Chocolate Kingdom-Factory Adventure Tour

First have to say — our guide Derrian was 5-​star, funny full of knowledge and energy. We paid full price but after talking afterwards found that there are coupons in many of the tourist brochures and if you use Groupon you only pay $ 10 (almost $ 7 per person savings). Now why only 3-​stars? The tour is not really a factory tour, there is the video, history, trivia, and tasting various samples (we loved that part). The «factory» portion of the tour is getting a quick presentation of how some of the equipment works, but it was not actually in a production line. If you pay for the personalized chocolate at the end of the tour, I was hoping they would actually have you help put the items in the mold, but you just watch as they do it for you. I can understand not putting the melted chocolate in the mold but it would have been nice to have at least the kids put the spoon full of topping in the mold to feel like they helped make it. Since there were 7 of us on the tour (2 kids, 5 adult), and we all paid full price we did not purchase anything more in the shop at the end, if we had of known about the Groupon or coupon savings it would have saved us about $ 40, we would have felt better about spending some more money in the shop.

This was so much fun and educational, made so especially by our guide Jordan! He was truly great and fun. I was surprised by the whole process and by all the samples along the way and don’t miss out on the Best Buy which is designing your own chocolate bar. Their chocolate truly is outstanding and good for you I highly recommend this experience!

This is a great place to visit for kids of all ages! Our tour guide Sonya was fantastic! She did a wonderful job making our tour both informative and fun! It also doesn’t hurt that there chocolate is probably some of the best I’ve ever tasted! That being due to the fact that it is made fresh right there on premises and doesn’t have any added preservatives! We all purchased a make your own chocolate bar with our tour. But by the end of the tour we realized that one was not enough so we bought two! This is definitely worth an hour of your time to go and visit while you are in Orlando!

I loved the Chocolate Kingdom! Our tour was led by Darrien and she was amazing! She made the tour so much fun with her energy and knew so much about the origin of chocolate and the process it goes through. All the samples given were amazing and I even got to make my own chocolate bar! They had a large assortment of different chocolates for sale. The place itself was beautiful and clean and we had an amazing time. We will definitely be back and ordering their chocolate online!

As my birthday is Christmas Eve, my boyfriend not only surprised this Philly girl with a trip to Orlando for the week, but he also surprised me with a trip to visit the illustrious Chocolate Kingdom! This facility houses some of the best chocolate that you’ll taste, and with a storefront, museum and factory contained within one building, there is much to see, do and taste. Once you enter their doors, you’ll automatically glimpse their chocolate display station, with some of that divine Cocoa goodness exhibited behind glass, while a few steps further in, you’ll see a shelf featuring awe-​inspiring designs of chocolate molds, their homemade truffles, Chocolate liqueur, Roasted and Sugared Cocoa beans for sale and more! My BF actually paid for us to take the tour through the museum and factory, and I won’t go through every detail of that event, but I will say, our tour guide Robert, was super animated, articulate, funny, vibrant and truly knew his stuff when it came to discussing the history of the Cocoa bean and the legacy of the Chocolatiers through which the Chocolate Kingdom was founded. As you go through the tour, you get to hear of and sample the Cocoa bean through various methods and processes that were particular to the generation and culture that encountered it, which makes the history come alive (and its utterly delicious)! At the end of the tour, you have the option of customizing a chocolate bar for your particular taste or as a gift for someone else. Feeling adventurous, and knowing Im not a big fan of dark chocolate, I decided to create a dark chocolate bar with Cayenne pepper and almonds *I know it sounds crazy!* Jessica, the lovely lady who created my bar, reminded me that chocolate served in stores usually comes with additives that makes it bitter or not taste as good, and gave me tips on finding quality chocolate (including what they produce of course). I was glad I stepped outside the box, because that chocolate bar was AWESOME! lol. If you have a few hours, whether its you and your S.O. or your family (children would love it), please visit the Chocolate Kingdom. Everyone was so kind and helpful, you will truly feel like royalty by the end of the tour!
BTW: Ive been craving another one of my customized chocolate bars and would happily order another chocolate bar from them, but I don’t know if they have the option of creating one once your done with the tour. If anyone has any info, that would be appreciate :-)

Great tour for the kids. Robert was the most knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide ever. He made the experience quite enjoyable. Nice way to spend some time on a rainy.

I’m a little delayed in writing this review as I went late last summer. This establishment was just starting out and there were only 5 people in our tour. (I went with a group of 3 adults.) Our tour guide (forgot her name, Erica?) was very knowledgeable and perky. She delivered facts on point along with an «interactive» cartoon video that helps make the tour fun for both kids and adults. You get to taste chocolate along the way and even get to play a small game of catapulting marshmallows into a cartoon character dragon’s mouth. You also learn a lot of detailed facts (delivered in a fast and friendly manner) and well placed jokes that keep your interest.
I would definitely recommend this establishment to all. Everyone was very friendly from the cashier to the staff in the back making the chocolate, especially our guide. I even saw the owner and was able to take a picture with him.
The only negative was that I purchased a «make your own chocolate bar» where you select the type of chocolate along with up to 3 different add-​ons for $ 6, gifted it to someone back home and later found out that I was given the wrong chocolate even though it had my name on it with the selections marked. I ordered reg. choc. w/​caramel, white chocolate chips and something else. Unfortunately the person who I gave it to, told me they took a bite out of it, and it was something else completely different from what was ordered — hazelnut (he hates hazelnut) and rice crispies. It ended up being thrown away since neither of us like that combo. Not sure how it could have been mixed up in any way as there were only 5 people in our entire tour and the chocolate makers have a paper with the order in front of them with clear check marks next to the items you choose. Luckily neither of us have nut allergies.
The entire operation otherwise was flawlessly executed and well rehearsed. Our tour guide and the female staff at the cash register were very friendly. The lobby/​entrance area has tons of different chocolate to choose from. This is a small family owned store that makes chocolate the old fashioned way with the hand dipping into a liquid chocolate vat just like that famous episode with Lucile Ball in «I Love Lucy». No huge automated machinery to spew out mass produced chocolate.
I did go to The World of Chocolate (not too far away) the very next day and took a tour there as well. It is not too from this establishment, maybe 10 min drive away. That place had the exact same set up but had a more commercial feel. The tour guide delivered less information and did not cover even ½ the information that Chocolate Kingdom delivered. Maybe it was an off day for the guide but the Australian tour guide there didn’t sound too enthusiastic and would disappear from time to time to leave us in the room to browse around or taste chocolate. Btw for a «World of Chocolate», they overpromised but under delivered. I expected to taste a variety of chocolate but it seemed like they only offered the 3 commercially known chocolate company tasting (Valrhona, Vosges and one other one I forgot.) I had some of those before and was not impressed.
Ok, I’ve digressed but essentially if you have to go to one or the other, definitely go to the Chocolate Kingdom.

Wow!!! This is what I’m talking about. I totally didn’t expect it, but this is definitely an establishment that cares. If I can give them 6 stars I would — my 1^st and only 6 stars in Unilocal.Edgar S. (the son and one of the owners) reached out to me and sent me a «make your own chocolate bar» via USPS. I’m taking my niece there next time I’m in Orlando. You guys have won me over even more.

A very nice tour about the process of chocolate, history, harvest and tasting along the way. The tour guide Erica was very enthusiastic and interacted with the video storyline to give a complete tour. Well thought out to engage children and adults. The 45 minutes included video, displays samples and all questions are answered by guide. The quality of the chocolate was very good and there is no hard sell when you end in the store.
This location also offers a party room and would likely by a great place for birthdays.
We had time to spend before our flight and I would highly recommend this tour. Coupons for $ 2 off can be found all along I drive.
