Rowena made us such a beautiful wedding cake. She really worked with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. The process was really easy. Her cake is delicious and her tiramisu filling is beyond delicious! Our cake was a chocolate cake with tiramisu filling and a French buttercream. We have received so many compliments on how beautiful our cake was. Thanks Rowena!

One of the best cakes in town. I always order a cake here for all our parties and it is a crowd favorite… Love the mocha and almond cakes! Also try chocolate with raspberry filling and choc ganache! It sounds sweet but its just perfect! Not like those commercialized cakes you get from grocery stores. Reasonable price! Highly recommended for all occasions!!!

Rowena made my wedding cake for my wedding on August 9, 2014 and we were VERY pleased with the outcome. We had 3 choices of bakeries from our venue and went with Scrumptious because they had the best cake and Rowena made us feel we would be taken care of.
The cake was EXACTLY what I envisioned and she was very helpful with any changes. When we were sampling, we wanted a different filling from what she was offering and she ran into the back and whipped it up for us, so we could try it. We also wanted some additions to what the package deal offered and she worked with us to give us a good price for the upgrade.
Overall, we were thrilled with how the cake looked and tasted. For me, the taste of the cake was one of the most important things and we were definitely pleased. I would happily use Rowena and Scrumptious again for another big event.

Scrumptious did an excellent job of recreating the kitten on the invitation that I designed. I wanted «Baby Cat» sitting atop the cake with little blue paw prints and baby toys around the bottom. I also had my heart set on a pumpkin spice cake since the shower was in the middle of November. Other bakeries didn’t offer pumpkin as flavor option, but SWC did offer it.
Cake decoration was perfect, and the cake itself was delicious. My neighbor said «I never eat fondant, but I ate this fondant because it was sweet.» She was right, the fondant tasted like a marshmallow and I ate every last bite. Cake was moist and perfectly pumpkin, not too sweet, just the right balance.
I’ll definitely call Rowena again next time I need a specialty cake make. Points for a great tasting cake and great decorating skills.

My sister ordered her wedding cake with Rowena. I paid for the cake and confirmed a $ 0 balance on her account. Days before the wedding Rowena called my sister and advised we owed more money since her cake required tiers. We advised the quote was all inclusive (per Rowena) and the company wouldn’t budge. Way to add more stress to a brides wedding day. The cake wasn’t anything special and they didn’t add any coloring to the top tier as promised. Not worth over $ 400, you can find better cakes for better prices without all the drama. Take your business elsewhere. BEWARE!

If you are just getting a regular birthday or wedding cake, then this place is fine. The cake isn’t as nearly as good as when this was part of Colette’s Catering (the cake used to be amazing), but it is good. However, if you are looking for something more unusual, or a sculpted cake, then definitely don’t come here.
I asked the question, «Can you make a cake in the shape of a company logo?» The answer was, «Yes.» What I should have asked was, «Can you make a cake in the shape of a company logo AND DO IT WELL.» Judging from the cake I received last week for my event, the answer would have been (or should have been), «No.»
All I wanted was a sheet cake that had a large number «10» cut out (basically, cake in the shape of a number 10) with a banner and lettering across it and then a rectangle of cake with more lettering. Nothing too complicated — I wasn’t asking them to make a guitar or a building or a person’s head or anything. I just wanted something more impressive than a regular sheet cake — I wanted something to be a centerpiece for my event.
What I got was a total embarrassment. It was misshapen, oddly put together, and amateurish. It looked like a DIY disaster. Or like the bakery decided to let some school kids try their hand at baking a cake and my order was their project. There was no indication that anyone with any sort of creativity or skill worked on this cake. I wish they had told me that they couldn’t do this — I would have saved myself hundreds of dollars and just gone with a regular sheet cake with my logo printed on edible paper applied to the top. At least then it would have looked decent.
The cake tasted fine and it was delivered at the right place at the right time. But honestly, it was so ugly, no one wanted to eat it. I was mortified. Stick with wedding and birthday cakes and know your limitations.

Rowena was a pleasure to work with. It was cool she was able to do my wedding cake for me because she also did my mother’s wedding cake 11 years ago. My family has been going to Rowena for years for special occasions. The cake was very yummy, very moist and beautiful. I chose all chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and chocolate ganache filling. My florist flaked with my cake flowers but Rowena surprisingly used flowers from an extra bouquet I had at the venue and made it look pretty anyway.

Rowena did a great job decorating our wedding cake and using the colors we picked in our consultation with her. We had two options from our venue, we picked her as our vendor cause the cakes were more tasty. Thank you Rowena!

Scrumptious was one of the two places our wedding venue had to choose from for wedding cakes, I originally thought I wanted the other place and was bummed they were not available for our weekend. However, I believe this ended up being to our benefit. I couldn’t imagine a better cake! We also picked two flavors I never thought I would’ve had for my wedding cake. One was Chocolate Strawberry marble and the other was Lemon both with the white chocolate cream cheese frosting. Everyone that had cake had mentioned how good it was whether they had the chocolate or lemon. I personally didn’t eat any until 3 days later since we were able to take the top home, after 3 days it was still so delicious. I couldn’t believe it was still good! Rowena was very easy to deal with and our cake was absolutely beautiful. I am thinking of ordering a cake just because since it was that good and I love cake!

You guys hit the nail on the head… We got so many compliments on how good the cake was and you heard what we wanted on the cake theme «DAVID vs. Goliath» and delivered more than what we expected… People complimented the extra intricate detail you put in!

After having a horrible experience at another bakery, our hotel recommended us to try Scrumptious Wedding Cakes. We made an appointment with Rowena to cake taste, and choose what look we wanted for our wedding cake. I was very hesitant about cakes ever since our experience at the other bakery, but we had such a wonderful experience! Rowena was very thorough, honest, and even drew out what our cake would look like so we could visualize it. Also the cake was delicious (and I am not a cake person). We had a hard time choosing which two flavors we wanted because they were all so good! Don’t be fooled by the outer exterior of the shop, I can’t wait to see my cake for my wedding this July! Thanks Rowena for being so sweet and taking the stress off my shoulders!

Rowena was great to work with! She responded to all my emails promptly which is all I can really ask for.

I just saw and tasted the BEST looking wedding cake I’ve ever seen!.. And im sooooo HAPPY its my wedding cake!!! Thanks to Rowena!!! It looked better than what we imagined… I asked her to make the cake tall (taller than my groom) and impressive and she gave me more than that!!! I loved every detail of it. I also loved the color! Initially we wanted the cake to be all white… However Rowena recommended to change the color to Navy Blue to make the cake stand out more. Good thing I listened to her because it definitely made it Stand Out… We got chocolate hazelnut with butterfinger and Neopolitan with raspberry filling and both were great! Everyone loved and even brought home some leftovers.
We also had a Dessert Bar! and it was so yummy. We ordered French macaroons, cake pops, tiramisu, mango loco, strawberry mousse, fruit tarts, Almond jelly and more… And I loved the way it was decorated. It looked so elegant! Everyone loved it!

First off, this place is kind of tricky to find. So give yourself a bit of extra time to get there, in case you get lost (like I did). Once you park, the place from the outside looks kind of like one of those old shops from the late 80’s. nothing too boast about… BUT we didn’t come there for exterior décor. We came there for our wedding cake, and we are so glad we did!!! The cake tasting was fun :) we tried lots of different flavors, we mixed and match fillings and finally found what worked for us.
We ended up having Rowena make a six-​tier, round wedding cake with three-​inch spacers between each layer. Between each layer we had tons of white roses (I think 6 dozen in total plus 2 dozen carnations to fill any additional gaps). Our entire cake was white, no color what-​so-​ever… because the inside was bright PINK!!! haha it was fun, and tasted amazing! We went with the whipped crème-​type frosting on the outside (we mutually hate standard frosting as we find it to be too sugary and thick — we also are not fans of fondant). The pink cake inside was strawberry in flavor and then had some sort of raspberry purée for a filling. It was great and exactly what we wanted! (I will post pictures when I get them from the photographer).
So go to Rowena at Scrumptious Wedding Cakes, she’s a sweetheart and will do all she can to make you the cake you’re dreaming of. Her prices aren’t too bad and since she’s a small private business, she gives you the attention that most big companies fail to deliver… she makes you feel like you’re more than just a number to her :)

Rowena really helped me out during a time when I was in a big jam. I needed to get a «Disney Theme» cake for my son’s first birthday and all the cake locations I called, or knew about, required at least 3 to 4 days lead time. It was Friday and I needed a cake by Sunday morning.
I found this business through Google Maps and thankfully, Rowena saved the day. Cake looked awesome. I bought the cake toys, brought them to her, and she really put some creative thought to the cake design. Glad to see that she didn’t just rush the job, given that it was a last minute order.
Glad I took my business to her and will use her again for future custom cake needs.

Rowena was the lady who helped me with my wedding cake, they offered us great options and worked with my budget. They nailed exactly what I wanted and had excellent communication.

OMG what a nightmare!!! My wedding was canceled but even before that happened I was completely disappointed with her and ready to give up my deposit and find someone new (actually I had, I was going to use Rockwell’s Bakery or Amazing Cakes).
Her shop looked a little shady from the outside, but I was an out of town bride and a friend had used her before, so I kinda let that slip.
First off, my design was not any cake design you hadn’t seen in a grocery store, except for the fact it was three layers tall. The top and bottom were plain with no decoration, the middle was supposed to have horizontal lines (you know, when the cake decorator gets a tool and spins the cake once to create some lines). She looks straight at me and tells me that even the most simplest desgin is more complicated than you think, and so she would have to charge me more per slice (even though she claimed simple designs would be charged base price). I don’t even MIND paying more per slice, but she lied straight to me and I felt disgusting after I’d left.
The cake I tasted was only ok. It made me disappointed because I had some of her cake at a friend’s wedding (the butterfinger flavor) and it was delicious, but when I got in to her place the three cakes I tasted were only ok.
Not only that, but after I had met with her, I saw my married friend at a party whose mother admitted to me that Rowena had also gouged her daughter, which ws a pity because they thought she had really good cakes.
Cut to the end of my dealings with this woman. My fiancé canceled the wedding just 9 days before it was to happen (I know … I went to Rockwell’s a little late but they were still willing to make my cake last minute).
She had no idea who I was and kept claiming there was a «contract» that said the deposit was nonrefundable. I didn’t want a refund. I had deposited $ 120 and all I wanted was a $ 120 dollar cake instead of the other two cakes I had ordered from her for hundreds more. Rowena said the money was only to reserve the date, and that it wasn’t in this mythical «contract» she’d made up. I didn’t sign a contract, I signed an INVOICE. There was no contract, and if there were I should have had a copy of it.
I can’t believe anyone would tell so many blatant lies to my face.
Honestly, I think that out of all my wedding vendors (who have been just amazing and so supportive in this exceedingly difficult time), she was the most shady.
From my experiences I would say the cake is delicious if you know what to order, but you need to know before you go in for the tastings because she doesn’t offer all her best flavors at her tastings. Be prepared to be lied to and gouged, and be sure to put down the minimum deposit necessary because in no way shape or form will that be coming back in the case of any emergency.

I was a guest at Sunas party, and I didnt know she didnt get a slice! Sorry Suna!!! So… I guess I will write the portion of the review on the taste of the cake since she cant! =(
It was delicious. One of the tastiest cakes Ive ever had. It looked like a Unicorn threw up, in a good way! It was all purple and pink and glittery! I was a bit apprehensive when taking the first bite… but WOW! It wasnt too sweet, had loads of strawberry flavor with sliced strawberries inside… The frosting was not overly sweet and the candy hearts on the side were even good.
I really REALLY loved this cake. It was beautiful and delicious. I hope Suna has more babies so I can eat more of this cake.
