Anytime Fitness

I’m doing another review just because I talked with someone else who just joined and in talking about what we like about AF, I was reminded about how much I like this place. The staff, although recently with a lot of changes, are always friendly and so low key! This place is always comfortable and inviting. It never smells like a gym and it never has an intimidating feel, like some gyms do. Sometimes it can be crowded and you may have to wait for a piece of equipment but never for too long and the other members are friendly and low key, too.
They now have group classes for an additional cost and are offered at a variety of times.

I started going here because my brother in law gave me a 2 month membership deal he found on Groupon and it’s perfect for me because it has all the equipment I need and I like going at the most random times but your membership key gives you 24 hour access to go whenever! I got the tanning package because even if you just go twice in a month, it’s already paid for itself. I was worried about being there by myself if there wasn’t any staff but they have the option to have this emergency necklace that phones the police right away and you can also take with you and it reaches pretty far… just don’t forget to bring it back!

New to the area and was looking for a good gym to enroll in. Anytime fitness is the only 24 hour gym in the area which works perfectly with my schedule. Great staff, clean gym, small but still has all the essentials you need.

Amazing gym! Love the positive atmosphere and updated equipment. This gym is kept very clean and I love it over any other gym I’ve been to!

Was visiting the area and needed a good workout. Looked on Unilocal for guest friendly gyms that were open late. Anytime Fitness popped up advertising being open ²⁴⁄₇ and a free 7 day guest pass.
So I slammed a Speed Stack (200mg caffeine) and headed down there at 9pm (15 min drive from hotel) to take advantage of the offer. When I arrived, the gym door was locked, but people were working out…
I was able to get the attention of an employee who opened the door to greet me but wouldn’t let me in to workout. Apparently the gym manager was out of town and is the only one who handles guest passes. Lame!

I’ve been a member for 2yrs, seemed like a great idea at the time, but now I regret it. I was told there would be other anytime fitness gyms opening up along the central coast, since I drive for work I thought this would be great. 2yrs later no other anytime fitness gyms have opened up.
Pros: Great equipment, Nice Staff, Clean, Well Lighted (Outside). Cons: Lack of Parking, No Lockerrooms to change and LOCK your belongings, Just as expensive as any of the other gyms, no other Anytime gyms to go to along the central coast.

Wow. I can’t believe this place. I guess being in workout clothes makes the manager think she can talk down to you and inform you that she will ‘let’ you pay for a membership. Also, as I was informed, they are individually owned and don’t honor guest passes.
The lack of free weights and the extremely unfriendly staff leads me to believe that if you’re serious about fitness then seriously avoid this place. Go train at paragon Santa maria, do cross fit, or walk around your neighborhood or free. I will never suggest to anyone to workout here or support this business in any fashion.
Unless of course you’re just into being treated poorly.

Horrible service. Rudely dismissed by the overweight manager because it was the holiday season and she denied my 7 day pass. Although the website never mentioned anything about not being able to use the 7 day pass during this time. She was very rude and told me I had to buy one. I will never return to this franchise and I will tell others not to go here. Thanks for nothing Anytime Fitness in Orcutt.

Did two people really decide to comment on the staff’s weight on their review’s of this place today (and give it one star as a result)? Isn’t that the problem with gym’s in the first place? The superhuman gym rats that just work out in a gym all day? Yeah, if that’s you, stay out. I want real people to work in my gym.
BTW, the same guy that commented on the staff’s weight and said, «do crossfit instead» wrote a review for a local taco place shortly after writing their review of this gym.
News flash: Taco’s aren’t paleo.
This is a great gym. Clean, private showers, maintained equipment, air conditioned, and FRIENDLY staff. Haven’t experienced a «gym bro» at this place. It’s great.

This gym is nice enough and the hours are obviously great but there are no free weights.
I think it was about $ 15-​$ 20 for a day pass when I went a while back.

One of the best gyms I’ve been to. Without a doubt the cleanest gym I’ve been to. They have excellent equipment and it’s open ²⁴⁄₇. They also have an excellent staff, everyone is very friendly and professional– great service! I highly reccomend Anytime Fitness Orcutt!

It is so nice when you walk into a gym and it looks/​smells clean. It is also very nice when you walk into a gym to get the sense that the owners care about their facility and its equipment. Anytime Fitness fits the description. I have only seen one piece of equipment «down». There was a sign on it to let the patrons know and, it was fixed the next day.
I also love that it is a 24 hr. facility. It is very convenient and conducive to those with a busy schedule.

They have the best trainers!
My husband and I used an 805 deal and got some personal training in September and October for a really good price.
My trainer Gina was willing to sit down with me and figure out a plan for me. I decided I wanted to learn proper lifting and she did that and more. I learned good technique and she corrected my form every time I did it wrong. I really appreciated that because I didn’t want to injure myself. Every training session was different and it was challenging. She also taught all about «foam rolling» which was new to me.
The gym itself is very clean and has cardio machines that work. There are also a lot of free weights and weight machines.

No one there on weekends or after hours, frequent lock outs.
Lockers are open (no lock) easy to get stolen from.
Get charged for secure pass.
Not worth it.
I called and they said I must be confused with another gym.
Total bs.

pick this place for two reason:
1) closest gym
2) open ²⁴⁄₇
have to love a gym open 24/​7, it is $ 60 w/​o a contract, with it is $ 40 but one thing i did not like is they charge an extra $ 11 for January and July so they can buy new equipment. and a total of $ 140 to join and that includes your key to be able to get in since it is a 24 hour gym

Love Anytime Fitness, just a great place to work out. At first I really was not using my membership because I could not find a rhythm but lately, I have been going and I appreciate the way it is set up. You go in and get your work out done and you go on about your day. No idle chit chat that holds up your time. Lots of tv’s and wi fi available, friendly staff and very clean. Glad I made the choice to join this gym.

This gym is FANTASTIC! The staff is so helpful and very nice. Another plus is that its 24 hrs, the equipment works great, and everything is super clean. The trainers are very motivating, and will give you a GREAT workout! The owner will help you with ALL your questions, and she can be easily contacted, its fantastic! I will highly recommend this gym to anyone!

This gym is super-​clean. All the equipment looks like it just came out of the box and works great!
Good lighting, good ventillation, and a great assortment of machines and freeweights.
The only thing i found lacking was that there are no lockers and I couldn’t find an EZ bar to save my life. There are a few slide-​out canvas cubbies though… under a counter. Just right to put your spongebob lunchbox in before heading off to naptime or recess…
Pros: Good equipment, well maintained and very clean. Not very crowded (I went at 8pm and had the place to myself). I don’t feel like the treadmill is about to explode under me, and having barbells pre-​weighted up to 110lb is definitely handy.
Cons: No lockers, the only personal storage makes you feel like a 3^rd grader. Not enough parking (the places around it have lots of traffic, so the very limited row of parking gets very full).

This is a great gym! Always clean, friendly owners, managers, and trainers. If you have a crazy schedule this gym is perfect because you can go 24hours. All of the machines have personal TVs on them. They have started offering small group classes (some free and some with a cost).
Gina is awesome! She’s my personal trainer (and my boot camp and tread and shed instructor). She keeps you motivated! I took a few months off around the holidays (like everyone does) and she continued to call/​text me to get my butt back to the gym.
They also have a tanning bed, personal restrooms with showers, a healthy choice vending machine, nutritional trainers, and a computer with internet to look up exercises on the Anytime website. The best part is that your key/​membership works at any of their branches (they even have one in La Pine, Oregon).
If you have been looking for a way to jump start a healthy lifestyle for a low cost I would definitely recommend checking out this gym! You can download a free pass from their website and try it out for a week.
