I called Riddle appliance out to help me with a broken microwave and stove. Mario came out and I was really impressed with the level of customer service I received form him. He was really knowledgeable and explained things to me and took the time to show me the parts that needed repair and explained how everything worked. I am not a handy person so this was appreciated by me. He also didn’t rush through everything like some other repair people I have had in the past. I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again!

Highly recommend this company in fixing your broken appliances. Mario was my repair technician. He was on time to the appointment and was able to correctly diagnosed the issue and even provided helpful tips in proactive maintenance of my appliance.

I was really happy with the service. I started hearing a strange sound in my freezer and rather than wait until something bad happened, I called Riddle Appliance to take a look. I left a voicemail that night and I received a call back the next morning and had a service technician (Mario) out that same day. I was really surprised too considering how close we are to the holidays.
It turned out to be nothing serious, but Mario spent time educating me more on what my fridge/​freezer can do and other warning signs to be looking out for. Really appreciate the prompt service and the attention I received during the visit.

i would give them a zero if it was available. I was assigned service through my warranty company. When the service person from Riddle Appliance never showed up per my scheduled appointment, I called to find out why. The person I spoke to said they did get the ticket request to service my dishwasher, however they never put me on there schedule. When I asked him why, he said that other people had to have their refrigerator or stove fixed and it was more important. Seriously I was astounded at his answer. So unprofessional, rude and disrespectful.

Ben has been an absolute blessing and handles all our Washer/​Dryer needs ! He is a master with Electrolux washers and dryers and they are very prompt !!

Mario patiently and professionally diagnosed and repaired the problem California Appliance Techs could’t. It was a nightmare that looked like it was going to Break really Bad, and end in a new dishwasher, if not for Mario!

I just got my Magic Chef ice maker back from them, and it’s working great like when it was first purchased. My Magic chef ice machine broke just after 10 months of use so it was still under the warranty. I called MC, and they referred me to Riddle appliance. When I called Riddle appliance, they had already heard from MC so all the paper work was already done. I was told that I just had to bring the machine in. I walked in, and it was like a time slip. It was though as if the shop hadn’t changed for decades. It almost remind me of the appliance repair shops when I was a kid. The two ladies who worked there were very pleasant, and told me it would take at least 10 days or so just to get the parts. I was going on a two week vacation anyway so it wasn’t a problem for me. They said they would call and leave me a message when it’s ready for a pick up. When I returned from my vacation, there was a message from them telling me that the machine was ready for a pick up. I went to the shop a few days later, and this time the owner was there along with the two ladies. They were all very nice like the first time. One lady even remembered that I was on a vacation and asked me how it was. I felt very compelled to write this review because I noticed a few bad reviews that are far from the experience that I had. I hope nothing happens my ice maker again but if I did, I would go back to Riddle appliance for sure. Thank you!

Best service ever, called at 8:35am was greeted by a very friendly voice she said the tech is in my area and could be here within 2 hours. One hour later I received a courtesy call, tech was on way. Mario arrived diagnosed my issue explained in detail what was needed, fixed my problems and was gone in less than an hour. Prices where best of any appliance Company I have ever used. I would without hesitation use them again and would refer them to anyone that needs there service. Thank you Mario.

AWFUL… disorganized, unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. My initial conversation with the manager to explain what was wrong with my washer was uncomfortable as he kept constantly interrupting me and talking over me… To the point where I almost didn’t get to tell him the secondary problem with the machine before he hung up on me.
I was assigned this repair company by Electrolux to service our brand-​new washer. It took 2 ½ weeks to coordinate an appointment, I received voicemails saying «if you do not call me back within 10 minutes we will have to reschedule your appointment». When the technician finally did arrive, over half an hour past the 2 hour window, even after me spending over 30 minutes on the phone with the receptionist at least three times giving turn by turn directions and then with the technician himself giving him turn by turn directions…
The technician refused to take off his shoes or put on any kind of covers around his dirty boots and said that unless he tracked in all the dirt on his shoes through two stories of our house he was unable to do the job. We explained we have a one year old who is constantly on the floor and he refused rolling his eyes and giving us major attitude. When I called the manager of the shop to explain what happened he again cut me off and talked over me and said he didn’t want to listen to my complaint. He told me that there was no one above him even though the the owner’s name is Alice and I’m sure she would be interested to find out how her clients are being treated. I guess it’s inconsequential since I was told she was not there and that he didn’t have any idea when she might or might not be there.

These guys are horrible. I made an appointment for them to come out on Monday. They sent a technician out on Thursday to look at my stove. I was told it was going to be a repair job and they had specifics on the model and repair. Technician didn’t come out with any replacement parts what so ever. On Monday, a representative from the company called me to state that it wasn’t a warrantied repair. The technician told me one thing and a person from the office said another. I will NEVER use these guys or recommend them to any friends or family. They caused me additional wasted time on a misdiagnosis on the issue at hand. I can see why they have so 9 reviews and 3 stars at that. I am totally a dissatisfied customer. Wasted my time off of work and the research time to remedy a warrantied repair not to mention the additional calls to the manufacturer just to fix their misdiagnosis. Good thing for a second opinion.

Made an appointment. Told me they would call they day of the appointment to give a better idea of when they would show up. Waited. They never called. They did not show up. An hour after my appointment (a morning appointment), they called, said they were at my place, and would leave in 5 minutes if I didn’t show up. I wasn’t home. Called them back and said they were busy. Wasted my whole morning. Terrible service.

Had them come out for a repair, the kitchen was left a mess! Filthy water was all over the floor and under the sink. Job was over priced and couldn’t believe the mess that was left for me to clean

I bought my washing machine and dryer from Best Buy and it was an LG set. I started noticing a humming noise that was not previously there. I called LG because my warranty had just expired (that month) and they sent out Riddle Appliance as a third party to service my dryer. My first experience was with a man who came out and looked at the dryer for less than 5 minutes and reported that he did not hear the humming noise when it was clearly there. I called his supervisor and asked to have someone else come out because the noise was apparent and the guy insisted nothing was wrong with the dryer. The second guy came to my house two days later. I waited all day for him to get there. I called in the morning to see when my allotted time (when they were supposed to call me and let me know, but didn’t) and they said between 3−5pm. At almost 5:00pm, the technician shows up and comes upstairs to view my dryer and immediately presents himself as rude and dismissing. I explained to him what my concern was and expressed that my husband indicated that it may be the belt. He laughed at me, rolled his eyes, and said «Why don’t you let me do my job and you can do your job». I told him very nicely that I know nothing about dryers and I was not trying to tell him how to do his job and was just telling him what my husband had said. He repeated himself in a very demeaning and inappropriate tone. I told him that he did not need to speak to me the way he was speaking to me. He went over and grabbed his tool bag and proceeded to WALK OUT without even looking at my dryer. I have NEVER in my life been treated so horribly. My husband called the supervisor immediately because I was so upset and could not believe what happened. The owner/​supervisor, Richard, did nothing to help us out. I would NEVER recommend anyone to come here. They are unprofessional, rude, and obviously do not know what they are doing. Stay clear of this place!

Obviously the five star reviews are from employees because this place is terrible. The place is trashed inside and the website is way out of date, drove over a half hour to pick up my dehumidifier on Saturday at 2 pm thinking it was open till 5 as the website states. To my surprise it was closed. I called all week to see if it was fixed and they kept giving me the run around that they thought their so-​called-​technician had looked at it and said it worked. I believed them, as you should at a professional establishment but these guys had no clue whether it worked or had been fixed, for when I brought it home it had the exact same problem it had when I took it to them to be fixed, IT WAS BROKE AND DID NOT WORK!!! I did not pay them because it was on warranty yet they are still going to bill the company that produces them. I am calling the company tomorrow and telling them they are getting ripped off and to not send their west coast customers to Riddle Appliance. STAY AWAY FROM RIDDLE APPLIANCE!!!

Probably the best experience I’ve ever had with any appliance repair service. Accommodating to my schedule, always available via phone, and showed up when they said they would. My repair person, Ben, was knowledgeable, friendly, well dressed and well groomed. Generally, I would opt for a local repair service; however, the dryer was under warranty and the company scheduled was Riddle. I would definitely call them again despite their lack of proximity to South OC.

I was extremely pleased by the service I received today. The appointment process was easy and they went out of their way, literally, to come out to south orange county after north county appointments to see me on a Saturday (the only day I’m open since I work). The technician Jerry was chipper and friendly (even after the drive in the rain from north county) and took the time to explain the issue and talk appliances with me for a bit. He gave me good advice and tips for the future, and didn’t ever talk down to me — I’m a girl and you’d be surprised how often service people dumb things down — drives me crazy — but not here! Jerry was so nice. They are also going out of their way to call the manufacturer and give them information about my issue, to supplement my claim with the manufacturer — I’m beyond pleased that they are going the extra mile!
I wouldn’t hesitate to call Riddle Service for any appliance issue/​repair. Also, Richard in the office was very nice during the appointment confirmation process.

Love these guys. They are prompt, honest and fair. Been using them for years but never got around to reviewing them til now.

We are having a couple problems with our refrigerator. First time he came, he diagnosed problem. Second time he came, he fixed the problem. Then he needed to come in a third time because he «forgot to turn the water on.» Now we have to call him a forth time because the problem that he supposedly fixed is still not working normally. He said that this was the first time working with this type of refrigerator, but this seems like excessive visits. Imagine having to take off work just because the technician forgot to turn the water on.
When he leaves, he also leaves the parts and trash behind. It’s up to us to clean up after him. If you ask me, this is unprofessional.
I wish I could give him 1 star, but at least the problem is being fixed, even though slowly. But the seeming lack of professionalism, and the fact that this fix is taking several visits, makes for a lackluster experience.
BTW, there is a $ 79 charge just for coming out to check the problem.
