The $ 6.50 salad, slice, and drink special was a good deal. The salad had plenty of cheese and fresh ingredients, the pizza slice was nicely-sized, with plenty of tasty toppings, and a chewy thin crust, while the drink was large. The service was fast, but all business, and the food court was busy, but clean.

This truly Italian pizza shop is where I stop for lunch every time I go to Oak Park Mall. The owner is an older Italian man who often makes the pizzas himself. They make the pizzas fresh and heat them up once you order a slice. The crust is thin but still chewy, and it reminds me of the pizza you can get at street vendors in New York City. The slices are good sized and they start at $ 3. They also serve salads, pop, and they have a gluten free pizza(which I’ve never tried) for people who can’t eat the regular dough. You can order by the slice to eat in the mall, or you can order a whole pizza to carry out. You might have to wait in a long line on busy shopping days, but the service is quick, and everybody there is friendly. It is loud and there are kids running around all over the place, but it is a mall food court. If you don’t want to eat there, you can have your pizza put in a box to go.

Ok so I think maybe they read my review and identified me, because the service has done a 180 to where I am now being called«hon.» LOVEIT and love the delicious pizza! Also, to Jason B., if the person making your pizza does not have an extremely violent temper, you are not at a real pizza place. In addition, I think you need to possibly watch a Tarantino or John Waters movie ASAP.

While in line the guy making pizzas(not selling slices) was not happy with his younger co worker. He decided to yell, literally, the name of a religious figure and add a curse word as an improvised middle name. He then punched the pizza dough he was working on in a child-like fashion. My two year old was one of three kids in line. That’s our last stop here.

This pizza is great! Its better than any of the other places I’ve had in Kansas. The place is basic and not so pretty and there are alot of people during lunch hour. However, the pizza is worth it, they tend to you quickly so you dont wait very long, the place and tables clear out quick and its clean. Overall great.

I’ve been eating at this pizza joint since elementary school. It is the best NY Style in town. It is far from my house, but always worth the trip.

Ah, my beloved Original Pizza. It’s been in Oak Park Mall as long as I can remember and I have fond memories of eating here while cruising the mall in my teen years back in the mid-80s. Of course, there was no food court back then, but now I’m feeling old so let’s move on, shall we? Original Pizza, in my humble opinion, is the closest thing to true New York style pizza in the metro Kansas City area. The slices aren’t as big as I’d like, but everything else is perfect. Grease? Check. Surly, Italian counter guys? Check. The ability to ask for«a slice» and they know what you want? Check. The crust is perfectly thin and slightly chewy. The sauce is the right amount of sweetness and the greasy cheese drips off the sides unless you fold it in half. There’s even residual black oven goo on the bottom of the slices from being reheated. YES! For three decades, their pizza has been as consistent and reliably awesome as the Chiefs have been at NOT making it to the Super Bowl. I can walk up, order a slice and know that it’ll taste the same way it did when I was 15 and trying to get the boy mall cruisers to notice me. Never change, Original Pizza!

You know, how can you complain about pizza you get for nothing in a a food court? You really can’t. You know what you are going in to. It’s like beating your head against a wall and complaining about the pain. why the hell did you do it in the first place? Personally, I rather skip a meal then eat cold pizza off a dirty table surrounded by screeching tweens ever again. My excuse is that I was in a hurry, but honestly, this was more punishing then going hungry.

This to me is like being on vacation eating a slice that you fold in half. Its a great place to call in and get carry out or order a pizza while you are shopping. Everyone who works there has an attitude like a new yorker and no smile either, but I like it that way No Frills. This place is better than D’Bronx and I love the College location as well esp. for lunch.
