This place was simply amazing. great fresh food at a great price. the BBQ was amazing it was tender and had little fat. The long board shrimp burrito was moist and juicy. I recommend the strawberry Ice tea… becareful the large is huge and you get free refills. The kitchen staff was very kind and friendly. Only reason it was not a 5 star was because they were out of stock on some items. Also keep in mind out door seating which is about 8 picnic tables but they also do take out

My goodness, a really good spot beachside is hard to find. Most places beachside know options are limited and therefore are not good let alone great. This place is great and I highly suggest you stop here your first day in town and just figure on eating here everyday. No joke. Great prices for what you get.

Great view of the beach and perfect place to stop by before or after taking in the sun. I love that they have Italian ices too… So save some room in you belly for dessert

Great service, great atmosphere, and great food! Our first time there, but we will make this place a must in return trips to the beautiful Ormond Beach area!

My boyfriend suggested this place. At first I was kinda iffy. But I ordered the crab & shrimp taco!!! Omg so in love! Glad we came here. We came back for the 2nd day in a row. And the mango smoothie are the best! Taste so fresh!!! I would definitely recommend this place!

We have family in Ormond Beach and are always looking for somewhere to go with our two toddler sons that has quality food, that everyone will eat in a laid back atmosphere… this spot is definitely a winner! Outdoor seating, island music, hammock, corn hole, and delicious food. I’m thinking about going back tomorrow! Stoked to land such a solid find.

Causal beachside location, mahi tacos with corn was very tasty, my daughter loved the Gromburito. We wanted the chocolate covered pie on a stick but they had sold out, they reported they sell out early. Covered picnic tables, Reggae music, and very nice ocean breeze made for a comfortable pleasant seaside meal. We will come back for more.

Cute ocean front venue for casual fare and beer. Shrimp in tacos was overly salty but we’re good and slaw was excellent

We just moved to town and happened to drive by this interesting outdoor restaurant. I had the beef brisket plater and my wife had the pulled chicken plater. They were both amazing. And with a great view of the ocean across the street this place can’t be beat. The prices are a bit high but the food is worth it.

Wow! This has been a great find. They started out with a food truck, then had a place in New Smyrna and now here. Lucky us to live close by. You order at a window… the pulled pork is great. And my husband liked the tender moist brisket, which I liked, but not as much as the pork. It’s very tender — and their BBQ sauces are delicious. We also particularly liked the cole slaw. I got the strawberry lemonade. It was delicious but too sweet for my palette. They nicely offered up some sparkly water which I mixed it with and then it was perfect. It’s a very relaxed beachy atmosphere. You sit at picnic tables painted tropical colors with palapa umbrellas. You can see the ocean. Very happy nice vibe there. Next time we will try the baked beans and baby back ribs which I’ve heard are good. Definitely going back again soon. Tip for ladies… put your hair up so it won’t blow in your face.

I found myself in Ormond Beach recently and starving. A quick search on Unilocal led me to Crabby Chris and I’m so happy to have found it. Situated right across from the Atlantic along A1A in Ormond this eatery offers an ambience you would expect from an Oceanside restaurant. Marley and the like play over the speakers as you walk up to this shack. The menu is on the small side, but still offers something for anyone from pulled pork to mahi tacos. The seating is all outside, think of it like a beach concession stand, so get it to go if it’s raining outside. Everything I’ve tried on their menu is tasty, but the Tortuga burrito is my favorite and my husband can’t get enough of the shrimp tacos. I love the laid back atmosphere and fair. It’s delicious but not pretentious. If you’re in the area, definitely make a stop here!

Bruh, best beachside barbecue. Alliteration aside, I actually didn’t have the BBQ but opted for Mexican instead. We got the buffalo chicken«grom» burrito, shrimp burrito, two side orders of Mexican street corn and a bucket of ice cold Coronas for only $ 35 total. This is legit my new favorite spot and I’m pissed we didn’t know to come here years prior. It’s got multi-colored picnic tables and Bob Marley playing in the background and the perfect view of Ormond by the Sea right across the road. Everything was delicious. The burritos were toasted so perfectly. My shrimp was extra flavorful. The pico de gallo was freshly made and the mango/chili sauce was creamy and delicious. The buffalo chicken burrito was SPICY, but so so good. The Mexican street corn was also spicy, but very tasty and juicy. I left feeling full but also a little bit like«I could make room for something else on the menu.» I would love to go back and try their crab and shrimp tacos or mahi mahi burrito or full rack of ribs for only $ 16 or pulled pork burrito. Ughh it all sounds so good and I’m torn on what to order. But I will absolutely return here, hands down.

Pulled chicken sandwich is amazing with the sweet BBQ sauce. The way the coleslaw and the BBQ sauce compliment each other makes me dream about this sandwich.

This spot was excellent, we visited here from VA and we were looking for a local spot not your average famous Daves or FRIDAYS. The food was so good we got the platter for 3 and some shrimp tacos, so good. I wish there were places like this in VA. I would definitely go back to this place when I visit Daytona again. And its right next to the beach so you have a nice view. The staff was very friendly as well.

Location is awesome, right off the beach in a beautiful area! Great hang out spot. Food is really good too. We had the turkey, chicken, and some decent sides! I’d rate the entrees 4⁄5 and sides 3⁄5. Just isn’t anything that special or standout about the sides and felt they could be improved. Also, in the few times I’ve went the wait has been a little long.

Great spot! Brisket cooked for 18 hours! Heck yes. Burnt Ends, Pulled Chicken Tacos, Pork Tacos(thank you for corn tortillas) My daughter loves the ribs! Great sides as well. They do run out of items on busy days so be prepared great place to relax enjoy a beer and watch the ocean break.

Pretty good tacos. I got the blackened mahi mahi tacos and my husband got the grilled shrimp tacos. Both were really good. The locale is kind of strange outside off the side of the beach with a small shack where they prepare all their food. But they’re lemonade that they claim is fresh squeezed tasted a lot like country time lemonade and it didn’t really taste that great.

My wife and I had awesome meals at Crabby Chris’ last night. I had the bbq shrimp and lobster taco. It couldn’t have been any better. Fresh shrimp & lobster, a little spiciness with the bbq. Just perfect. My wife had the bbq ribs, very tender, just enough kick and grizzle. The meat fell off the bone. Great casual atmosphere. Outside eating on Picnic tables with umbrellas. Right on A-1-A with a great ocean view. A truly wonderful, casual dining experience.

I had my first taste at the King of the Grill competition at Rockefeller Gardens. I had the brisket platter and my son had the pulled pork. Both were very good. Next time we ran into them at Riverfest at Rockefeller Gardens and we had their pie on a stick. WOW! They take a variety of homemade pies, slice them, insert a Popsicle stick, dip in chocolate, then freeze it. It was incredibly delicious. I’ve had lunch at their Ormond Beach location twice now. First time I had the Brisket sandwich with their famous BBQ potato salad. It was great. Today I walked over and grabbed a Mahi Burrito and a side of collards. It was very good again. I will eventually make my way over to their New Smyrna Beach location but until then, I’m happy they are here on the beach in Ormond so close to my house!
