Two-​thirds of my «dining trio» (Gary and I-​mom not with us last night) visited Sushi Valley for a fast, enjoyable meal. We’ve been here twice now. Last night found a full house, I’m glad to say. That means the restaurant is catching on. We wanted a wholesome, reasonable meal at a fast pace, after a long work day. They delivered.
We ordered Chicken Pad Thai and one egg roll order. The egg rolls came cut up in segments. Yummy. The Pad Thai was fab; it was a huge order so we shared it. That keeps «eating-​out» expenses low. Lots of chicken and a very tasty Pad Thai flavoring. One of the better Pad Thai’s I have had. The staff/​owners are very friendly and hard-​working, so it’s especially nice to give them business. The ambiance is pretty small and simple but family-​friendly and comfortable. They have some tables in the middle section, and booths lining both walls. They do take out as well as offer a menu full of choices, including a separate sushi menu. GIve them a try.

This a great new little Chinese takeout joint in Oro Valley. The key here is TAKEOUT. It JUST opened, so little hiccups and glitches were expected. I popped in solo for a cheap Chinese lunch loaded with a bunch of work to read through during my dining experience. I ordered at the counter and sat down in one of the very few booths while I waited for my food. The server gave me a free cup of hot tea, which I graciously appreciated. Several customers came in to pick up bags of takeout lunches– the place had pretty steady business. My lunch was promptly delivered to my table nicely packaged as takeout. I stayed put and ate. There are about 7 lunch specials that are less than $ 6.50 (without drink). They include an egg roll or crab puff and a choice of hot and sour soup or egg drop soup. The portions are very generous making the price quite a bargain. I ordered the Kung Poa Chicken, which was listed in the menu as spicy. This dish was by no means spicy, although I found 4 hot peppers swimming around. The fried rice was de-​lish. I’ll certainly be back… FOR TAKEOUT ;)
