Fresh food, and very good service. Place is brand new inside, and we were pleasantly surprised. Sushi and the Thai curry shrimp was incredible. Will definitely be back.

Very good food. Good service. Remodeled space is well-done. Landscaping of the outside is in progress, and promises to be well-done, also. We ate from the lunch menu, and were pleased with our food and service.

We’ve been meaning to check this place out for a while. What a shame we waited so long after it opened! The owners have obviously put a lot of time, money, and effort into making this restaurant something great. They are even in the process of landscaping the parking lot. The staff are kind and so attentive it borders on too much. This is particularly because the restaurant was so quiet when we went… It deserves to be packed! Our server met every need we had with speed and grace. It’s tastefully decorated, peaceful, and relaxing. Now what really matters– the food! We were so pleased to be served with some complimentary fried crab stick nibbles while we waited, and felt so spoiled. They were delicious. I ordered two sushi rolls and my companion(not a sushi eater) chose chicken and broccoli, standard Chinese restaurant fare. His came out perfectly cooked with no surprises, except for the great presentation. My rolls were AMAZING. Truly some of the best sushi I have EVER had. I LOVE that they have a menu section specifically for«No Rice» sushi. What a wonderful idea, and reasonably priced for NO filler. I got a sashimi roll from that section, and true to the description it was loaded with piles of fresh fish. Amazing. I also got the three musketeers and this also was packed with fish and decorated with beautiful multicolored roe. I could hardly finish my food I was so stuffed, but powered through and finished every bite. Happy sushi face! Both our plates were garnished with a real, fresh orchid. How wonderful is that? We will be back… Soon.

The food is always oh so fresh and literally just freakin delicious. It’s never crowded here and I want it to be so bad! They deserve to be on the map as one of the best. The food is good but most of all the service is even better. The bathroom is clean and that’s important. Give them a try… I think you’ll be a repeat offender.

Not that it was rotten or anything, but sushi didn’t have that fresh flavorful taste. Orange chicken was basically sweet and sour(same batter) chicken with some orange peel. Even had the green pepper and pineapple in it. Pad tai was just OK. All-in-all, on par with mall food-court food.

What a wonderful experience! From the overly nice staff to the abundant sushi menu I have no complaints. We were greeted at the door by a lovely lady who took us right to a table and even assisted getting our child into a booster seat. Oh I forgot to mention the aroma inside the restaurant is very intoxicating! Within 2 minutes we had a waitress taking our order. We order a few rolls of sushi and some General Tso’s chicken. The sushi was great tasting and very eye pleasing as well, some of the best I’ve ever had. Even the General Tso’s chicken was all white meat with a great balance of spices. We never had to ask for a refill of our drinks, as soon as it got low someone came right away and refilled them. We will definitely visit this restaurant again and again!

Really good food. I love their hibachi grill lunch and dinner specials. Service was outstanding. The phở is very good too. Sushi is tasty. Check this place out. Nice atmosphere to hang out with friend and family. We will be back.

I came here based on the other Unilocal reviews and have to say I am not in agreement. The service was friendly and helpful, however, the food was unappealing. The shrimp tempura roll was good. The rest of the food though was ehhhh. I was brought out the wrong food and then the proper meal with something called«Chicken»…this«chicken» didn’t taste or resemble anything like I have ever had. It was super squishy and Tofu-Esque. Much better choices in the area and I won’t be returning.

Went here on the opening week, it was amazing! Me and my parents received 2 appetizers for free as ones of the first customers! The price for 2 soups seaweed salad and 4 different kinds of sushi rols came to being around $ 80, which was absolutely worth every penny!

Very nice place. Great atmosphere and great service. The people are always so nice and appreciate the business. They are very genuine and normally provide a free sample of an appetizer and free ice cream at the end of the meal. There is not much else offered for entrees other than sushi. I have tried some of the other items and they really aren’t good. I wish they offered more choices for those who do not like sushi. The sushi is all pretty good, but it all is very dry and needs more sauce. Additionally, the volcano roll is served cold which is not normally how I have seem them before.

To have this gem so close to home is troooouble… Everything was so so fresh! The sushi… omergawd. Delish! Before I get into the goodness of our meal, the restaurant is on Reisterstown Rd a little after the Enterprise Car Rental and a block before the Target by Dolfield, if you’re heading to Owings Mills. There is parking in the back. Upon entry, you walk into a crisp and cleanly laid out space. Tables and booths and a sushi bar where you can grab a seat also. The staff was friendly and attentive and sat us immediately. We ordered water and appetizers in less than 5 mins. Awesome. The dumpling soup was yummy. The seaweed salad was also very good. We then ordered some rolls and entrées. I had the mango avocado roll and the Maryland roll without roe. Hubby had an angel roll and something else exotic, lol. We also ordered chicken pad Thai. Everything was amazingggggggg. It met every expectation. And we will be back to try more items. Upon receiving the check we were also given a scoop of ice cream. Soooooo yum and a good way to win my heart. Ice cream. Also another way to win my heart, a clean bathroom. Go get you some.

This place is new. Came here on a Friday night at 7:30. Primarily a sushi place. Service was friendly and fast. Good sushi selection. The seats in the booth could be better. I ordered the California roll, spicy tuna roll and Volcano roll. They started off with a free appetizer — crabmeat tempura. Prices seem fair across the board with all other sushi places.

It was a dark & stormy night! Literally, it was a mess. The area was under a tornado watch and the rain was coming down in sheets. But we had made plans to try out the new Sushi place in the neighborhood(In the old Owings Mills New Towne Diner location). The large parking lot looked like a river as the water came down and we splashed through a couple of puddles to make our way into the restaurant. The space looked familiar, the bar was still there, the booths and tables in the same place. It was all new. The Sushi bar(where once the diner counter stood) is dark with nice LED lighting underneath and the booths and tables were all dark stained wood and dark upholstery. It was a nasty evening, there was only one other table occupied when we arrived.(A few more showed up as we ate.) The wait staff was extremely attentive and solicitous and I appreciated the wide selection of special Makis they offered. Our Appetizers were very yummy and the free app they gave us was a nice surprise. It was delicious and something I probably never would have ordered! The Sushi had a very nice fresh quality. The rice-less Orange Bloom maki was quite wonderful. All of the fish we tried had a nice flavor, texture and seemed very fresh. We also tried the Sea Urchin(Uni) which can really be hit or miss even in the best restaurants, but the Uni had a delightful creamy taste and texture. Oh – and the Sushi boat they served us our Sushi on(yes we ordered a lot), had an color changing LED light buried under some of the garnishes for a cool effect! I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice an experience I had at Watami and look forward to going there again.

New Asian fusion place with a nice atmosphere. Servers were very nice and brought free appetizers n free desserts. Ok variety of sushi, Chinese food, Japanese food. Lo Mein was really good. It was moist n tasty. The Pad Thai was ok. The noodles were short and felt like I got scraps of leftover noodles.disappointing. The Tum Yum soup wasn’t as tasty. Go elsewhere for Thai food. The shrimp n vegetable tempura was pretty good. The General Tsao’s chicken was ok. The chicken was moist n tender. The sauce was ok, not too sweet. The salmon sushi tasted pretty fresh. The spicy tuna was ok. Spicy advocado lump crab was ok.

After a disappointing first visit, I returned tonight after Watami Asian Bistro reached out to address my issue. I ordered the Sushi and Sashimi combination with a Lover Roll. It came with salad or soup. I chose the Miso soup which was delicious. The sushi and sashimi was PERFECT!!! Fresh and tasted great. The presentation and service was excellent. The Lover Roll was also delicious. I am looking forward to returning.

I finally made it here. The place has been redone a bit inside. It was not busy on a Thursday night. Very quiet inside with a large tv at the sushi bar. It is BYOB but they would do well to get a liquor license. Service is excellent. There were 2 waitresses and they were literally super attentive and were bearing gifts for my 2 yr. old niece. The menu is sushi heavy but wide ranging. Many different options and influences. I noticed Japanese, Chinese and Thai inspired dishes. I had crabmeat wonton and shrimp teriyaki and banana tempura. Everything was so good that I only snapped a picture of the appetizer. Will do better next time.

Pretty good Japanese food with large portions. It is nice to have another lunch option nearby. I enjoyed that carryout came with a free sushi appetizer. My coworkers liked their lomein and shrimp bento box. The crab rangoon was a bit too sweet for my taste, however it was crispy and had ample filling. Looking forward to trying Watami again

I wasn’t expecting much due to the location, but I was pleasantly pleased. Clean and inviting atmosphere; friendly staff; great food! We didn’t try the sushi this visit(their menu is decent) but we did get order hibachi chicken and shrimp. Very good and large helpings. A kind hostess held my 3 year old’s hand and walked her to our table. That was very sweet! She handed her a lollipop on our way out! We received complementary appetizer and dessert(ice cream) which is always a plus. We will definitely return soon to try their sushi! Glad to have another restaurant option in reisterstown/Owings mills!
