I have been meaning to write a review for quite some time. This place has the best tacos in the entire Ventura/​Oxnard area and beats out plenty of tacos I’ve had in Los Angeles too. We tried this place out before our wedding last October and we were pleasantly surprised. The owner, Juvenal, was willing to cater our wedding in Camarillo and it went marvelously! Everyone loved the food and they were fast in setting up and serving. It was casual and fun and delicious. Most weddings have the worst food and I wasn’t planning on having one of those stuffy catered shitty food weddings. I’m SO happy I chose Sabor and was able to plan the menu with Juvenal. It couldn’t have gone better! I highly recommend their food and restaurant and if you’re looking for a taco truck for an event, skip it and go with these guys. You won’t be sorry!

The chicken enchilada verde was excellent!
Service is friendly. You order at the counter and there is a yummy salsa bar.

Went to Santa Barbara with my BF for a short vacation, we stopped by this restaurant to try fish tacos. And I was amazed about their fish tacos. No word can describe their fish tacos, only thumb up. Will return for sure

It was good, had talapia fish tacos, I am used to creama on my fish tacos they don’t do that, also wanted hotter salsa, nice inside clean nice decorations, will give it another try another day,

We came for lunch and it’s was very good. I will be back and the gentleman in the front was very nice and I feel cause of him too the customers come back. Very pleasant Ora.

Best Mexican food! Their tacos, ceviche, tortas, and fish tacos are THE BEST, HANDS DOWN! I’ve even hired them for parties and they do an amazing job! Authentic food! Highly recommend.

I ordered the asada, pastor and bacon shrimp tacos.
The steak taco was very good flavor, pastor was okay. But the real star is there bacon shrimp taco.
They offer free chips and salsa. The chips are mediocre. They have a hot red sauce, chipotle, tomato & onion, tomatillo salsas are all mild. Not too much flavor in the salsas.
I’ll be back to try their fish tacos.

The interior has a nice pueblo feel to it. It provides a Spanish and Mexican vibe to the place. I enjoyed the music and décor. The seats and tables had interesting sun, flowers and colors to them. The free chips, salsa, and other sides were a pleasant treat.
The fish taco was delicious! The fried crisp skin and the juicy flaky interior went well with the lettuce, tomatoes, and light green sauce. Plus, the lemon provided that nice acidity that goes well with seafood. The salmon taco was absolutely delicious with how it was cooked and the seasoning on it. It went wonderfully well in a taco form. The shrimp taco was also good, but I liked the fish and salmon taco the most.
The food I had was tasty and I wish I was able to come back to try more of their food. Until next time Sabor.

GOBERNADOR! nice little place for some Mexican food. The GOBERNADOR is like a shrimp quesadilla of some sorts its delicious. I usually throw one on the side when I get the asada burrito. In my opinion they have the best carne asada in town. Thanks guys!

I had the Chivo birria and it was really amazing. It was like tasting a piece of heaven. They have homemade tortillas with textures fully supporting the homemade claim.
The horchata was amongst the best I have had.

One of the best places in Oxnard! My girlfriend and I have been coming here a lot since we had tried this place out a few months ago. Must try the fish tacos and the shrimp tacos! And of course the micheladas.

Amazing food and a nice Mexican ambiance. The atmosphere is relaxed, food is served in a timely manner, staff is very friendly.

This place has the best fish tacos!
They are crispy and light.
The portion of fish they give you is generous.
The green creamy sauce they serve on top is delicious.
The restaurant inside is clean but kind of in a shady neighborhood.
They have a nice salsa and roasted jalapeño bar that is complimentary.
The prices are very reasonable.
There is parking along the side of the restaurant on the alley that runs along the side of the restaurant.

If you like spicy foods, here is The place, and for photographers it’s really charming!

Great fish tacos and portions! First time here and was told by a friend to check it out and glad I did. Highly recommended!

No wonder this place has great reviews! Fish tacos were amazing. As were the pastor and lengua. The lengua was a little on the greasy side but tasty nonetheless.
Fish tacos were big, hearty portions and pickled cabbage with great tangy sauce.
Free chips and salsa bar. Good stuff all around.

The place is a hole in the wall but is a step up from plastic booths you normally see in hole in the wall restaurants around here.
I only had their asada, pollo and fish tacos but I was really impressed by their quality. I found the fish taco really good tasting but a little unwieldy and messy but the pollo and asada tacos were excellent.

What a great meal — such an authentic place and absolutely delicious fish tacos. The bonus chips and salsa bar outstanding also. A must stop if you are in Oxnard — we will be here again next time we are here — and can’t wait!

Really enjoyed this authentic Mexican restaurant. I was driving through on vacation with the family, and we were hungry. It seemed Mexican food was the way to go, so we chose this place based on good reviews on Unilocal.We all very much enjoyed our meal! My mom and I shared the 2-​person grilled plate with meat and peppers and onion. It was so much food! They have a salsa bar that was really good too, including several different salsas and some grilled peppers and onions.
The service was fast and friendly!
Would definitely recommend!
