I am a frequenter of the Other Place, which is connected to «The Red Room» and owned by the same guy. It’s really nice because both bars seem to attract the same crowd for two different reasons. The OP has awesome Pizza and is a great sports bar. You can watch a game in the RR too, but if it’s game 7, it’s OP. However, if you want to chill after work and have a few good craft brews, you can hop over to the red room side. The theme is a fun and funky 70’s/80’s deal and the bartenders are awesome… also not hard to look at! The best part for me, is if I get bored at one and feel like going to a different bar, no big deal, i close out my tab, and I don’t even have to go outside to do that. AND if I want great food, they serve the OP’s food at the red room too! In all reality, this is my «cheers»… this is where people know me, and it’s my home base. Love the people there and wouldn’t trade either one of those joints for anywhere else.

Easily my new favorite bar close to home. Great ambience and nice selection of beers on tap. Right next to The Other Side in old Overland Park.
