Righteous Burger

Went. Back for a second time. Had the jack/​mushroom burger. Awesome taste and quality. I going to have to drive to Oroville more often!

This is anybody’s burger, anywhere, anytime. My burger was served hot and fresh, the fries were hot and greasy but good… The patty is of the pre-​formed frozen variety, bun was fresh and soft. Produce was crisp and clean. The dinning area was clean and was in need of new table covers. It seemed a bit pricey for what you get. The large soda with free refills was $ 2.69 by itself, a bit excessive for a drink. Here’s the break down. 3 burgers, 2 fries and 3 drinks was $ 35 and change. The Boss burger is much better and still delivers better taste and value. I might go back… I might not. I would give another star if the price was more in line with the areas burger joint. Parking SUCKS.

This is an average uninspired burger place with a varied menu and creative daily burger choices. Parking is difficult, décor is a failed mixed attempt of 80s posters and a Chipotle. Beef tastes fresh and well sourced, toppings taste processed and purchased in bulk, buns are pedestrian and uninspired. What this place needs is toppings, sides and sauces being created in house and freshly baked buns and alternative bun choices. Décor needs to be rethought, tables changed and Chipotle corrugated roofing removed. Floor AC unit in corner speaks to owners lack of vision, creativity and attention to detail.

We ate here yesterday. It is always very good, quick & efficient. We love the French fries. They are cooked perfectly every time. The burgers are equally good. I enjoy the hot dog with sauerkraut & mustard. It would be great if they had milkshakes! We also got a free lunch yesterday. When you buy so many the next one is free.

The whole hamburger is Top Notch. I’ve been craving another four weeks. They should be open 24 – 7 !

One of the best burger joints around! Always friendly and quick service. I love the 80’s music and movie posters!
They have everything you’d expect from a good burger shop, and their specials take the humble hamburger to places most of us would never think to go! They have more than the usual sides, with excellent fried green beans and sweet potato fries. If your feeling adventurous, try the current special, they never disappoint.
If you haven’t had a Ritcheous Burger, get down there, and don’t forget to grab a stamp card, because you’ll be back!

I rarely leave any place a five star review so this means a lot for me. Hands down best burger in butte county, and certainly in the top three I’ve ever had. We go here a lot, food is always consistent, always hot and fresh, quality ingredients flavorful etc. With so many places doing the grilled cheese ring nowadays i tend to roll my eyes at that but they do it justice for sure. Never been disappointed in dozens of visits. Has a nice laid back vibe, friendly employees who will remember your name if your somewhat regular, even the owner always greats me by name. Prices are more than fast food but not a whole lot maybe 30% or so, certainly worth the cost for the huge difference in quality.
Only minor qualm i would say is that the fries are generally not as crisp as i like, but if you ask for extra crisp they come out perfect. Highly recommended, oh and try the smoking ace burger.

This place is awesome! Hard to find a place that has great food with as friendly and as personable of people as this. The owners themselves always make sure we know how much they appreciate our business. Rare find!

Pretty good food, friendly service and fast, we had the grilled mushroom jack and crispy chicken.

Stopped in with a friend while out on a road trip in May. Had the Hawaiian Burger & Sweet Potato Fries, she had the Pesto Burger & Deep Fried Green Beans.
Burger patties themselves are thin, pile on all the toppings and you have a huge burger. It was just ok. Nothing seemed prepared from scratch… more like what most restaurants are doing and ordering from Sysco Foods.

This place is really good for burger lovers! It’s a bit pricey but I think it’s worth the money. Seating is small so if you have a big group, I suggest a to-​go.

If you want to wait a long time for an average hamburger and pay top dollar for it, Righteous Burger is the place for you. The Boss or meh Jakes are better…

Décor was fun, and all the tables have plenty of space. Staff wasn’t rude, and food was finished quickly. They can really stretch a quarter pound. Burger are very wide, and quite thin. Not Steak and Shake, but not far from it. Not a single double burger on the menu. Be sure to order a burger with cheese. The crispy bits were by far the best part off my meal.

Tried this place out for the first time today and it was good. The patties are ¼ lb. and 100% naturally raised beef which made for a good tasting burger. I had the Smokin’ Ace burger (grilled onions, cheddar cheese, bacon, chipotle mayo, and pickles) to eat and my boyfriend had the Clydesdale (horseradish, grilled onions, cheddar cheese, organic lettuce-​they forgot this, tomato, pickle, mayo and mustard). Both were a perfect size for lunch. The service was quick and the fries also tasted good. I will come back and try more at some point.

BEST burger place I have ever eaten at in Oroville, CA!!! VERY DELICIOUS meat, High Quality beef, Fresh products and worth the prices! They use shredded cheese and it gets that crusty cheese-​skirt taste on the grill, I love it!!! I highly recommend this place to all locals and tourists visiting the area! Been back 4 times now and everything has always been consistent and great. Staff working are friendly and welcoming towards me, place is clean, it is kind of small, but they have seating inside and a couple tables outside. So far I have never had any issues with parking, there are several spots for a small parking lot. They have a Great menu, so many great choices of interesting burgers, skinny fries, sweet potato fries, Hot Dogs, fried green beans and kids burgers. For drinks there is a fountain soda machine, or you can ask for a cup of water.
On my first visit, I ordered the Jalapeño Jack burger with sweet potato fries and my mom got a Cheddar cheeseburger with skinny fries! It was tasty Fresh Quality Beef!!! One thing I really like is you can order Half and Half fries, so you get both Sweet Potato and French Fries. In my opinion for the taste and quality of the meat/​fresh products, our lunch was worth every penny! The Mushroom burger is really great too! Make sure you get a stamp card, they punch out each purchase and then you’ll get a free burger after 10.
This is a small business, as long as you pay attention to the address #‘s, can’t miss the Billboard sign, you should be able to find it easy on Olive Hwy and turn into the parking lot!

I just drove 35 miles EACH WAY for these burgers. Best burger within 100 miles. Excellent quality beef… friendly service. Cannot beat Righteous Burger… would give 6 stars if possible.

Unilocalers led me to bring my husband to Righteous Burger when we were visiting Oroville. On the northeast side of town, Righteous Burger is not very close to anything (except for the storage facility that it is in front of). It is fast food — you order at the counter that is adjacent to the open kitchen. There is a clean dining area with half a dozen or so tables.
The food is generally average and is really overpriced. We ordered:
Western Bacon Cheddar Burger ($ 6.29) — oy vey do I feel ripped off. A 4, maybe 5, oz THIN patty of ground beef was topped with an onion ring or two, a boat load of cheddar cheese and some bbq sauce on a mass-​produced warehouse store bun. Because the patties are so THIN, «cooked to order» is either medium or well. So, when we ordered rare, we get medium. It was moist, but I expect more beef for $ 6.29. Everything about the burger was generic — nothing special.
Fried Green Beans ($ 3.39) — the rip off continues. While these green beans were delicious and may even be done in house, they are OVERPRICED. It was the paper McDonald’s happy meal fry container with about 10 beans and a side of ranch.
Add on a small soda for $ 2.09, and the total comes to $ 12.65 for an average burger and a handful of green beans with a drink. These are restaurant prices with fast food sizes and quality. The food is decent, but you can do better.
