Awaken Float Lounge

First time floating and the owner Eric explained everything in detail. Made it very comfortable and easy for something I had no idea what to expect. Was a great experience feel very relaxed after, will definitely be back to do it again. Would recommend it to anyone thinking about trying it out definitely worth it.

The business is brand spanking new, but already functions like a well rounded facility. The owner Eric is very personal and easy to talk to.
The tanks that Eric has here are the centerpiece of the business. They are Float Lab tanks that are absolutely top notch, you won’t find better tanks for the experience that these tanks can give. If it’s your first time floating, come here, if you’ve been floating for a while now, come here. I’ve been floating for about a year now and can say that the experience is best in Float Lab tanks.
If you want to improve yourself, take a well needed break from a stressful situation or make a speedy recovery from a workout this is the place to go.

Decided to come here for my first float and it definitely won’t be my last. The experience as well as the business far exceeded my expectations. They have very friendly and informative service, A comfortable and clean facility, and a great overall atmosphere. It was also very comforting to find that they are also one of the few businesses in California that have NSF certified sensory deprivation tanks.

Came here for a quick float. Eric the owner is very nice and informative. This is a new float lounge so everything is brand new and in pristine condition. Tanks were big and state of the art. Great promotional price too.

The place:
So when you first walk into awaken float lounge and you’ve never done this before it’s hard to imagine what to expect. The entry is plain, and neat. But let’s be honest you’re not going there for the ambiance and the sophisticated art work in the waiting room. The rooms with the float tanks are very clean and fresh with 1 tank and 1 shower per room. Fresh towels are provided as well as soap, shampoo, ear plugs and water.
The staff:
I’m sorry I forgot the girls name, but she was very friendly. She called me to confirm my appointment before I arrived. Upon arrival she greeted me by name immediately, which was very impressive. And Eric spoke with me before and after my session. This guy is jam packed full of knowledge and experience with these float tanks, so if you have any questions, want to hear some stories or share yours definitely chat him up before you go.
The experience:
The experience was awesome. If you explore their website you can kind of get an idea of what you’re getting yourself into. And a pro tip to the ladies (well I guess the guys too) DO NOT, WHATEVER YOU DO, ignore the part about shaving, do that the 12 hour minimum before you go, if not longer. I thought 6 was enough, but nah. Anyway, back to floating. The total darkness was the hardest part to get used to, there was no difference between eyes open or closed. If this makes you nervous or uncomfortable do what I did, I used the towel to prop the door open until I got comfortable and then yanked it so the door closed to ease myself into it. But definitely do close the door, you’ll get more out of your experience and the tank feels so much bigger when it’s dark. I’m 5’10 and I had no problem fully extending my arms and legs
Conclusion:
I think I will make this a monthly ritual. You guys will see me back there at the end of march/​early may.

Didn’t know much about floating until I heard Joe Rogan talk about it. Months later, I found out about Awaken opening up in Orange right next to my house and knew that I needed to try it. Made an appt through their website and when I arrived, I was greeted immediately at the door. Eric (the owner) knew my name and was very personable and professional. Since it was my first float, I didn’t know much about it so Eric gave me a tour and explained the floating process step by step.
Once it was time to get in the tank, I was a bit nervous since it was my first time… but as soon as I climbed in the tank, I was ok. The salt water makes your skin super soft and it’s great if you have muscle soreness or cramps. All in all, this was a great experience and I’ll definitely be back!

Finally a float center little more inland from the beach! A plus for me living in anaheim hills area. This is my 3^rd offical float. I have, Floated in Venice, Newport and now here. So far awaken float lounge is my favorite mainly cause of the location, Eric the owner is a really nice, educational guy. He was thorough in explaining what the float tank is about, how it works, little tips for when in the tank and, all the benefits it has to offer. The tanks are legit. To me seemed a bit bigger than other tanks I’ve been in, But that’s me. The 90 minute time period was alot better than other places as well. If you never floated before, come check out awaken float lounge and try to disconnect, if you do I’m sure you’ll be back. Happy floating everyone!

I don’t easily give 5 stars to any place but for a new place to try this new experience I would defiantly recommend this place to everyone with athletic background, it’s relaxing, it’s simple and well valued and the owner among staff are welcoming and friendly. The process is not a rocket science and result is you feeling rejuvenated and energized and at the same time as close to the feeling of floating in space as you can get in land so if you are in the area and have an hour or so to spare I would recommend this over getting a massage.

Five stars for great customer service and a really great experience. Always wanted to try floating but never got the chance to until this place opened. Super convenient, located close to the 55 and 91 fwys– the ambiance was great and relaxing. The tanks were roomy and comfortable. Came out feeling refreshed (and my skin has been super soft since). Gotta love that salt water– Get your appointments in now people, you won’t regret the experience!

I’ve heard of Sensory Deprivation prior to booking my appointment but had never tried it. Unilocaled and found this location which is great since it’s in the heart of Orange County. OMG Such an amazing Experience!
Place is super clean with a calming atmosphere and my appointment was right on time so I didn’t have to wait. The tanks are massive which allowed to me to fully extend my body without ever touching the walls. They also provide you with all the necessary stuff you would need such as ear plugs, towels, and water to stay hydrated after the float. The staff is super friendly and helpful in regards to any questions you may have about floating or the process.
They Even Let You Look At The Equipment!
All together it was an extraordinary experience of absolute bliss and relaxation. Definitely recommend this place to everyone!
