Found this place with a quick Google search and decided to try my luck. In town for work and wanted to find a good soccer pub… found exactly what I was looking for. The Womens World Cup was on as well as Copa America, plenty of TVs to watch either. The bar food was excellent, with cleverly named food items. The bartender was spot on with his local beer recommendations and the pizza was HUGE! YOU O LYNEEDONESLICE! I didn’t believe how big the slice was, literally as big as the menu… and it was pretty good. Anyway, the whole experience was great and I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in town.

I love watching Sporting Kansas City and World Cup matches here. It can get quite crowded so get there early if there’s a big game on. Great soccer-related décor and a perfect place for veteran or beginning soccer fans. Their food is pretty good too. I always get hummus and waffle fries.

Well I’d love to give a review o. The food and beverages however I sat there for 15 minutes without being served. The bartender even made eye contact with me, then walked away. I’m staying at one of the hotels next door, I’ll be here for at least 6 months, would have been nice to have a place around the corner… With service like that I give this place a couple more months…

The service has really improved since we started coming here a few months ago. The bartenders and wait staff are much more attentive. Their happy hour specials are AMAZING(1.95 for a pint of ANYTHING on tap, ½ price apps). Their beer selection is excellent. Their food is consistently well-prepared with quality ingredients. Top shelf bar food. I love their waffle fry nachos. Mmmm. Sunday brunch is pretty killer too. Satiates my craving for a gravyful breakfast pizza(take note that in this instance, ham trumps bacon). Do yourself a favor and come on in!

I really want to love this place. My Man Utd shirt is hung up in the tap room because I want the bar to succeed. I really hope the management get their act together sooner rather than later because if they don’t, the place won’t last. My latest visit was to watch the Liverpool vs. Manchester United game, it should have opened at 7:30am, that is what is stated on the door; at 8:05am the door was unlocked by a disheveled lady who was in a tizzy because the systems were down… Yeah that sucks and I felt sorry for her situation. Sat down at the bar with a friend and within 10 minutes we were asked if we wanted anything; both of us ordered a coffee and at that time we were given a menu. When we received the coffee’s they were luke-warm at best. Well, that was it. Whenever the staff walked by there was zero eye contact. I wasn’t asked if I wanted anything(friend wasn’t either) until the second half of the game, not even a drink. We both begrudgingly ordered some breakfast and received it around 25 minutes later, by that time the game had nearly finished. After all is said and done, I did enjoy my burrito, although that may be because I was ready to chew my arm off. In conclusion — I will go there again when there is a good game to watch with people I enjoy watching it with. If I am given good service then I will order something and more than likely enjoy it. If the service is akin to my last visit, I will sit there, enjoy the game and then go home and stop by Firehouse subs on the way. Please get better, the game needs a place like this to succeed and become an establishment that people will visit even if there is not a game on; sadly, that is not the case today.

I’ve been here four times. The last two occasions have been miserable experiences. We waited twenty minutes for someone to come to the table! Another 15 minutes to say they ran out of wings? Way understaffed. Very apologetic but way understaffed. Love the concept and the food is decent but clearly unprepared for customer service. Be prepared to wait.

Where do I start? Always great to be surrounded by soccer, but never by: fruit flys, friends of the teenage staff and 5 – 6 high schoolers sitting at the bar. That just topped off the metal flakes in my beer(that they wouldn’t refund), the overpriced burnt frozen hamburger(supposed to be medium), not being greeted or seated when we came in and menus that had 2 yrs of kid booger build up. Went when they first opened and loved it!!! Seems menu options have also diminished with their standards. So much potential(décor and concept is GREAT), but will probably never be back.

Stopped in on a Sunday evening, the place was dead. Only a handful of people. The waiter was great, kept our drinks filed. I ordered kc burger which was good. Daughter less than impressed with chicken tenders, although disagreed with her and said they were really tasty.(16 yr olds) Husband loved fish and chips Good beer collection. Contemplating coming back for breakfast on boxing day.

Good pub food, great service, and I’ve only encountered friendly staff and managers. Of course this summer I went there 3+ times for world cup games and yes, it was busy and sometimes slow but understandable because of crowds. However, I go about once a month and always get a table and really have found the staff friendly and prompt. Food is consistently good, too. It’s got a great vibe, tons of TVs, and lots of soccer loving patrons. Definitely recommend!

I’d prefer not to give a bad review, but I got sick from the food here. Just stay away from the chicken. The server was good though! Also, I am not a huge soccer fan, but if you are you would like this place.

It’s so nice to have a proper soccer bar in the area(aside from Johnny’s). With Sporting being better and better in the last few years, many bars have TRIED to pretend that they like soccer. Some have succeeded… but half of them still put on the Royals over any soccer other than Sporting. Not here, my friends. Not here. I came for a USMNT friendly, and it was surprisingly quiet. I came at halftime and was able to get a seat at the bar no problem. I hope that’s the exception, not the norm, because I want this place to stay in business. Having people around you who know soccer, when to react, how to react… it’s great. I only had drinks, but the beer and liquor selection is good. Prices are fair. Staff are friendly and attentive. The food menu looks good, but I didn’t get anything this time. Most of the menu items have humorous soccer-related names that made me chuckle.

Not a lunch place. Fish tacos were not very good. Black beans were cold. Rice was good. Was 13 $. The service was poor. My friend had a burger and like 8 fries and is was 16 $. Pretty expensive for bar food. I’m guessing that this is a good drinking bar but not much for a casual business lunch. Might try again to catch a game. Played foosball. That was fun.

When you walk in to Futbol, there is a very distinct«stinch» of something rotten. My party was a little on the large side, and half of us got sick after eating the food. Some of the ones that were sick ate hamburgers, others ate chicken, and others ate the ham and cheese. I can’t suggest any stronger that you stay away from Futbol, especially after talking with the bar tender, as well as the manager. They absolutely do not appreciate good customers, and will not stand behind their products. I will not be back — and I suggest you stay way, too. Bottom line, service /management was horrible, and the food made us sick(on 2 separate occasions). Be ware!

Met up with my kid and his friends for the Copa del Rey finals: El Clasico, Barca v Real Madrid. Aside from the cruddy fact that Barca lost, it was a good visit. I like a quieter, less rowdy crowd, so this mid-week, daytime game was the perfect time for me to visit. They had a Bundesliga, two EPL, and the Copa del Rey games playing on the various TVs throughout the bar. It’s probably the only place in KC where you’ll see an array of fans sporting their teams’ jerseys outside of Soccer Master. I was in heaven… not to mention, the pizza was decent. Consoled by the fact that Everton lost to Crystal Palace, which furthers Arsenal’s chance to qualify for Champions League, I left only moderately disappointed. I can’t wait to go back to join fellow futbol fans in rooting for our favorite teams. SO happy KC has a place like this. Yay!

Another strip mall bar/restaurant with a theme in Overland Park. But this one is almost a welcome addition. As a lot of the reviews state, there are lots of screens for watching your favorite teams play. And the beer selection seems great. The menu is large and the food we had was good, but it was dull and all over the place. And besides Mias Hamm and Cheese, the kitschy names aren’t cute. I was hoping for pub food: bangers and mashed, pasties, currywurst, fish and chips(which they had and did really well although with waffle fries and not chips), maybe a steak frites or moules frites. Maybe in attempting to give a nod to strong soccer countries(some Mexican, some Italian, some middle eastern?, some English), the owners spread themselves thing. Besides a honest to God Greek-owned diner in Jersey(and maybe the Cheesecake Factory), no restaurant should try to put more than two kinds of ethnocentric cuisine on the menu. With that said, it was a fine place. Ignore the wanna be euro-trash kids from OP in their team scarves and you’ll be fine.

My husband and I were looking forward to trying this place out with a recently purchased Groupon, but were really disappointed with our experience. We waited forever for anyone to even acknowledge us and come take our order after we were seated(one of my biggest pet peeves!). Regardless, I was looking forward to a delicious sounding burger with Swiss cheese and caramelized onions, and when it arrived with raw white onions, I pointed out to our server. At this point, the exchange went a little like this: HER: «That’s what’s supposed to be on there.» ME: «I’m pretty sure it said caramelized.» HER: «Are you sure. Because I don’t think so…» Really? She offered to go back to the kitchen to bring me a side of caramelized onions, but ended up leaving me waiting and my burger getting cold just to return(empty handed!) to tell me that I hadn’t read the menu correctly(even though I had double checked the menu that I didn’t have on hand before and knew I was right!) I didn’t feel like making a big deal about it at this point because I was hungry and wanted to eat my food, but it really rubbed me the wrong way, and the burger, which I ordered medium and came out still half alive, turned out to be underwhelming with or without the damn onions. Another thing I decided not to point out since our server already seemed less than amused with us in the first place. The only redeeming factor is the extensive beer list(and the whole soccer theme, for people who are more enthusiastic about that than I am) but I can’t see myself going out of my way to come here even for just a drink.

This place is an Americanized version of what I think an English«soccer pub» would look like. They love soccer here and if there is a soccer match somewhere in the world you want to see this is the place to go! Tons of TV’s, nice huge patio, good food, and a hell of a beer selection. Since many of the biggest soccer matches are in Europe they do breakfast so you can watch the match live. Nothing like eggs, bacon, and Guinness to get your day started! They also have a huge room in the back called«The Pitch» for private parties or overflow when the World Cup is on this year. Service has always been good. It is a bloody good time indeed.

I love that there is a «proper» futbol club/pub in Kansas and that it’s so close to my house. That’s why it gets two stars. In theory the place is great: showing premier soccer and, I hope, World Cup action come summer. I also love that, in theory, they offer«proper» English breakfast options. However, I would really like to keep going back, especially when my futbol fanatic friends come in from out of town. I would love to take pride in showing off this cool find to others. That being said, I’m asking the management to hire real servers that actually know the menu and are happy to work there and, well, serve?

It’s the best place to watch soccer in Kansas City, period. Soccer on display everywhere, great food, motivated fans. Was here for the Dortmund/Bayern Champions League game and the atmosphere was awesome. If it’s a serious game/tournament that I can’t watch live, I’m here.

If you like soccer this is the place to be! My motives for going didn’t include soccer, but I think this is a pub I could really like. Something I miss from home is the occasional rarebit burger. We had a couple of restaurants that served them and I could not find anywhere down here that did. After over a decade a place has finally opened with one on the menu and I had to try it! I am used to a hamburger smothered in the delicious rarebit sauce that requires a fork and knife to eat it. The option at Futbol Club has a little bit on top of the burger and can be easily managed with your hands. It is still good, but just not that artery clogging love from home. The actual burger was impressive. It has really good flavor and is juicy. Along with the rarebit sauce the burger is topped with their housemade chips. I will be back for the rarebit hamburger, but think I will need to order some extra on the side. The sandwiches generally come with the housemade chips, but there is a nice selection of sides that you can get instead. The chips are delicious. The waffle fries are nice and meaty and perfectly seasoned. The menu also offers some healthy choices, fruit, veggies, cottage cheese, which is always a win for me.(Especially being I now know my burger won’t be swimming in rarebit sauce to dip the fries in.) The menu also has a nice selection of other sandwiches to choose from along with meals and salads. A good place to go to satisfy a variety of tastes. We sat back in the restaurant part and it was a bit loud with a couple of groups and children. We thought the bar section up front would have been more suitable. The restaurant part seems like a better place for families and large groups. There are plenty of TVs to enjoy soccer and there appeared to be quite a few fans based on the apparel of everyone.(There was a Sporting KC game that night.) The restaurant part has a HUGETV. The décor is pretty typical sports bar. Service was perfect. Our waitress was just the right amount of attentiveness and knew the drink menu when asked about what was available. The manager greeted us as we were being walked to our seats and checked on us during our meal. I will definitely be back as both a soccer fan and more importantly a fan of the food.
