks up and curtly says hi. What do you need? I ask if I wash her or if they do because it says self wash on the outside. And very rudely he asks «well which is it? Do you want to wash her or us?» I’m confused and off put and answer that I want them to. And he says very rudely «oh she’ll be here for hours!» I say nevermind then. And he points to a list as if I was supposed to know and says «This is a list of dogs all ahead of her» I have manners so I said «no thanks it’s cool,» but seriously! How rude! I may look like a teenager but I’m a 22 year old adult who was looking for my sick chihuahua to be spoiled a little. Just fuck this place! I can pamper her at home! They obviously don’t care about dogs or good customer service! I would give no stars if I could!!!

The owner got back to me immediately and apologized! I’m sure they do a great job and she was really nice and prided herself in customer service and making sure all her guests were pleased. However since I didn’t receive her services I can’t review on them and I can’t excuse that mans behavior and attitude towards me. The other reviews seem great so you can base yourself on that. And I sincerely hope no one ever has to feel as if they are a nuisance like I did. It was a busy Saturday but I work in the Hospitality business so I get that you can get stressed but no matter how weeded you are the guest should be provided a service with a smile. While I was fuming with a depressed dog in my car typing this I admit my review ended being crude but for authenticity reasons I won’t edit it. If I was in the area I would give this place a try but I would ask to be served by someone else!

LOVE this place! The staff is amazing! They really take their time with my Bailey and Charlie and really care about them. Bailey has chronic ear infections and hot spots and they recommended this spray called Cure a Pet… hoping to save me a costly vet bill. Guess what? it totally worked! Literally within 2 days the ear infection was GONE and the hot spot is drying up and almost gone as well and it’s only been 4 days. I can’t thank them enough :)

Took my Maltese to Dapper Dog and was pretty satisfied with the service I received. They are very professional and David is very nice.

The Dapper Dog was top notch! Took my Australian Shepherd there today for a bath and haircut and they did a fabulous job. Great prices, friendly-​sweet staff, great service. I will definitely be going back!

My GSD loves the staff! And he loved the cute little (FREE!) bandana they put on him when they finished grooming his coat, leaving him looking handsome and clean :)

Where I begin… I have two pitbulls and two Yorkies. Never once has any of the staff treated my pitbulls in a negative manner. All the staff is warm and friendly. My dogs smell good and are so happy when I pick them up. Honestly it is hard to find a groomer where the dogs are happy when you drop them off and when you pick them up. If you are looking for a place you can trust and takes time with you pet please come to Dapper Dog.

Wanted to give a update on my review. A lot has changed at this business. David the manager that everyone loved is no longer there. I’ve been taking my tropper there for about 2 years now and I can say he will never be back. I also recommend my brother and his 3 dogs and he will not be back. Along with friends and other family members. I don’t think this shop will last very long. But who knows I wish nothing but the best. But just wanted to give a update to my review as alot of my friends and family fallow me here. Thanks
