World of Chocolate Museum & Cafe

We never got served. So we left. No chocolate. No tour. There was 2 people working, 6 – 7 customer and myself and my daughter. No one looked at us, greeted us or acknowledged us at all. We stood, we paced and we walked out. We were in there at 2:30 today… didn’t even get to buy any chocolate. What a disappointment. This place is nothing to spend your money on. Trust me!

Neat tour but the real good part is the chocolate. I would spend the $ 16 on more chocolate to take home instead of doing the tour next time.

AMAZING!!! I love chocolate, but now I love chocolate even more now that I learned so much about it! The museum is spectacular and educational. Our tour guide is a wealth of knowledge on chocolate and very friendly. Once you walk in, the smell of chocolate makes your mouth water. The small cakes are to die for! I’ve tried 6 different ones and they are all incredibly delicious!!! This place is chocolate heaven. The Groupon is an awesome deal!

Had a great time. Charlie was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about everything related to chocolate. The tour included chocolate samples (my favorite part of the tour).
The chocolates are a little pricey but it’s worth it. Would recommend a cup of coffee and a couple of pieces of chocolate.

Way overpriced. We didn’t do the tour because it was too much and settled for some chocolate which was still expensive. I’m not sure why there are so many positive reviews for this place.

I loved our tour guide. He accepted my group as we came late. Very enthusiast attitude.
This museum is legit. I couldn’t believe the amount and density of chocolate in one place. Towards the end of the tour, you’ll get to sample around 10 different chocolates. You’ll find one that you’ll want to buy.

This whimsical museum is unlike any other. You’ll begin your visit by entering the main lobby which houses a chocolate truffle shop and the entry to the museum itself. If you have a tour scheduled you’ll check in here, or if you want to schedule one, you can do that as well!
Tours run about every fifteen minutes depending on how busy it is. The narrators are fun and have some quirky jokes and stories. The sculptures are the real show stopper for visual. Of course the tasting at the end doesn’t hurt either!
The only down side I’d say is that unless new sculptures come in, it’d be roughly the same tour if we did it again. However the truffle shop is a must repeat!

The tour was short, crisp and sweet in the literal sense. Patty our guide, was energetic, friendly, fun and very knowledgeable. I learnt a lot about chocolate and its origins as a drink long before it took shape as a bar. The piece de resistance are the wonderful chocolate sculptures and a collection of rare chocolate wrappers from around the world. The sampling of chocolate is fun and it finishes off on a high note with hot chocolate. Loved the tour and the store, had a great time it’s definitely warrants a visit.

This place is awesome! If you like chocolate then this is a must do on your bucket list! It’s a small museum of how chocolate came to be. Chris our tour guide was hysterical with lil jokes along the way. You get to taste chocolates, which were amazing.
I highly recommend that you do the wine tasting w/​chocolate pairing. It’s the first time I have liked a dry wine and I purchased a sweet red that was to die for; after the tasting.
Will be coming back!

This place was pretty cool, went there for a chocolate tour and saw some cool stuff. A little boring and drawn out… Next time just going for happy hour and chocolate

While a tad bit pricey on some items, an awesome and unique experience that is definitely worth checking out.
My wife and I have been to this location several times. We first went for a meetup where they did a chocolate and wine pairing. The guide provided some great insight into chocolate and wine, and we decided to buy a few bottles afterwards.
We went back most recently late one night to get some chocolate and wine. They have a large area where you can order a wide range of chocolates and drinks, including coffee and wine. They have lots of little specials to try out, so we got the 2 pieces of chocolate and glass of any wine for $ 9. The lady behind the counter helped us pick out a good wine to go with our champagne and bacon/​chocolate pieces. We sat down at the table and enjoyed our wine and chocolate while nice classical music played in the background. If you are looking to take someone on a date, this would be a fantastic place to end the night.
Overall, this is a very fun Orlando attraction that is fairly priced and lots of fun.

Opens at 11 but the first tour is at noon. If you don’t get there early the tours book up. So, the solution is go at 11 and book noon tour. Then do the wine and chocolate pairing. You get 3 wines and 3 chocolates. Interesting, delicious, fun!
The tour was good and the sculpture pretty neat, but could have used a bit on information on cooking with chocolate… tempering, melting, etc.

A ton of different types of chocolates, especially ones like Earl Grey Tea.

We visited World of Chocolate thinking that we would be visiting a candy making factory. We were wrong but it was our fault. We did enjoy the tour and listening to the history of chocolate from our guide. The samples were nice but we were reminded this was a tasting and not a buffet.
The chocolates for sale looked delicious but once we discovered everything was shipped in, we weren’t quite as interested. However even though, it wasn’t exactly what we expected others have really loved visiting the World of Chocolate.

What a wonderful find! As soon as we spotted this place on our way to check in to our hotel, we KNEW we were going to go there during our trip in Orlando. While poking around online, I found a deal at another site that offers a hefty discount for the ‘museum tour/​chocolate tasting’. Bonus!
After a brisk hike, we thought we have burned enough calories to merit a treat (or two) from the museum. Upon entering the premises, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it’s an honest-​to-​goodness café in a minimalist, European kind of way. They offer sandwiches, pastries, sweets, gelato, charcuterie, wine (!), and chocolates from all over the world, or should i say from places famous for their chocolates. There’s a cute little area for chocolate-​related merchandise and oh, did I mention… they also offer specialty coffee. More on that later.
First, the museum tour. Our guide was this really cool guy (sorry I forgot his name!), who gave us the lowdown on everything chocolate ~ its history, its origin, discovery, and its journey towards what we now know today. Pretty interesting stuff. Since this is a museum, there were chocolate displays to behold. How about famous landmarks made of chocolate? check. Chocolate busts of famous people in history? Or chocolate bars from all over the world? Check and check. Pretty cool stuff.
But who am I kidding… I was really there for the chocolates. Bring on the tasting! And we were not disappointed, Our guide first had us taste the cacao drink, as it would have tasted when chocolate was first discovered. It tasted great. It reminded me of home. We used to drink cacao drink in it’s simplest form back then. Brought back a lot good memories. Then off to the real things. Our guide prepared a chocolate spread for us ~ chocolates in different exotic flavors, from dark, not so dark, and the white kind ~ which as we found out, is technically not chocolate. So yeah…#nowyouknow.
After the tour, we hit the café. They had pretty good selection. Everything sounded good. Hubby opted for a panini, I went for the small charcuterie plate, with cappuccino, and the mouth-​watering mango guava cheesecake. Everything was super-​delicious, I was actually sad we waited til our last day in Orlando to come to this place. I could have easily come a couple more times. I heard the have chocolate and wine pairing events. I would’ve loved that.
Overall, a wonderful experience, one of the highlights of this trip. Definitely worth the visit.

Update: I came in the day before and had a bad experience. I was reluctant to go back, but I’m really glad I did! The sugar free cake here is amazing, but the service I received this evening restored my love for this company. One bad service can ruin guest relationships, but every business deserves another chance. The young man at the counter recognize me and we had a nice conversation about the sugar free tiramisu.

The World of Chocolate is a fun little museum perfect for a rainy day or a chilly day.
Not only is this museum pretty sweet, it is historical. The history aspect can seem pretty weird if you are not all about it, but they make sure to put it together in a more interesting way.
For example, there are a number of famous sculptures built of chocolate. It is amazing, & lots of detail.
There is a chocolate tasting at the end. At first it seems like itty bitty pieces, but it is better than it first appears. They also give u a shot of hot chocolate. That is yummy, but small.
Before or afterwards, you can relax in their café and get a dessert or of course some chocolate and a drink. It is a nice set up.
I was able to get a living social or groupon. It made the entrance even sweeter!

The World of Chocolate is actually an attraction with store front selling chocolate. The chocolate products are amazing.
I learn a lot from the tour. The tour is about 1 hour with the history of the chocolate and where they grow. I also learn the chocolate grow within the latitude of 23 degree north and south. This is very exclusive area that can grow cocoa bean. The top country produce and make chocolate is from the Swiss.
The tour explains a lot of thing to a non chocolate person like me. During the tour we have try the cocoa with hot chili when the local original make the drink. I have two shot since not many like spicy drink in chocolate bean. The beans then pass through the Europe and perfect into sweet chocolate. During the tour we also try the second most expensive chocolate bar — the porcelana.
The tour is expensive if you paid full price. We have groupon and the cost is $ 10 per person plus tax. If it is full price, I may not have got into this attraction. It does have some value and interesting fact to visit.

This was a really fun little outing. We did a wine and chocolate tasting and it was nicely done. This place is great for grabbing something to eat or for a nice air conditioned activity if you were outside all day.
I really liked several of their wines and I thought the chocolate was great. We also got a chocolate volcano cake from their display case and it was amazing!
Next time we come we’re definitely going to get a cheese plate and a bottle of wine :-) I also want to try more of their individual chocolates and truffles. The chocolates are a bit pricey, but very good. Part of the price is for the experience, so I think it’s fair.
There’s also a tour and a little chocolate museum that looked sort of cute. We didn’t do that but it looked sort of fun.
Overall, this is a fun place and I will probably go back.

We took my parents here while on vacation and found a deal for a $ 9 tour on TravelZoo. Our tour guide, Chris, was great. He made the tour interesting and was super friendly and knowledgeable. He answered everyone’s questions and the one or two questions he was unsure about, he found out the answer for us. Our tour was all adults, so we got to go a little deeper into discussions about the decline in American chocolate v. other countries and it was very interesting.
The chocolate sculptures were awesome — Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Easter Island statues, etc. You are allowed to take photos of all, just no flash photography. The samples were delicious and it was nice to try several pieces of chocolate from different countries. We also got to try a sample of the hot chocolate and I would have purchased a cup of it if we weren’t all «chocolated out» by the end of the tour!
While I’m not sure I would be willing to pay the $ 16.95 for a regular priced ticket, I felt that the deal we got was a fair price and it was a fun, unique and informative tour and a great museum!
