Travis and his team were awesome to work with! They were extremely professional and did a great job shooting our wedding day! Our highlights video came out amazing and we loved it! I couldn’t be happier with 8 Kinds of Smiles! I’d definitely recommend Travis!

I highly recommend Travis as your wedding videographer. Travis has been very professional and responsive from right from the start. Our initial consultation went so well, we placed a deposit and signed a contract with him to lock the date. He always made sure to check in with me and was very prompt in following up with me throughout the whole process. Travis and Jason are both very professional, humble and blended in the background flawlessly on the wedding day. We received so many compliments on our SDE… it brought tears to my eyes. Our highlight video was just beautiful — he captured all the small details and important events, but in highlights where it covered the full day in a few minutes. We just watched our wedding video and it brought back all those beautiful memories and emotions. Travis is talented and passionate about his work and it shows in his work. He even goes into details with the artwork for the dvd cover. Travis is a perfectionist with true talent. I will be recommending Travis to all my future brides. Fabulous work, Travis!

My experience with Travis throughout our entire wedding process was quite phenomenal. Text and emails were responded to very quickly and appointments were easily made or rescheduled. We opted for the same day edit (SDE), extended cut, and DVD. I felt the cinematography, artistic value, camera angles, audio quality, and pricing were all top notch in quality and value.
Travis and Jason spent an entire day with us shooting, from 6 am all the way to 10:30 pm. The SDE was well received by family and guests. Travis has a certain passion for his work and it definitely comes across in all the small details. He managed to shoot everything without any obtrusiveness while capturing all the small details. All the uncles and aunts got their moment of fame (as expected in an Asian wedding), and no complaints or critique from family or friends.

We hired Travis to shoot some video for us to show at our wedding reception. Not only was all the footage beautifully shot with excellent sound, but Travis himself was an absolute pleasure to do business with. He was extremely organized and professional from start to finish. He made us both feel comfortable talking on camera and his prices were completely reasonable. I’m so grateful we found him and I would recommend him very highly.

Travis and his team are awesome! We had our wedding last September and everything turned out great! Prior to the wedding, meeting up with him was pretty simple. He was professional, straightforward and easy to work with. On our wedding day, he was on time and made sure he captured all the important moments of our day. We had a surprise same day edit that my sister decide to add to our reception and he did a fabulous job! In such a short amount of time, he nailed it without a doubt and brought tears to our eyes. Travis and his team are AMAZING. Planning a wedding is extremely stressful and gets extremely pricy, but 8 Kinds of Smiles provide an awesome package and the price you pay is worth every dollar spent! Travis is so prompt when it comes to responding to me about questions and getting back to me in a timely manner. After the wedding I got my highlight video which was amazing, and the extended cut shortly after. He did not disappoint at all. He is so good at what he does and I loved the quality of the DVD. Choosing 8 Kinds of Smiles is the best decision you will make for your wedding as he captures all the important parts of the day! Hurry and book! Travis and his team are nothing short of amazing!!! I can not even express enough how happy I am with his work and how much I enjoyed working with him from start to finish. From the first email to inquire about pricing until the last one about dropping off my final products, he was extremely professional, helpful, and always there to answer any questions I had. His packages are extremely budget friendly but the results are amazing and worth every penny! I was beyond stressed the day of my wedding but whenever I watch my highlight & extended cut video they make me smile because Travis was able to capture and document every special moment that day (and despite being able to capture everything, he and his team were never in the way) My family and friends all love our videos and I have gotten many inquiries from brides-​to-​be about 8KS and I have sent everyone Travis’ contact info and will continue to do so whenever anybody asks. Thank you again 8KS for being a part of our wedding day!

Yay I get to be the first bad review !! This guy Travis is very difficult to work with ! Very inexperienced in what he does ! When it comes down flexibility he has none! We adjusted a couple of items on our timeline and it still was not good enough. He states he needed about an hour for SDE. cleared up a couple of items and gave him that time frame and still said he couldn’t do it! Instead gave us the option of a wedding highlight ! WTF! We asked him if there are other options to accommodate his needs for and SDE. NO response. But he was quick to cancel the meeting since he made up his mind that our wedding is something he couldn’t do. we wanted his services because he does great SDE. After experiencing his inadequate professionalism. We felt that we should not be treated like peasants. Especially as a paying client ! I thought it was the other way around, the vendor pleasing the clients not the clients trying to please the vendor. In short great videos but comes with a diva cinematographer !

My husband and I are very happy with Travis Do and his associate’s work. They are very professional and easy to work with. We got a same day edit/​wedding highlights, extended cut, and a copy of the raw video and could not be much happier with the results. It’s hard to give Travis and his team at 8 kinds of smiles the appropriate recognition that they deserve for their great professional work that they provided for us on our wedding day. I’ve told Travis this before but I’m going to say it again in this review… he’s definitely got the «IT» factor to capture the most poignant and funniest moments of your wedding day. He’s professional, he’s easy going, he allows you to be natural, funny, dorky, and emotional. His professionalism shows in his repeated attempts to meet up with you to get to know you and to touch base with any agendas or appropriate information that he may need to know for the big day. I had asked him to include my proposal video along with the same day edit for my wedding and he was absolutely CLUTCH in his delivery. Getting to witness two of the most important days of our lives played out during our reception in front of all our loved ones was one of the most emotional and surreal moments of our lives. Many of our guests were in tears and loved watching the proposal and SDE. Our finished product was super awesome and not only were we happy with it, but our parent’s LOVED their vietnamese version as well (any couple with traditional parents knows how difficult it is to please parents nowadays with wedding videos). When Travis says he will customize the video to your preference and liking, he literally means it… I was able to adjust and change anything I wanted (music, scenes, speeches) and I changed A LOT! Once I was absolutely happy with every second of my video, Travis then sends it in for final production. To me, that meant a great deal because I was able to include every part that I felt important to my family and delete or shorten the not so important parts. His flexibility and willingness to change everything was greatly appreciated. I’ve thanked Travis and his team a billion times but I never feel that it’s enough because he’s helped to capture a day that my husband and I will cherish and remember FOREVER. and for that, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. You guys are ACKA-​Awesome!!! I definitely recommend this team to all engaged couples out there… no doubt one of our best wedding investments ever!!! C&D

8 Kinds of Smiles is one of the easiest vendor I worked with during my wedding. Travis and his team are amazing. Even though I live in Boston and Travis is across the country in California, the work I saw on his page was exactly what I wanted for my wedding. The whole contract/​booking process was very easy and Travis promptly answered all my questions. Travis and his team flew over to Boston to shoot my wedding. Everyone was very courteous and they weren’t intrusive in any way. You could barely tell they were there. After the wedding, Travis was very quick to send me the final same day edit. When he was slightly late with the video he promptly emailed me and apologized. I am very impressed with how punctual and professional he was. After working with a different video vendor for my engagement (a big fail) it is very refreshing to work with a real and true professional. The videos came out great and I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend Travis and his team at 8 Kinds of Smiles.

We cannot say enough great things about Travis and Mai! The same-​day-​edit was amazing. Our guests were blown away when it was played at the wedding. Travis has a way of capturing what makes the couple special. He listened to all our preferences as far as style and created a video that we will treasure forever. We feel as though the video magically captures how we felt on the wedding day. We still get tears in our eyes when we watch it together. Not only do they capture what makes us special as a couple but, it was a work of art in itself.
In addition, Travis’s customer service was impeccable. He and Mai were on time the day of the wedding and captured everything without feeling intrusive at all during the day. They just blended into the background! To top it off, their flexible packages make it easy to fit into any budget!

Travis was very prompt in email correspondence, professional, and our finished product was really well put together! Service is great, very professional, and most importantly, he delivers what you’re looking for in photos or videos. If I could redo my wedding — the whole shebang… I would keep but a few vendors and Travis Do is at the top of my list. Travis and Sophia are simply amazing! Where do I begin?!
Before the Wedding: I had booked Travis way in advance after hearing about him and watching his work on
. I LOVE LOVE LOVE his style! His emails are timely and he’s just an overall down-​to-​earth kind of guy. My husband really liked his pace — and of course we both greatly appreciate his talent.
During the Wedding: Travis and Sophia showed up on time. They were extremely easy to work with — always professional, always a pleasure. As fast as the wedding day flew by, Travis was able to deliver an amazing SDE. Our family and friends had never really seen a SDE at a wedding so they were very impressed by his work. I know I watched the SDE numerous times and even though it has been months I still itch to watch the SDE before bed.
After the Wedding: I had some concerns after my wedding that I did not want in our extended cut and sure enough Travis worked his magic so the bloopers were excused and the wedding is flawless on film. I greatly appreciate the proofs he provides both for the artwork and the dvd. I never worried about the end result with Travis. I asked for 5 copies of our extended cut (for our families) and he dropped off 8 to my mom at no extra charge. What a guy!
We had a few bad seeds for vendors BUT we really lucked out with Travis and 8kindsofsmiles. He really made up for what others lacked and luckily for me, he did me the honor of filming our wedding. Travis, from the bottom of my heart… thank you for the exceptional work that you do. You were a pleasure to work with and I will continue to praise your work to others!

If you think you are talented, wait until you meet Travis, founder of 8 kinds of smiles. Such a young man, but do not be fooled by his youthful appearance. This guy knows what he is doing, does a quality job, and makes it look easy. He made my husband and I three most amazing videos that we will cherish for life. He also set up a photoboth at our reception, which he built himself! Of course, it was a huge success! Even my mom got in the booth. And to top it off, Travis’ prices are so reasonable! Truthfully, he gave us more than our photographer, and we paid much more for the latter. I highly recommend you book him if you at all want a video of your big day! You won’t be disappointed.

First off, I would like to say a big thank you to Travis, Ly & Sophy and secondly, I would like to say that Matt and I are straight up awkward. Either I am making a face or Matt is. either way, I know it’s difficult to get a good picture of both of us at the same time. Talk to our engagement photographer… Long story short, 8 Kinds of Smiles made us look normal, natural and in some parts super attractive: P
We really wanted to same day edit because a wedding is an all day event and not everyone gets to see the bride and groom getting ready so we wanted them to experience that with us. We had a large wedding, we couldn’t be here without their love, support and especially friendship. Tear:
