Ace Hardware

Love this store. Great service for years. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Bonus feature is you do not have the dreadful noise of big box contracting stores. They always have what you want and need. Yeah!!!

What’s not to love about Ace Hardware? It’s my go-​to place for quick project supplies. It’s not like Home Depot with scads of construction supplies, but when you need a fastener, you can get it here without having to buy a box of them.
Today I bought a Kreg switch for my router table at Woodcraft. When I got it home, I realized it wasn’t going to mount right on it. Hey, it’s a Kreg product and I have a Bench Dog extension for my Delta table saw. I devised a hack though, using some drip edge flashing I had left over from the roof of my shed for the sheet metal, and ran to Ace for the 1 inch ¼×20 bolts and accompanying washers, lock washers and nuts to mount it on the side of the router table. All told, about $ 1.60 in parts. The switch is happily mounted, and I don’t have to go under the table to turn the router on and off.
If I had one gripe, it’s that I can’t walk ten feet in the store without an employee wanting to help me. I get it. It’s all about service, and I don’t like having to wander a massive big box store looking for someone when I need help. I’m a hardware store nerd though, and when I go looking for what I came for, I discover so much along the way. It takes me back to the days when my dad and I would spend an hour or two at the hardware store and he’d explain all of the tools to me.
Maybe they need to hand out a flag that I can don that says, I’ve been asked, now leave me alone.

Picked up some duct tape. No lines at register, roomy organized store, and awesome customer service.

If you can’t find what you are looking for at Home Depot or Lowes, this is your last resource. I certainly would not visit this store first. The store has a large staff and I would not call them friendly. Every time I visit, the store has about five customers and ~ seven employee. Maybe if the staff were friendlier they would have more customers. The store prices are higher which is ok if it equal the service.

The one thing about this store is their willingness to assist. They are prompt, have a good selection of product, and the staff is very helpful. I have been a few times now and each time the staff greets me, offers assistance, and takes me to right where I need to be. Today I needed keys. Not really a big deal but the guy went over and above to make sure the keys were perfect… and they were. I think their prices are a little higher than the big box stores but I can’t complain because their service is excellent. I highly recommend this particular Ace Hardware.

Very friendly staff. The prices are going to be a little more expensive than your Lowe’s or Home Depot, but the service makes up for paying a little more. This is a huge Ace Hardware and chances are they will have exactly what you need. Service people are crawling all over the store and always ask you if you need assistance. Great store!

Homedepot’s exact opposite! Yes, less of a selection but the guys on the floor are amazing in helping you out. Good luck finding anyone at homedepot and if you see them they usually try and get away from you! Now the ladies at the registers are not the friendliest but whatever. Thanks for all your help… always my first choice!

The staff here is so helpful and so knowledgeable. I recently went to Home Depot and nobody knew anything but at this Ace not only did I get my questions answered but also excellent suggestions for other things I may encounter. What a pleasant experience, thank you!

This ACE HARDWARE is one of the best in Tucson. It is Huge, has a great selection, much more than other Ace Hardwares i have been in, and has staff that know what they are selling. Highly recommend going to this ace hardware for your weekend projects.
