HD Fence

These guys were great. So responsive and they do such great work, even in difficult situations.
Our project was not simple. Our back yard is not very large but it is plagued with lots of buried cables, utilities, etc. Additionally, we also have an in-​ground sprinkler system. As it turns out, so does our neighbor immediately behind us. And, as luck would have it, HIS sprinkler system actually crosses the property line over into OUR yard. The poor guy is over eighty years old and had surgery two weeks ago so there was nothing he could do about it (he wasn’t even aware of it until we showed him the survey) and there was no way I was going to move it. Between not being able to fence in his sprinkler, not dig holes in our sprinkler and not dig holes over the buried utilities, Tom and his crew had their work cut out for them.
The options were: 1: Put in a fence that respected the property lines, sprinkler systems and utilities but would never in a million years be straight (unacceptable); 2) Wait until my elderly neighbor died, sold his house and we told the purchasers to move their sprinkler system (too ghoulish and we also have dogs that need a place to run around; 3) Give up over three feet of back yard to move the fence in so that all of the problems would be avoided (unacceptable obviously); or 3) Let Tom and HD Fence figure a workaound.
Of course option three is what we chose and it couldn’t have worked out better. Tom figured out a way to shim at the posts that had to be moved inward for one reason or another. The result is that even though the posts aren’t (and can’t, not because of Tom, just because they can’t) be in a straight line, the fence itself absolutely runs in a straight line.
This is fantastic work, done fast and for a great price. Tom showed up when he said he would, did what he told me he would and was completed when he promised me he would be. You can trust these guys and I recommend them without hesitation.

I picked up a card for HD Fence at a local business and asked the cashier/​owner if he knew the company. «Oh yeah,» he said. «Tom’s a young guy starting out. He does a real good job and lives in the neighborhood.»
I tucked the card in my card holder thing in my purse and forgot about it. A couple of weeks later, my boyfriend gave me a gift…a new patio fence! And he suggested HD Fence, as he had «done some research» and found good reviews. Since none are on Unilocal,I don’t know where he checked out his info as he lives in KCMO, but I figured it was a sign. A sign to use HD Fence.
I called the number and received a call back within minutes. Good. That indicates they care and want my business. The next evening, Tom came out and gave me a bid. It was about what I expected. I signed a contract and gave a deposit about the size of what materials would cost. Fair enough.
It looks like a lot of pictures have been posted of his work, and they look pretty much as beautiful as my new patio fence. What I really, really like in addition is the work ethic. They were here on time, every time. They were meticulous with clean-​up. They finished everything as promised, including quality and time. I was under a deadline situation due to vacation plans, and everything was done exactly as ordered.
To be honest, I am not a nice single lady to deal with when looking for someone to do work for me, as I have been screwed over big time by handymen and contractors. But Tom was local (actually lives near me!), personable, and sincere. I felt comfortable with the entire process and wholeheartedly recommend him for your fence needs. I will call him again when I can afford to have my entire yard fenced.
