Ordered food for pick up and they wouldn’t sell me two sodas to go with my food because«10 dollar minimum» even though I just purchased food from them online.

This is a bar, so you can’t really expect sterling food. the three times I’ve ordered here, it has never come hot. I asked once if I could get it microwaved, and it came back at what appeared to be the same lukewarm temperature. If you’re going to eat here, I’d say try out something cold/room temp, like a wrap, salad or dessert. The bar was nice, and the bartenders were friendly enough. It is impossible to squeeze a recommendation out of them, or even a «most ordered item.» I’d love to get the Oshkosh experience, but until I learn what that is, I’m going to have to direct the bartenders with exact orders. I’m not sure why they are so hesitant to let me explore, but at least when you come with something in mind, they can make it very well! I really liked the atmosphere of this place, very undemanding and relaxed. People have fun, and there seem to be a fair amount of regulars of all creeds and color. I would be fine to stop in again, and hope to earn the trust of the bartenders enough to get a little direction to experience what this city’s beverage scene has to offer.

I was skeptical at first. This place has really improved by magnitudes in recent years. Best jalapeño poppers I’ve had.

Kendall is an awesome guy, great owner. The food is pretty fantastic for bar food, and you can’t beat the $ 2 Spotted Cow — true Wisconsin pride. It’s a bar, not a restaurant, so don’t expect that type of atmosphere going in. However, if you want some good beers, they have a decent selection and good food to go with it. And on Wednesdays they serve bacon with their drinks. Who can say no to that?

I was astonished by the food served there! Cheap prices, daily specials, and a very friendly staff. Also a great establishment for playing Billiards or Darts. Definitely will be returning in the near future!

There are a lot of billiards tables here and dart boards. Great for a group late at night. The drink specials each day are pretty good. The food is not so spectacular. A bit of a step below other bar food. People are friendly here but the service is slow.

Quite an eclectic clientele at this pool hall/bar/eatery. The home of the famous«Magnet chili dog», this place has quite a history. It was the first Wisconsin tavern, as of 15 June1940, to be issued a beer-only license.

i had not been there in a while, so when I stopped in with my nephew to play some pool. i was really happy to see the new owner made some changes. the place was remodeled, the bathrooms were clean, the seating around the pool tables was improved, and it had a «brighter» feeling to it. not the dingy dark pool hall it once was. the bartender was very friendly and was prompt with service. I tryed the famous mag dog and it was better than I remember. prices are very fair for drinks, food, and pool. had a great experiance, and i will be back.

The clientele is a bit scary, yes, but it’s a good place to play pool and darts. They’ve really cleaned up the place, redone the bathrooms – it looks nice. And there’s a good selection of music. I like the place, and I don’t mind putting up with some iquestionable people once in a while.

Get a Peeps from Ed or Arny or Dorothy, a famous Magnet Hot Dog over a million sold, light a cig, and lay it on the rail. Thrill Is Gone sings slowly on, Dave Butt sings along. It’s Letourneau, Backus, LaRose, Gillingham, Mark, and more, boys with sticks that I hadn’t thought of in years. Cold Wisconsin night walking home down Division, ghost of Stank, lights in Gibson’s, pizza wafting from Jess N’ Nicks, Rambler dealer with Honda bikes, A&P, Louarti’s, Rocket 88 atop the dealer, passing Pam’s, and Emb’s, Propson’s and Geislers. Yeah, it’s lowlife. Buddy you can’t even dream of the spirits blowing in and around that place, faintly dangerous, oh yes. Your shot, fish.

The Mag, as it is known by the locals, is an old fashion pool hall replete with low life and sometimes a feeling of danger. For those on a pub crawl who want a taste of the seamier side this is a good place to visit.
