Just called to get pricing and see if I could make an appointment for an oil change. The guy on the phone seemed very inconvenienced by me asking those two questions. When I asked if I could get a ballpark price on a diesel oil change he said «well do you know what kind and how much it takes?» I said I am not sure but I can provide you with the vehicle type and model info, and he leaves out an exaggerated sigh as if I was exhausting him. I am sure I can find someone else willing to do a $ 100 oil change and not be mad about me wanting to buy new windshield wipers as well. Without telling me «well I don’t even know if our standard ones will fit your car, I may have to order special ones.» God forbid you make a phone call. My sincere apologies for trying to be a customer, I assure you it will not happen again.

These guys were professional, curious and new what the were doing. They were fast while explaining things to me as well. I’d highly recommend this location! We were there 20 minutes tops!

This location is close to my home and I stopped in there to get an oil change last month. They were done in less than 15 minutes and Mike was very friendly.
Then last week I was driving to hen house, which sort of shares a parking lot, and I got a flat tire. I walked over there and they were ridiculously nice. They found the hole in my tire and put on my spare, without accepting any payment from me. Every single person there is friendly and polite.
The waiting room may not be the biggest or the fanciest but its clean and there’s a McDonalds 20 feet away where you can grab a coffee for 10 minutes. I’ll definitely continue to visit this location.

This location kindly checked to see if my filter and other accessories were tightened adequately, because my usual dealer had given me an oil change and there was a puddle on my driveway. They quickly checked, confirmed the problem and fixed it. I was done in less than 5 minutes. Thanks!

This location is much different than the one we used to go to near 135^th and Nieman.
The waiting room is absolutely tiny and very dirty, with no place for your kids to wait and/​or play. Think «dirty garage» not clean, quick, professional car service place.
Additionally, on our visit, they did NOT return the remaining customer-​supplied Mobil 1 oil I always bring for them to use, AND I was charged significantly more than the last 9 times we got our oil changed at other valvolines in Overland Park. RIP-​OFF!
Lastly, the whole point of going to a quick-​serve oil change place is to get in and out quickly. With no waiting at all, it still took 34 minutes from the time I pulled into the bay, to the time my car was ready. This is about twice as long as the other location.
AVOID this particular location and consider going to other locations in JOCO.

Alfred, the manager, and his people did a great job. Changed my oil, transmission fluid, and fuel filter. Price was fair, quality of products was good, and service was excellent. They were thorough and very time efficient. It was a real eye-​opener when they showed me the gunk that was in my old fuel filter. Alfred explained how they did the trans fluid change, making sure all the old stuff was gone and all the new stuff is in. Thanks to them, I don’t have the «groaning» sound I used to have when my transmission shifted gears. I am planning on taking my wife’s car there to get the transmission fluid changed along with a new fuel filter. I was pleased with the service and I recommend this store.

Stopped by for replacement wiper blades and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Employees were all really friendly, they topped off my wiper fluid for free and didn’t pressure me for additional services (which is common at places like this). Great experience.

Not the greatest experience.
I had to drop in three times before they had the oil filter that fit my car (Ford).
As they were trying to up sell me on all of the other perceived things wrong with my vehicle, I watched their «tire guy» go around my vehicle and top off my tires’ (with green valve stem caps in plain view) with plain air. Green valve stem caps indicate a tire filled with nitrogen.
If there were a more convenient oil change location, I would switch.

I went to this Valvoline while in Kansas City on a trip and needed to get the oil changed in my Jeep.
There were able to get me in and out in less than 15 minutes, however there were a few problems.
1) They forgot to reset the «change oil light» on my dash. When I asked, it took them 15 minutes to figure it out,
2) I paid for the semi synthetic oil with a premium filter, explaining to the Valvoline tech that I have a Jeep with the filter towards the top of the engine block, I need a quality oil filter than comes equipped with a «anti-​drain back» valve. Otherwise, all of the oil drains out of the filter, which means no oil to the engine for the first 1 – 2 seconds after start up.
I started to notice a knocking noise when I started up the vehicle and my «low oil» light would stay on for 1 – 2 seconds. I pulled the filter off to discover that it was a cheap, Valvoline stock filter with NO anti-​drain back valve. This could have ruined my engine and caused unrepairable damage if I had caught it any later.
I am not impressed. It’s one thing if the consumer doesn’t know what to ask for, but in this case I did. This will be the last time I use Valvoline.

This place is close to my work, I needed an oil change and had a coupon.
They have decent magazines to read in the tiny waiting area. They finished in a timely manner. I don’t think the prices were too over the top. Especially since I had a coupon.
If I need another oil change during work hours I will go back.
