Description

Specialties

At Dragonfly Orlando, we passionately embrace Izakaya — to seek and deliver savory, artful, authentic dishes and experiences shared with friends, family and neighbors. We seek to push Japanese beyond sushi and toward expanding your palette.

Since 2010, we have served the Orlando area and are committed to crafting new flavors while preserving the culture of authentic Japanese cuisine. We welcome you to join a table with others. Choose from one of our carefully crafted favorites like our Braised Short Ribs, Crispy Kurobuta (black pork belly with braised daikon and carrot), or our Shari Risotto prepared with shimeji mushrooms. We are constantly reminded to celebrate food, drink and life. From door to table. From the sea and the farm. We invite you to truly immerse yourself in our finest work.

Kaizen — it is our motivation and pursuit to always improve. It means fish flown in from Japan, fresh ingredients and a belief that our reputation rests on the creativity and integrity of every dish we so humbly share with you.

History

Established in 2010.

Founded in 2010, Dragonfly Orlando is inspired by the idea of creating cultural and meaningful experiences through unique twists on traditional Japanese cuisine. Started by Hirofumi P. Leung, a first generation Japanese-Chinese immigrant, and Song Y. Kim, a second-generation Korean immigrant, our goal is to introduce you to the culinary principles of the finest contemporary Japanese cuisine.

At Dragonfly, we passionately believe in the principle of Kaizen — to always be improving. It means to never settle and continue challenging ourselves and crafting creative dishes that bond our guests with not only those with whom they share a table, but with an immersive Japanese cultural experience. From farm and sea to plate, we look forward to sharing our passion — our joy — with you.
