No appointment was needed, just walked in with my 8yr old daughter.
I told them that my dealership priced my oil change at $ 49.95, Pep Boys originally priced it at $ 76. (Synthetic oil is more expensive) and they matched the competitions price!!!
I was done in 30 min too!!!
Wish their waiting room was a bit cleaner/​nicer.
Will def go back!

I had a 9am appointment to get my tires changed. They told me it would take an hour. My car was not ready until 12:45pm. There were no other customers when I dropped my car off and still no customers when they finally said it was ready for pick up. So they didn’t seem like they were too busy. And when I asked why it took so long, they didn’t have any answer. Unacceptable. No wonder no other customers were there.

Service is slow, I have an 8am appointment, here it is 8:45am and my car is still sitting in the parking lot. Like I have lots of time on hand. It really is bad customer service. It’s now 9am and nothing. Time to leave.

With having problems with my battery, I stopped at this Pep Boys and George the Manager assisted me so kindly with getting a new battery. I appreciate him for doing that. I needed my battery bad. Thanks to George I’m riding again.

Been coming here for many years now. Unfortunately, the service has declined terribly. The store is understaffed and undertrained with no one able to answer even simple questions. avoid this store lime the plague.

we called on Monday was told to just show up tomorrow for battery install. on Tuesday at 1;00 said cant see us until4:00 Could of made that appt. over the telephone. showed up at 4 told to come back at 5:30,.didnt call us to inform us. Place is completely unorganized. I have no trust in there abilities, they can’t even schedule people. go to Sears or auto zone this place is a nightmare and don’t deserve your money..

Do not come here. Dishonest people and everyone has an attitude. On top of that they will rape you with their prices. Go somewhere else for a honest opinion. Too many other shops to go to to have to put up with dishonesty and bad service… fail

Was told to come in between 8 and 830 and I’ll be in an out for a problem that they failed to fix last time I was here months ago. its now 12 15 been here and still has yet to be looked at and other people that came in later have come and gone… not happy, spend a lot of money here don’t know if I’ll come back.

It’s Easter Sunday and my battery died. Pep Boys was there with a hard to find battery for my 2003 CTS. I was in and out in twenty minutes which bodied well for the cream cheese based appetizer I was bringing to dinner. Thank you for the great and peppy service!

Just had a very pleasant experience with everyone in the service department, came in for an oil change on my company car and they knew I was on a tight schedule and they got me in and out in a hurry.

went there because we could not get car into regular shop and car was making loud knocking noise when put into reverse. they told us it needed new coil clutch compressor. it was going to cost almost $ 2,000.00 to have them repair. we decided to wait and get another opinion. we got into dealer a week later and the found it to be a belt that Pep boys had installed improperly. repair cost less than $ 200 at dealership.
what 2^nd opinion dealer gave us in 5 minutes, pep boys could not achieve correctly in 3 days. Never again!

I have been going to this Pep Boys with all of my cars for many years now. I only let one mechanic work on my cars. His name is Chuck. He is the nicest, professional, patience and most honest mechanic I have ever dealt with. I have never had anything go wrong again with the part he fixed on my car. Jason is another person that is great here. He works the desk and will do anything he can to help you out. He is very professional and very nice. He takes his time and explains what is going on with your car. I will never take my car anywhere else! Thanks Chuck and Jason!

and wanted to know more about my complaint. Clicked on the link and it did not work. Searched it all I got was their web site advertising their sales.

It’s not often that I find myself compelled to post a review. Typically, we see post after a negative experience. However, I’ve had nothing short of a great experience at this facility. Whenever I have an issue with any of my vehicles, I always receive honest feedback and expedient service.
The manager, Jim Smilor, is an absolute profession and goes above and beyond the call of duty to satisfy the customer. I often recommend him to friends and family.

The Pep Boys team did it again! They beat every other price in town for my winter maintenance and also gave me the best price on tires. Another competitor tried to tell me that I needed yada, yada, yada… and gave me a quote of useless service repairs that even the Lexus dealer said was bogus.
The guys at Pep Boys are honest and don’t try to upcharge you or scare you into bogus claims that your car needs this or that. They save me a ton of money from going to someone else or my dealership.
Also they have the best selection of auto parts and accessories in the Orland area.

I stopped in Friday morning October 19^th at Pep Boys Orland Park, the day my son was to drive his «new» 2003 Dodge he purchased the day before to Atlanta. They found many questionable items with brakes and steering and John made it all work to get him safely on his way that afternoon. Thanks again for great trustworthy service Jim S.

Sadly, corporate decided to move Jim S. and Ron, then Katie left service. the place isn’t the same. Now I get a «guard» with an attitude shoving the oil log in my face to sign when I bring in a gallon of used oil. Yes, I know the procedure.
I have found that there is now no personality behind the service counter anymore, the crew I came to know well for years is gone due to a new manager that decided what will work better than years of prior success. Well it doesn’t work that way. If it «ain’t» broke don’t fix it. I’ve spent thousands there on my seven older cars, both labor and parts.
It’s a different environment now, time for me to move on too. Thanks to Jim S and his service crew of John, Ron and Katie, where ever you are.

These guys keep a wide variety of auto parts and tools in stock. I used to do business off and on with these guys just because they were the closest auto shop.
The prices are a bit higher than Wal-​mart and Autozone. It seems that whenever any type of customer service is required, things tend to get weird from not honoring sale ad items or exaggerated sale ad items, to waiting 40 minutes so a mechanic can get off a break so he can dump my oil into a drum while the clerk stands there, to some clerks who have better things to do than answer a question about a service.
Save yourself a hassle and go to a much more hospitable place with better prices.
