Zac came and diagnosed two problems with our pool/​spa. The spa heater was an easy fix/​solution and the booster pump for the polaris needed to be replaced, which was done the following day. Zac is reasonable, personable and super easy to work with, which is why he will be the first I call if I have any other pool equipment repair/​replace needs.

I called Zac for my pool floor cleaner that am having issues with and told him what’s going on… he was very nice and drove all the way to Lincoln witch is not his service area and took care of the problem. Very knowledgeable and knows a lot.

We’ve been using Bishop Pool Service for 2 years now. They keep the pool sparkling year round and are always helpful. I definitely recommend them to everyone, they know their stuff!

Our pool was green and had black mold growing in the corners. We tried for weeks to get it clean and then I decided to call Zac after reading his reviews.
He fixed it with some conditioner and a few other programming issues with the PDA. My husband was taught a few things and it is working great now.

I reached out to Zach because of all the great reviews, after I had several people out to help. Zach was great, responsive and got my solar working by replacing a booster pump that went bad and also diagnosed that the reason it went bad was due to faulty wiring when it had originally been installed. His price was under or near all the estimates I got, but his responsiveness and customer service, along with the reviews are what sold me. I will use Zach to replace a salt system in the spring!

I know this sounds like a boring review, the guy came out when he said he would, he did the work he said he would, he charged me like he said he would…
BUT — in todays world, someone telling you what they are going to do, and then doing it flawlessly is a rare find.

I had an issue with my pool motor making loud noises. I called Zach and he gave me some ideas of how to trouble shoot the problem on my own. After those attempts failed, he scheduled an appointment for me for a week out. Within a week, he was able to replace the ball bearings which fixed the noise issue. He also gave me good advice on how to avoid the issue in the future. I’ve used other pool companies in the past to help me with issues, but Zach by far has been the most reliable and honest. I would definitely use his company again.

Zach has been outstanding since we became connected. His response time is exceptional and his knowledge in repair and general maintenance has far exceeded our expectations. We needed to fix an issue with our skimmer not working, worried it would be a pump replacement. He was able to diagnose and repair the issue, without any increased expense. We would recommend Zach and his team to anyone because of his easy nature, outstanding customer service and attention to detail.

Fair, honest, and reliable. Zach was very knowledgeable and explained the issues I had with my pool system clearly so even I could understand! I fully recommend this young man.

Our pool pump broke. Our regular pool guy gave us an estimate to fix/​replace various components (approx 3k) but it seemed high. So we received a few bids and Zac was the fastest to return phone calls, sent quick text replies, and came on time. A strong start. He seemed very knowledgeable, was patient with our questions, and gave us a few options for how to proceed. He sent us an estimate by text within a few hours. We did have a lower bid than Zac but the guy seemed less knowledgeable and his product was cheaper (from our limited research). Zac gave us a better price than our pool guy by about 400 dollars. We researched the products from each bid and his seemed to be high quality. He wasn’t available for a week but came as scheduled and explained in detail the various components and how it worked when he was done. Overall, we were very pleased with the service. We will call him again when needed.

Zack Bishop is great! He is honest and hardworking and has helped me several times. Most recently he helped me find a part for old Hayward pump, so that it could be repaired. Woo hoo! This saved me several hundred $$$! Thanks Zack.

We decided to try this company after reading the numerous favorable reviews on Unilocal.Because of some scheduling conflicts and poor cell reception during our initial attempts, it took awhile before we were finally able to coordinate schedules and meet in person. The other reviews are accurate. Zach is extremely knowledgeable about pools, equipment, salt systems and solar. Although we initially set up this appointment as a consultation, Zach took the time to do a full service on our pool, including adding necessary chemicals, cleaning our salt system and reprogramming our auto-​chlorinator. He answered all of our questions and offered good advice/​recommendations.

I called Zach due to glass breakage in the pool. He said our home was out of his area, but referred me to another pool service closer to where we lived. It didn’t stop there. He called the other pool service and explained the problem we have so they would know to expect the call.
Sure enough, we called and they are coming out on a Saturday.

Just wanted to say we still call Bishop Pool Service for all of our our pool needs/​repairs. We live in Rocklin, and he’s never hesitated to come out and help us out. Our pool has solar, and a tahoe blue Pebble Tec finish. Zach is very reliable, reasonably priced, HONEST, and really knows his stuff. Been using him for over 2 years now, and have been very happy. Zach is doing a great job and actually takes the time to talk to customers in detail about their pool concerns.
I previously tried another company and ended up getting charged about $ 300 for nothing. Not to mention all the time wasted on phone calls and emails trying to get people to talk to me about it or show up to my house when they say they will.
Zach answered the phone and set a date to come out right away. He also told me up front what to expect as far as cost and some possibilities of what the issue could be, which was a big plus.
Zach came out when he said he would and did what he said he was going to do for the price we agreed upon. He explained what he did and went in to detail about what to watch for and possible next steps if the solution we tried didnt work. He also did a really good job, and the issue seems to be fixed now (fingers crossed).
A+ for customer service. We’ll see if the patch holds up, but even if it doesnt (not his fault), he gave me a loose estimate of what i would be looking at if i needed to have some more expensive work done. The biggest thing for me is that i could clearly see the quality of work and he was willing to talk to me about it.

After calling several other local pool companies (based on online and personal referrals), and never getting a call back, we found Bishop Pool Service on Unilocal.We called Zack and got a call back the next day. Zack came out to look at our pool –which was basically a swamp since our home was a short sale– and quoted us close to ½ of what we had heard pool clean up would cost. He was friendly and easy to work with, and our pool started looking good fast! We would absolutely continue with monthly service with Bishop Pool, but as new homeowners we are trying to DIY as much as possible. I highly recommend Bishop Pool Service!

Our entire pool system needed replacement including heater, filter and pump. I searched Unilocal and found Bishop. I made a call with was promptly returned by Zack. He came by in a couple of days and gave me an assessment of my needs, some options and an estimate. After checking prices I found his estimate to be fair and the wife agreed. I scheduled the work for later in the week. Zack and an employee were prompt and had my entire system in, tested and running in less than half a day. It is a very clean and professional install and all components are working great. He also has responded promptly to some text message questions from me. Gotta love service like that. I will post a pic of the install once I figure out how.
Oh, my wife wants me to mention Zack has beautiful eyes.

We were SO happy with the previous work Zack did in Dec, we called on him again to install a pool automation system for our combination pool/​spa. He installed a Pentair EasyTouch8 and did it in less then ½ a day. Install was clean and professional. It works GREAT and he even gave me some phone support when I had a few follow up questions. Our pool system is now automated as far as heating, filtering and running the cleaners and can also easily be switched from pool to spa with ever touching a valve. My wife loves that ease of use and so do I. We also added a ScreenLogic to the system ourselves and can now control our pool/​spa from our phones. Amazing technology.
Do not hesitate to call on Zack. He will take care of all your needs in a way I wish other business people would do.

I’m all about service people around the house. However after 4 failed pool services, I was wondering if a good one really existed! I met Zach while he was down the street servicing a neighbors pool.
What the heck I thought to myself… Seeing how I dislike taking care of my own pool (a tree and hedge lined nightmare). Zach showed up within the hour and explained to me what the real issues that were going on. He sent me a written bid with equipment model numbers and the full price (very fair in my world).
I took this info and quickly called a dear friend whose been servicing pools in the Marin area for 30 years, near San Francisco. She said it was exactly what she would have recommended knowing my pools odd requirements power wise and landscaped issues.
Zach da man, installed all new equipment at the price quoted. My pool has never looked better or run cheaper. Okay so Zach’s weekly service also has a lot to do with this! No more over spending on chemicals due to old (20 years) crappy inefficient equipment or an inefficient pool service person.
Zach has made my pool life go from «fill that freaking thing in» to «last one in makes cocktails» Thanks Zach… You ROCK!

We got in contact with the owner after realizing we had no idea what to do with our pool. We bought the house in the beginning of the year and aside from pulling out a few leaves, it didn’t really look like it needed anything else.
Until it started to get warm. The pool went from a nice light blue to a dark mossy green in what seemed like a week.
After a frantic run to Leslie’s Pool Supply with a sample, I was sold $ 100 worth of chemicals and a list of instructions to follow. Did as I was told and … nothing.
Still green. No pretty pool. Looked like a pond. Only missing ducks.
I called Zach Bishop and told him about the state of the pool and was quoted some ugly number. When he came to actually look at the pool, the price was cut in half (I supposed I might have embellished on the state of the pool when I was on the phone. No, there were no frogs sitting on lilly pads in it) and he promised he’d have it cleared up in a day or two.
He came to work on our pool twice over the span of three days and he had that thing sparkling. He warned me about the folks over at Leslie’s Pool Supply … they’re only good to go to if you know what you need. As far as advice? Skip it.
