Pirates Dinner Adventure

Super awesome show! I’ve gone five times and already planning another trip back! Everyone is wonderful. From the check in staff, to the servers, to the actors! The atmosphere, the ship, all of the props make you feel like you’re part of the crew. Argh! :) you’ll be guaranteed to laugh, and if you’re like me the story line will pull you in. The kids get to go on ship and be sworn in as pirates! And let’s not forget that wicked awesome dance party at the end of every show. Watch the pirates show off their dance moves :) great for all ages… don’t miss a chance to be apart of the show!

Just here add to wait, and wait some more, this is no Disney organization! You will wait outside in line forever to get in, you’ll wait to be seated, you’ll wait forever to get drink and food. Now on the other hand the show is great and good for kids and families, but with all the waiting it ruins the experience.

This was great fun for my son, he’s 9. But his father and I enjoyed it as well. We are local so I waited until I could get a Groupon. We got the VIP tickets which was great. Puts you right in the action, front and center! Food was much better than expected. Service was great! Everyone was very friendly. I will say, I would never pay full price for the tickets. But if you can get a good deal, it’s a lot of fun!

This place rocks even if you’re conservative by the end of the night you’re on stage never wanting it to end my family and I enjoyed our night tremendously. The cast was superb and so friendly. They get everyone involved. Kids were smiling ear to ear the entire show. And when it’s over the dance party at the end is even too much fun. I 100% recommend this place. Go with a smile leave with memories.

$ 5.00 to park. Not sure if the website informs customers about parking but I found out from reading reviews. Anyhow, we purchased vip seats w includes a buffet of appetizers which was average. Very musty smelling, which you get use to but argghhh… I just hope their isn’t mold growing inside. Very chilly inside, but I do understand the performers move around a lot so bring your jacket. I didn’t like the food. It reminded me of something they would serve in the nursing home. So that was a totally waste because I didn’t want the food to even meet my mouth.
The good things are that the performers had very high energy and I think they were great. Very interactive with the crowd and w crowd participation. The waitress did a great job as well. The energy of the people was very nice and it was a nice after party vibe.
I just wish they could fix the musty smell and get a better chef on deck!

$ 5 for parking… okay…you get $ 5 off at gift shop. The wait to get in the place is silly. No reason to get your tickets online when you still have to wait in the long line; the same line that people are purchasing tickets at. No benefit to purchase online; you wait in same line. The only reason I would buy online is to make sure to save a seat (which there were hundreds available). This is a great place… dinner and a show and appetizers with pre-​show. Good price for the entertainment. I took my boyfriend and his adult children there and it was a great bonding place. The actors work hard at what they do and the food was actually good and fast. Check for discounts online. Mild participation was just comfortable enough for a shy group. Thank you for the time and show. They were great

My family went to this dinner theatre. Overall we had a great experience. The entertainment was appropriate for kids and adults alike. The food was more like 3 star, but this is to be expected. The actors did a great job performing and getting the crowd involved. Because of it being in the off season, the crowd was very light, so we had 2^nd row seating at no extra charge. I would definitely recommend this show to other families, but like many things in the Kissimmee /​orlando area… look for coupons or groupons. Happy adventure! !

Eh. Well we did it and won’t be back. The show was good but very long. Food was good and it wasn’t great. Waitress worked there butts off for the massive seating arrangements that the place had and I felt ignored which wasn’t her fault, the layout and the craziness that the show brings neglected us. I’m glad we found a groupon for the tickets or otherwise I would not have gone.

I came here per recommendation from a hotel concierge desk. Booking through them, they had some discount. I didn’t have any special plans and thought this will give me something to do.
After purchasing tickets, I checked Unilocal reviews… Oh, okay. It was non refundable ticket and went anyway. Information I received from them wasn’t clear and while I was waiting for the main show, I thought about getting up and leave as it was that bad.
For 8:30pm show, email I received said to arrive between 7 – 7:30pm for activities and appetizer. I arrived shortly after 7pm. They took a picture (later they tried to sell for $ 10), and I sat there until 7:30pm. They brought one kind of appetizer (chicken salad) with bread. You have to stand in line to get a plate. Waiting area seating is very limited and most people are while standing. Pre-​show started around 8pm and it was mainly to organize the crowds. They divide into 6 color coded group, due to the main show area design, they need to seat people in orderly manner. Once you get seated, it’s almost impossible to get out if you are stuck in the middle seat. I suggest using restrooms before the main dinner show.
The main show turned out to be fun, interactive and they bring the crowds together. I actually had fun watching the show. It’s not as fancy as Las Vegas show but price is not as high either. I like the fact they recognized group of people celebrating special occasions. The night I visited, they had two kids celebrating cancer free. These two kids and their family must went through so much pains during cancer treatment and they and all other customers celebrated their moment together.
Food… It was like bad cafeteria type food. I couldn’t finish my food. Dinner price includes choice of drink, funny tasting beer, regular Coke or tap water. They also have cash bar.
I was told they have a post show event but I left shortly before the main show ended. It gave me things to do and I enjoyed the show.

Food was terrible, but the show was so fun! Happy I went and would go again, but know it’s just a silly exoerience and I assume kids would love it.

The VIP lounge was great it has great food. The show was about 2 hours the food was good. The VIP ticket gave us front row and unlimited beer, soda, and wine. The action was non stop and entertaining. I would go again.

I will admit, here and now, that I didn’t pay for the tickets as myself, my wife and my parents went (on the parents dime, whooo). That being said, I don’t think I would’ve minded paying $ 35/​person for the show we got. So let’s get down to the nitty gritty of the review, and let’s be honest, what you all want to hear.
This review will be categorized in five sub-​categories.
1) Pre-​show — ²⁄₅ — The pre-​show is exactly as most people made it sound,… lots of people shoved into a small room with souvenirs lining the walls, a small appetizer cart with pasta/​bread and actors giving a prelude to the story you are about to listen to/​experience. That being said, it’s not ALL that bad,… sure the acting can be a little campy, but honestly I expected it going into it. I was all set to roll my eyes at the show in the first place!
2) Main Show — ³⁄₅ — The show itself was very confusing and filled with plot holes,… but not much you can do about that. I mean,… it’s vampire pirates. Not exactly much text to go by there! With this in mind, the acrobatics and stunts were,… much to my surprise, rather well done. Once again, I didn’t expect much! But I was rather surprised at the quality of the stunts/​acrobatics done by some of the actors. Swinging on a rope, meh. But the «Sun Faerie» as they called her,… jesus,… she was rather amazing. The story wasn’t the show,… I firmly believe this. I believe the show is in the stunts and talent that some of them have.
3) Food — ³⁄₅ — I will say this quite a bit,… I didn’t expect much. The menu was pretty spare consisting of;
a) Buccaneer Beef Kabobs — wife ordered this, she actually liked it (HEY MIKEY!)
b) Gluten Free Meal
c) Roasted Chicken Half — the rest of us ordered this meal, more will be explained.
d) Vegan Meal
e) Veggie Meal
These were the choices you could get with your standard ticket (These are the adult menu items). Each item is served with soup or salad, and dessert. The soup was a tomato soup (REALLY thick) and we were told to eat like pirates,… meaning they didn’t have spoons or something. This might be fun for kids,… but honestly I couldn’t eat it thinking that not all dish washers/​employees do the best of jobs. I just didn’t feel comfortable doing this. I ended up passing it along to my step-​father to accompany his salad.
As for the main entrée, I was really surprised. I heard all these people who came to a show and expected ‘5 star’ cuisine. I don’t understand that personally,… you pay $ 50+ a plate at most 5-​star restaurants, so why would you even remotely expect this? My mother, step-​father and myself got the chicken. Mine was extremely juicy and well done, falling off the bone and actually tasting rather good (quite possibly around Applebee’s quality or around there). The vegetables were surprisingly good (standard fair,… carrots, broccoli, cauliflower) and the rice was also really good. It had pieces of vegetables mixed in and actually reminded me of a mix of Spanish rice and fried rice, a good accompaniment to the meal honestly. My wife’s meal was the Buccaneer Beef Kabobs,… we didn’t know what to expect going into this honestly, as everyone has different interpretations of what a kabob comes with. The steak pieces had a light sauce on them that prevented it from being dried out, and the vegetables (tomato, peppers and onion for those who want to know) were really well done and delicious. Honestly,… dessert could be passed over. It tasted like a sheet brownie from GFS with ice cream on the side. The ice cream far out shined the brownie itself.
4) Acting — ²⁄₅ — Once again, I didn’t expect movie quality here,… who honestly could?! The different ‘stand vampirates’ (the actors who held sections for activities,… such as red/​green/​blue/​purple/​yellow etc etc) were very bland. Obviously that’s hard to hide if you’ve been doing it for so long. Some were better than others,… we were in the purple section (and as the lady who gave us the tickets commented,… «Oh you got the crazy one»). He was honestly the best one there,… he was VERY crowd attentive, even playing with some of the kids in the crowd.
5) After show — ⁵⁄₅ — After the show was all said and done the people were moved back into the pre-​show room where they had a dance party. There were tons of kids/​adults dancing with the vampirates who joined them on the dance floor. It went on for around 5 – 6 songs before the pirates went back to the dressing room, and the crowd slowly filtered out of the hall to go home.
I know most of you are looking at this wondering how I got ⁴⁄₅ stars, but it honestly was due to the Purple Vampirate. He more than made the show enjoyable for us as he was ‘checking’ up on us, making sure that we were all having fun and being part of the show. Very professional!
Without that interaction I could see ³⁄₅ solid, enjoyable for a one time to see the hype. Fun for a night!

We went to Pirate’s Dinner Adventure expecting a swashbuckling good time, and instead got double-​dutching pirates?
Let’s begin at the beginning. Pirates was running a $ 19 special in honor of Talk Like a Pirate Day, and to be honest – that’s what hooked me (no pun intended). $ 94 off the cost of two tickets for a date night? I’m game!
So the night starts off by pulling into the parking lot, which costs $ 5 (not too bad considering they give you a $ 5 off a $ 10 purchase in the gift store). We waited in a long and dark line outside (they didn’t turn the lights on until 8pm, so we waited in the darkness for almost 20 minutes). Once we got our tickets, we were ushered into this jam-​packed room of fellow diners and were forced to listen to pirates that were on microphones that were turned up far too loud.
The worst part about this room was how hot and stuffy it was. Every single person that has bought a ticket for the dinner show was stuck in this room with little to no space to even turn around (God forbid you needed to make your way to the restroom!). When it was finally time to enter the dinner area, we were actually told to push our way in! We were literally pushed by fellow diners into this «pirate ship» area that we were to eat in, and were encouraged to do so!
At this point, I already had a headache due to the sheer volume of the pre-​show pirates, but I figure, what the heck? Let’s continue with the experience!
We continued into the red portion of the pirate ship (as our tickets instructed us to do) and we were continually pushed and shoved by fellow diners – but honestly, could we blame them? Our pirate leader has literally told us to do this.
Once seated, we were in the middle of a row where the only way out would be to ask 5 – 6 people in either direction to exit the row so that we may leave to use the bathroom, etc.; not exactly the style I was hoping to eat in. Can we say fire hazard?
The show began, and it was even louder than the pre-​show. I swear that female pirate’s microphone must have been set to ‘ear piercing.’ It seems that we were to cheer for our specific pirate, and this is pretty much all we did for the remainder of the evening.
A (rather bland) communal salad was passed around, and honestly, it was the highlight of the meal. We were given one glass of Budweiser beer, and when we asked for a refill were told we couldn’t have any (although we watched other servers in different areas refilling their customer’s glasses), and were handed a coke.
We did our best to watch and follow the show, but it wasn’t very well written. A dinosaur egg? A captured princess? A children’s boat race? Women from the audience treasure hunting? And singing. Lots and lots (of LOUD!) singing. Nothing seemed to blend or make sense.
Our dinner was served, and it was meat on a stick, which we were looking forward to! However, my boyfriend’s meat on a stick was all cartilage and fat! Throw that together with trying to eat in the dark (there was honestly no light at all in the back row) and this just led to him spitting it out and going hungry and unsatisfied. My meat wasn’t as fatty, so the two of us ended up sharing one meal.
Eventually we asked our waitress if she could get us a beer (since we already knew it «wasn’t included») and that we would pay for it, and she actually told us no! So I asked the 5 people to my right to get up, and they shimmied out of the row, and I shuffled through the red and yellow ‘crews’ back out to the bar. There I was told that they only had Bud Light left, and it was $ 8 for a refill (I neglected to mention we had purchased $ 14 souvenir drinks during the loud and obnoxious pre-​show). I kindly thanked the bartender and walked back in to the very noisyyyyyyy show, where now the pirates were doing backflips, somersaults, and… jumping rope?! Who knew pirates did double dutch in their spare time?!
Dinner was just being picked up, and I’d like to tell you how dessert was, but alas, I can not. We decided to leave as our headaches were not worth the combined $ 38 we spent on the experience (not counting the $ 5 parking and $ 28 drinks in souvenir glasses).
I don’t know who I would ever tell to head over to Pirate’s Dinner Adventure… We had a miserable time and tickets were on sale! Typically people pay upwards of $ 65 to go to this crammed, noisy, and rather bland event… Mind, blown.

HORRIBLE FOOD. The service and management of this place is the worst of the worst. We walked out on the show because it was so bad. The waitress is overworked and has too many guests to take care of. The food was so nasty that I was starving and did not even eat half of it. It is completely dark while you try and eat chicken with bones in it. The beef kabobs are discussing with a gross sauce and the brownie and ice cream is hard and no flavor. Basically the food is worth $ 4 and you pay an arm and leg for the experience. One last thing they hit everyone with is $ 5 to park. This place is horrible.

We went on a Sunday for the musketeers show. I would have rather been robbed by a hooker and beat up by her pimp!!! How you doin!!! Wish the boat would have sank and captain jack sparrow would have showed up with the kraken to destroy this place!!! If Leonardo de caprio was dead he would roll over in his grave and come back to life and kill the musketeers!!! We haven’t even eaten
Yet can’t wait for that swill!!! We are locals came here on our anniversary wife so pissed at me might divorce me after this place!!! If your a tourist say away please !!! 0 ok food was bad as show was!!! I was hoping captain jack sparrow was gonna show up with the black pearl and save us!!!

Great show, excellent choice of food, very friendly service. It is all family show, really recommend for any Orlando visitor. The reservation service is excellent.

We are in Orlando on family vacation with our 6 year old and 1.5 year old sons. Cannot say enough about this experience. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Orlando! 10 times better than Medieval Times, no joke.
We paid for the VIP experience and it was absolutely worth it. Our 6 year old was taken out to be a part of the show three different times. These are priceless memories for him!
The 1.5 year old laughed and clapped along the whole time. Plenty of singing, aerobatics, banging, etc to keep a toddler captivated.
The food was better than expected although that is not why we came. The VIP appetizer spread was very nice.
Bring $ 5 cash for parking.
The pre-​show might be a way for them to make more money BUT it’s also a way to get everyone in the ‘pirate mood’ and hyped up about the show! The souvenirs are reasonably priced (I spent $ 5 on two children’s pirate hats).
Forget all of these butt hurt ‘my food was not 5 star quality’ reviews. Those people are clearly angry in life and don’t know how to have a good (wholesome) night out! Get into the show, sing along, clap and cheer! After all, that’s what you’re paying for!

The quality of the performers ranges greatly, some are genuinely impressive, but the few really bad ones stand out. The food is more «fodder» than cuisine. It’s served like airplane food, and has all the taste and quality too. In fairness, the chicken was half a bird, so the portion size was good, but a large serving of bad food is still bad food.
The show was too long, and complicated. I honestly found myself drifting in and out, so I don’t think a child would be engaged the whole time.
I disliked the pre-​show trap you are penned in, with tacky souvenirs at outrageous prices, and similarly badly priced drinks at the bar. They know that most people are there with kids, and there’s nothing to do but look at the overpriced stuff for sale.
We won’t be going back in a hurry. Some of the chicks were hot, that’s why they got 2 stars from me, instead of just one :-)

I booked our tickets on
. It was a fabulous deal — $ 19 per person. If you can get that deal, it is worth every penny. I called first and the receptionist advised me to book off of living social, which is unfortunate since LS keeps a good portion of the ticket price. I took my 8 yr old and he has said several times that they should have more of the Pirates Dinner Adventure’s throughout the country. That is a really good sign. I would not recommend ordering the kids dinner unless your child is under 4. I did not, and my son enjoyed the chicken, rice and vegetables and the dessert. They make a great effort in involving the children.
The after dance party was also great fun and added value to the experience.

Worth it only if you get a discounted ticket!!! Use code: ALS15 during Feb. 2015 to get a $ 35 Adult ticket and $ 5 will be donated to the ALS Association Florida Chapter. There was also a $ 3 handling fee so after tax, one adult ticket was $ 40.47. Gratuity for the servers is not included in the ticket price– $ 5 per adult, $ 3 per child.
Keep in mind, you are paying for the show not the food. The food is totally decent but not if you only consider the ticket price as paying for the food… which is why I say think about it as paying for the show. The cast are professional actors, stuntmen, singers and acrobats (you would pay more to see a Cirque show or a play at Bob Carr and there is no food there).
Here is the rundown of the Pirate experience.
Logistics
Parking is $ 5 and is right next to the building. They give you a $ 5 coupon for the gift shop you can use if you spend $ 10 or more.
Arrive at least 45 minutes before showtime. There was a pretty decent line to check-​in which wasn’t the fastest moving. There is also a little pre-​show (which we missed part of) while you are waiting inside for the show to start.
Bring a jacket if you tend to get cold. The show area was chilly (I was okay with a sweater and no jacket but my friend was freezing with her jacket on).
Before The Show
They will ask to take your photo. You don’t have to. I don’t know how much it costs to buy but I heard someone say something about $ 30 (yikes!). You can have a cocktail, get a souvenir at the gift shop area and watch the pre-​show. We missed part of it but we did see a little bit of acrobatics and introduction to some of the characters.
Food
Appetizer: You get a choice of a tomato soup or salad (basic mix like at Olive Garden) w/​Ranch or Italian dressing
Entrée: Beef Kabob or Roasted Chicken– both come with rice and vegetables. I had the beef which had good flavor and was tender (could’ve used some kind of sauce though) and my friend had the chicken (which was half a chicken like Boston Market) she said was good
Dessert: A brownie (more like cake) with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce
Beverage Choices: Water, Pepsi or Beer… There is a cash bar when you walk in before you get into the show area if want an alternate cocktail (not sure if they have non-​alcoholic options out there)
The Show
Audience participation is a must! Much like Medieval Times, you are seated in a colored section which represents your pirate and you cheer for your pirate throughout the show (and heckle the other pirates).
The show really has it all… cheesy plot line (save the princess, fall in love with the princess, capture the bad guy), sword fighting, aerial acrobatics, trampoline stunts, stage fighting, rope swinging (they are pirates after all), singing, audience participation, humor and a giant dragon!
At one point there is a pirate competition and they take audience members to help them compete (running flags, throwing treasure, hoisting sails on the ship). All of the kids are brought onto the stage to become honorary pirates in a pirate ceremony.
After The Show
They had a dance party. Yes, you read that right! The pirates were in the pre-​show area dancing to the Cha-​Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle and some other stuff. Disco ball and colored lights, too! I took this opportunity to seek out our pirate (Cutthroat Jack, the Red Pirate) and take my photo with him. Other guests were taking photos with their pirates, too.

Muitas pessoas me aconselharam a nao ir nesse jantar porque era muito chato, e o preço nao valia para assistir auqilo. Mas mesmo assim acabei indo, quem ta a cuhva é pra se molhar né?
E o show acabou superando as minhas expectativas! O unico problema é que voce precisa saber um pouco de ingles, porque o show é praticamente 70% de dialogo, entao se voce nao entende nada do que eles estao falando, voce fica perdidinho e acaba achando chato. O ponto mais interessante do show é que é interativo, voce participa de uma disputa de piratas que vai definir o vencedor de acordo com a velocidade do grpo. Há uma rapida lutinha entre os piratas (bem fingida por sinal, nao se assemelha nenhum pouco com a realidade), e depois uma participação especial das criancas que estao na plateia.
É servido tambme um jantar, onde voce tem a opçao de comer porco ou camaarao com molho, que era muito deliciooso por sinal! Acho que meus 70u$ valeram só pelo prato rss.
Os caras que servem o jantar tem que correr pra servir todos os pratos, perguntar uq cada um quer, e ainda participar do show fazendo as dacinhas e etc.
Depois tem uma festazinha para terminar de curtir a noite, na minha ocasiao como so tinha brasileiros as musicas eram todas do brasil mesmo, mas nao sei como é em dias comuns.
O show em si é muito legal, vale a pena para quem esta em orlando e quer sentir um pouco do espirito da disney. Nao é a melhor atração da cidade, mas é bem interssante.
