Hertz Rent A Car

Our car was being fixed at a local body shop. When asked about a rental car, the shop owner stated that he had an existing relationship with two national chains — Hertz and a competitor. Since me wife and I had previously dealt with the competitor (without experiencing any major issues), we decided to go to the competitor. Well, this was HUGE mistake! The deposit was three times what we were lead to believe and the daily rate for a compact car was $ 50.00 per day! Well, we were there, and we needed a rental car. We go through the inspection, I sign/​initial everywhere I was supposed to and we go to enter the car. Imagine our disgust when my wife finds VOMIT in the section where she was supposed to place her feet!?! We bring this to the attention of the personnel and they get us out of there with another car.
I then email the body shop owner to let him know of our experiences and I ask if his guy at Hertz could help us out. Within ten minutes of my email, I hear that the shop owner has spoken with Danny at Hertz, gives me the telephone number and says that Danny is expecting my call. He also stated that Danny is a good guy that wants to make us Hertz customers for life.
I call Danny and we make arrangements for us to rent a car that afternoon. We return the competitor’s car and head over to Hertz. When we talk to Danny, he first asks if we had a reservation. When I explain that we didn’t and I am the guy referred by the body shop owner, he immediately remembers my name and he informs me that we indeed have a reservation, as he had placed in after we spoke that morning. Danny gets us all taken care of in minutes, informs us that our deposit was less than the competitor and the daily rate was HALF of what the competitor was charging.
If you are ever in need of a rental car, go see Danny at Hertz and he will take care of you!

I thought the service I got from this location was great but no matter how much they ask, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS. I get ads every single day for Hertz specials. I’ve unsubscribed over a dozen times. I even contacted live support via their website and they told me they put in a request. And I’m still getting ads. It’s gotten so frustrating that I will never, ever ride with Hertz again. Loved the service but their spam widget killed it.

I was getting work done on my car and had no clue how long it would take. Therefore, I decided to rent a car from Hertz from Friday to Monday. I mentioned to the worker doing the rental that it might be sooner, he said it would be fine but they are closed over the weekend. He then mentioned that it would still be alright because the people working in the attached service department would mark when I dropped it off. My car was ready earlier than expected and I dropped it off early Saturday morning, however when I looked at my bank statement I was charged for an extra day. I contacted this Hertz location and he said that the service worker must have marked the wrong day. That is an understandable mistake, however that is not what happened. I asked him to credit my account for the extra charges and he said they are not allowed to do that. The only thing they can do is give me a deal in the future. After hearing this I contacted corporate immediately and in the process of righting the problem. I will never use this location again. I have recently talked to a close friend of mine who had a very similar experience with this location. STAY AWAY!

We at Auto Pros have been dealing with this Hertz location and DANNY in particular for the past few years and would like to give credit where credit is due. Always professional, accommodating, courteous and helps you with a smile even though sometimes it seems he swamped and multitasking. Thank you for the great service.

Avoid this location if you can. The girl working here is a sweetheart, but the problem is she’s the only one working! Hertz won’t give her anyone else to help her, so she’s always either vacuuming a car or picking up a customer or something while the line is always 30 – 45 minutes long. I was lucky enough to snag the last car here but the six people who came in behind me were SOL. If you must come here, give the girl some patience, she deserves it.
Update: 1.5 girls work here. There’s another woman (equally as nice) but she’s not allowed on the computer system, only able to pick up customers and check in cars.
