Foothill Feed & Grain

I have been coming here for years and it has always been a good experience. The prices are much better than any of the other feed stores around and they are very friendly. I always buy my lay pellets and new chicks here.

Great feed store inexpensive and staff always helpful and friendly.

I called and asked about alfalfa pellets. They had the quarter inch pellets that I’ve been using for puppy litter. It cost 10.95 for 50lbs which is 7 dollars cheaper than the first feed store I was going to. I will be coming back! The woman on the phone was nice and the men in the store when I was there were courteous and helped place the bag into the car.

Love this place, friendly staff and great prices. I drive from Costa Mesa, Mesa Feed is so expensive! I get chicken feed and supplies for my hens.

Unfortunately i walked out of here empty handed, as i was looking for a flake of hay similar to what i could find at Stephen’s Hay and Grain in Glendale. A bale is way too much for me to buy for one rabbit (plus i don’t have the storage space — neither in my car nor home)

Unbelievably poor customer service. I thought the OTHERl feed store in Orange was the WORST, but this place is right in line with them. What is it with feed stores? Customers do NOT matter whatsoever.

For what I need this place is perfect. I can get what I need, have some friendly interaction, and get out. Have never had a negative experience here. And I love hearing the chickens and roosters out back and the seeing the random birds trying to get at the feed bins. For me, this is the place to go.

I love this place, it is a feed store not a tack store so dont go there for a saddle. But I drive all the way from Costa Mesa to shop here. Everybody is helpful and friendly and very knowledgable. There is a very good selections and prices are much better then in the south county. But I do come here for the people and the service.
This said, I dont understand how some ridiculous slime ball like «Jessi J» can bring his personal problems to Unilocal and try to down grade a business.
Man who cares, nobody on Unilocal does, nobody at Foothill does. Your GF? Are you kidding? Maybe you were inadequate with your manhood if you know what I mean? Grow up and get your head out of your rear. Stupid whiny wanker.

I love this place. It has this mom and pop feel to it. Whenever I walk in they greet me ever so kindly. Then when I purchase the dog food they always take it to my car. What a place!!!

I drive about 30 out of my way to go here. I’ve been to the store about 3x and each time, I’ve gotten some of the best customer service.
My wife and I recently decided to raise backyard chicken. We are both from the suburbs with no experience with raising anything. We walked in looking like tourists. The guy behind the counter (forgot his name, young guy with long dark hair) spent over 30 minutes answering questions for us about everything from breed types to feed to how to socialize the flock. Really nice as well.
I went in yesterday to get some scratch and decided to pick up some oyster shells also and the lady helping us actually told us it wasn’t necessary to buy both. She said she didn’t want us to waste money! Can you believe that!
Anyways. We are customers for life now. Great prices, great people, great and HONEST service.

Love, love this place. I go twice a month for 50 pound bags of cracked corn to feed the ducks in the lake at my office. Great price, $ 4 a bag less than the fancier store up the street — love all the employees, and the atmosphere is great — I’ve introduced several friends to it including a co-​worker who has chickens and other animals — he was very happy with Foothill too and will be going back.

I have been coming here for DECADES! First when I had a horse and now that I have chickens. They have a great selection, good prices and are very helpful.
The parking lot is pretty small. I am always happier when the easier parking spots are open.

First time buying chicken feed as a suburban egg farmer — I’ll certainly return. Young clerk — name of Eric — advised me graciously and well as to my needs. He confirmed several questions that I had. The Internet is great for research but this place gave me the face time I needed & that was appreciated. Also — a woman dropped off a rooster she couldn’t care for anymore. They took it off her hands no questions asked & I watched Eric put it in the back. He treated it with care & kindness. That was nice to see. Good place. Prices were lower than expected.

Good selection of all natural and fancy pet food. The staff is super awesome and friendly specially Eric for helping me with a school project.

Never had anything but a good experience with them over the last seven years. I’ve supplied horses, dogs, cats and rabbits through them. Pricing is OK, not great but not a gouge at all. No problems getting a little help to load stuff, a little tight because of the lot so plan ahead.
The last time I was in the lady at the counter visited with my six-​year old and came up with a toy for him. That rates pretty good on the ‘treat your customer’ side of things, I think.

This place had a huge selection of pet food and for cheap prices. I don’t know why there’s all these 2 star reviews, the lady here was friendly and other then having an understandably small parking lot, this business seems flawless to me.
Keep it up Foothill Feed and Grain, I’ll be back when my supply of goose food runs low, even if those geese are now gone!
