Hertz Rent A Car

I reserved a car online for a short weekend trip to Nashville for about $ 50. When I went to pick up the car I found out I would be paying all kinds of extra expenses. Since I used my card to pay online I was automatically the driver. I didn’t want to be the driver so I had to pay $ 13 per day to add a driver. The only other option would have been to call some number and change the reservation to pay differently. They couldn’t do that at the counter for some reason. After everything extra I ended up paying an extra $ 170 on top of the original $ 50. Very unexpected for a weekend trip.

Very disappointed. I rented a compact car to drive to Texas. On the website it states that the cars in that class will have a mpg of 38mpg or better. The car we received only averaged 26mpg. I only drove highway miles and had to stop for gas every 200 miles on the tiny 11 gallon tank. I called the first day with the car and they told me I could exchange it at another Hertz in TX. Unfortunately, the only location in TX that might have had a car for me was an hour away. I turned the car back in with the complaint of the horrible gas mileage and was offered $ 10. I’m sure it was because I was a single woman that rents once a year and if I was one of the business men that they were ass kissing while I was waiting that they would have bent over backward. I will never rent from Hertz again and I will be contacting Corporate about the poor customer service that i received.

I normally rent from Budget because I’ve been a long-​term customer there and probably still will be — but I couldn’t get a good rate for nearly a month-​long rental from anyone except Priceline — who delivered Hertz. Class experience — got in and out quickly, and have been really happy with the car. Good location for those who don’t need an airport rental.

We had a good experience at this location. They have better hours than some of the other options (open Sunday). The employee we dealt with was professional, and friendly. We did not have any wait with our transaction, and will likely rent from this location in the future.
Location is clean, and in a safe, suburban area, with a big parking lot if you have someone dropping you off, or waiting with you in another car. It is near many hotels along Metcalf Ave, and not too far from the highway (I-​435).

These guys always do there best to accomodate me, even when I make a reservation that day. I like the location and the hours are so much better than traveling to the airport. Plus the taxes are so much better on a rental when you stay away from the airport.
