I go here often so today was an exception. I was in the fixture plumbing area trying to find parts for my delta faucets. A young clerk asked me if I needed help. I said I did, I’d been searching for 10 minutes trying to get help. I knew the brand but wan’t quite sure of repair parts. He then walked past me to help a woman who was coming down the aisle. He spent 10 minutes with her and then ignoring me again went down the aisle to help another man who had just entered the area. Neither made a purchase but I did without his help. I think he was just avoiding older customers. I definitely won’t be coming back on the weekend or looking for plumbing fixture repair knowledge from clerks at Home Depot. It’s a shame because I’ve gotten great support in electrical, lighting and tools.

After calling to make sure they were open, I visited this HD on the 4th of July. Here is what happened when I went into the Garden Center, carrying the Home Depot newspaper sales ad. ME: Hello, I’d like to buy some of the petunias that are advertised as being on sale, two square containers for $ 10. CLERK:(A woman about my age, speaking in a very condescending tone.) That’s a national ad. Just because something is advertised in there doesn’t me WE have it. ME: Well, could you show me the petunias you DO have? CLERK: We don’t have petunias, they’re a spring flower. ME: Well, that’s news to me. I’ve lived in Tucson for nine years and I grow them every summer. They bloom far better than geraniums which don’t flower much in the heat. CLERK: They’re spring flowers. We might have something else in square containers. Probably vincas. But if we do they’re outside.(After which, she turns away from me.) Please note there was not ONESINGLEOTHERCUSTOMER in the entire garden center. She was standing around no doing anything when I arrived. Even if I wanted vincas, do you think I’d buy them from her? I see there are other people who have had good experiences at this store. Personally, I prefer the one near Costco off Thornydale, but I was in the area, so I stopped at this one. I’ll think again before I do that. Apparently certain people don’t like working on holidays.

I’m writing this in hopes that maybe a supervisor or home depot itself read this. If your woman coming here good luck. I don’t understand that because I know 1 of the managers is a woman so you would think that she would make sure the gentleman that work is there, let me correct that the men that work there if they were gentlemen they would help ladies. they always have an attitude. I tried to get a screen door today and the man who was running it I think his name was George no personality no smile not helpful. I paint before and if I go with my husband they help me if I come alone nobody helps. it’s very frustrating going to Home Depot and not be able to get help. At Lowes if you go to Lowes in Tucson they always help you no matter what. I live close to this Home Depot so I wish it wasn’t an issue but I’m getting sick of trying to purchase things for my home and the men who work there just don’t help horrible customer service.

This home depot is located in the Rooney Ranch shopping center located at 1st and Oracle. It is a nice store with friendly employees. They usually have what I need and I am in and out pretty quick. I have purchased several items from them over the years. The employees always go above and beyond compared to most places. I have even had them cut lumber for me and it was done fast and the measurements were perfect. The paint department does a great job and I have used them several times. If you bring the kids be sure to check out the pond in the garden area with the turtles and fish.

This location is great because I feel like it’s never too crowed. The lines are always long though but self check out wide open. Friendly and helpful staff!

Ok I get it– I’m a chick. First time I came in the guy who helped me was amazing. Wish I had gotten his name– was super friendly, found everything on my list for me, wouldn’t let me carry anything, walked me to the register, and even waited in line with me… haha wait. maybe he should have gotten MY name ;) The next visit on the same day– I needed lumber and asked someone at the service desk to call someone to help me. I told the guy what I was using the lumber for… and yeah, ok, I don’t know what the difference between the many types of wood are… so of course he sold me the most expensive wood they had even after I told him it was going to be covered with drywall. Not cool. Then I needed 1″ drywall screws and he said they do not exist and sold me something else. Turns out they DO exist. Thanks again. The success of my visits here greatly depend on the staff helping me. Do not trust all their staff as experts because many are not.

I always hear how horrible it is to go to Home Depot. Maybe I am too easy or just live by a good one but this Home Depot in Oro Valley always has great service plus I love that if I loose my receipt I can still return items for a store credit. I have found most of the associates to be happy to help at the store and really like shopping here.

When it comes to the local Home Depot’s this location in OV has the best customer service and product knowledge hands down. This is in contrast to say, the Marana location. With the amount of trips we take to the hardware store I wish we still lived in OV so we could still frequent this location.

Home Depot is clean, They have a lot of stuff and they are conveniently located, but I always seem to be there at a time when all the sales associates are out getting carts for other people because I can never find one. I go there when I already know what I am looking for. If I have questions I usually go to the other place.

Aw, the Oro Valley Home Depot is precious. Like the town’s demographic, Home Depot is filled with retirees and snowbirds. The staff is friendly and chipper and eager to help. The store is well-maintained and clean(for a hardware store). Oh, and the parking lot scenery with Pusch Ridge is pretty sweet.

I was shopping there just the other day when… I realized that I probably should have got a shopping cart… when not one, not two, but three employees asked me if they could get me a shopping cart. A very nice surprise… guest service in this day and age at a building supply store? WOW. Needless to say… after I declined the shopping cart the first two times, I was relieved the third time an employee had asked, as by that time… I was tired of hauling everything around :)
