Florida state park, great for camping and families. Has boat access and rentals for kayaking as well as canoeing. Great for picnics too

Awesome state park, very close to Daytona, traveling from Michigan for jeep beach. Very close to beach and restaurants. My only complaint was soap dispensers in women’s bathroom, there were bugs in the soap and it smelled disgusting. Other than that very nice clean park, quiet at night. Lots of sites available

I have been camping at Tomoka State Park for 20 years for Speedweeks… Great camping and always well maintained…

This is a great local park. Several friends have calmed there just to get out with there kids some place safe. I have used the canoe and kayak rentals. They also serve some food and they have beer and wine. From this location you can kayak to the tomoka river basin and into the intercostal or take one of the many canals back into history.

Great campsite, level and easy to back in to. The place was quiet after 10:00. The outpost was nice but bring your own food. Everything they have is frozen and you put it in the microwave. The people working at the Outpost are very helpful with fishing tips. The park seems remote but its only 10 minutes from the City of Ormond Beach, so if you forget something don’t stress.

I went kayaking with two others here on a beautiful Ormond day. We rented one single kayak and one double kayak. The people at the park store are very helpful and friendly. Being kayak novices, they gave us some helpful tips and pointed out the direction we should head and told us a few path options depending on how long we wanted to stay out. It was a lot of fun and we definitely plan on going again in the future.

I was disappointed in Tomoka State Park simply because it’s so hard to find out what they have to do there or where to go! I’m quite good with maps, but the one they handed us when we arrived didn’t actually tell us anything… where are the walking paths? where should we park? what else is here? We found the little convenience store and where you can go kyaking and boating, but we were just looking to go for a walk that day. We found another place further in to park and wandered about eventually finding some nice paths to walk along.

It was very pretty, had a trail, kayak and canoe rentals and we saw a manatee swim by. We thought it would be a bit larger ands have a fishing pier, but still a nice park.

Who doesn’t love Tomoka? Tomoka is a fairly large park in Ormond Beach that basically has… well…everything. There’s places to camp, fish, eat, and even hike! The only drawback is that there’s no swimming, but you’re in Ormond, so the beach is right there… The Good: Plenty to do: There really is quite a bit you can do here and it is fun to spend a day doing the nature trails with the kids and looking at the wildlife. And if you’re lucky, you might see a manatee! Camper’s Paradise: There are plenty of facilities here for campers and RVs, and most of the camping spots have power hookups. Woot! Museum: Need to get away from the heat for awhile? There’s a nice little museum with some park history that you can check out. Nothing TOO interesting, but still. It’s a nice diversion! The Bad: No swimming: You can boat, but you can’t swim. Ah, the sadness. Tomoka Park is a really great alternative to hitting the beach immediately when you are in Ormond, and it provides a whole lot of stuff to do… unless you want to swim that is :-( Overall 8.9/10= Terrific Tomoka
