Established in 2010.

Lila Kayali founded Intellect Learning Center after teaching in the United States and abroad. She also worked in several tutoring companies while obtaining her Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology and Research. Her mission was to start a tutoring center that helped students gain confidence and advanced skills for success in the real world. Intellect Learning Center makes learning interesting and helps students develop problem solving skills.

Intellect Learning Center was founded in 2010 by educators with a vision: to create an educational environment where students acquire the skills and confidence to reach their full academic potential. The director and co-​founder, Lila Kayali, received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and later graduated with her Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology and Research from the University of Memphis. While at the University of Memphis, Lila worked as program coordinator for Memphis Teaching Fellows, an organization that hires and trains teachers to work in high-​need schools. Her research focused on student motivation and the important role that teachers play in maintaining student focus and attention. She has taught and tutored all grade levels. Throughout her career, she realized the great impact that one-​to-​one tutoring can have on students of all ages.
