Went today to Mathis Bros in Ont and was so impressed with the selection and the prices there. My sales person was so helpful and not pushy. He was able to give me all the information I needed to make my choice between the two sofas that I was interested in. If you need a salesperson who knows his stuff just ask for Kevin Worley. I can assure you he will help you 100%. Wish all sales people I meet were half as good as Kevin was. Thank You Mathis Bros and Thank You Kevin-​you made my day. My couch was delivered less than eight hours after I purchased it-​that is some kind of great service. You can bet I’ll go back next time I need something.

This review is ONLY for the finance section of this store. I will share my entire experience.
My family and I stopped at this Mathis Brothers after visiting Ontario Mills. Yes, the moment you walk in it’s like walking into shark infested waters. You can say, «no thanks just looking,» but sometimes they don’t listen. I said no to many as we walked in, but one continued to follow us — literally followed us; I stopped and turned around and told him we are not buying anything today to which he replied, «It’s okay.»
Fast forward to about a couple of weeks later; I end up going through the process of getting credit and end up being approved for «easy pay.» They tell me that the details will be given at the time of my purchase. I pick everything out, i’m at the finance section and the young lady asks me if I want to do the 3 month easy pay; I asked her if that was the only option and she said oh you want the other option I said yes and she says okay — tells me i’m going to get a text code; she murmured something about interest rate; I get the text, I click on the link and she says it’s a code, nudging me to look for a code. I see the code and give it to her and as I’m reading what was sent to me it said the monthly payment will be $ 285 and change over 12 months… and then the interest rate — brace yourselves… a whopping 189% interest rate! So to finance $ 1500 over the course of 12 months I would have been paying close to $ 2,000 in interest! I immediately told her that I did NOT want to do the 12 month easy pay and that I would need to call a number to get them to switch it. I hope she wasn’t lying to me. I should also mention that she also sort of mumbled through something about how complicated it would be to return my items if I decided I didn’t want them anymore; it was an odd statement and felt more like they like to discourage people from returning stuff.
Moral of my story is — PLEASE pay attention and be aware of easy pay and the person finalizing your finance part of your purchase, if you are financing.

I’ve purchased furniture from Mathis Brothers for 15+ years at their multiple locations and I’ve always been fully satisfied from start to finish.
We recently purchased a king size mattress for when we had family coming in town to visit. The delivery was set to take place the day our family arrived. Turns out we needed a California King, but we accidentally ordered a regular King (our fault). They were able to take back the regular King and have a California King setup at our house before the end of the day! Our house guests were thrilled and so were we!
The huge selection and great customer service at Mathis Brothers make it our first stop anytime we are looking for new furniture or mattresses.

Came here yesterday with my boyfriend. Way before my boyfriend & i got together he bought a 3 bedroom house. He didnt really decorate it because you know that bachelor life. Now that we are together & living together we’ve been looking at furniture for our bedroom & living room. The furniture they sell here are beautiful. Pricey but it’s sturdy & won’t break on you like Ikea. We actually went to ikea for a dinning room table but my boyfriend is about 6’4″ & it seems like ikea furniture is for short people. We found a table & coffee table that we loved & are considering purchasing. Only downside is that the sales reps get kinda annoying. Following us asking if we need any help. I understand they want their sales but it just makes it difficult when a sales rep is basically breathing down my neck. You would think since the store is so huge they wouldn’t be able to find me. I can’t complain though, every furniture store I’ve been to I’ve had sales reps following me asking me if I have any questions. Oh well. I’ll probably be back to get the furniture we want.

Great variety of product. However the customer service is poor… I ordered a bed on a Saturday and got excuse after excuse regarding delivery and a week later still no delivery. Another piece I ordered was damaged before it arrived to my house and management resolution was non existing. They never had intentions to apply customer service and resolve the issue. They have gotten so used to disappointing customers that it comes very naturally to them.

I loved my experience with Mathis Brothers. The store is enormous and so much to choose from. I found the sofa, club chair and tv cabinet I just love. Next, I went to the interior decorating department to choose the material. My salesman Adrien was very professional and had patience with me. It took about seven or eight weeks for delivery but I’m so happy regardless. Thanks MB.

Your customer service is the worse. When I walked in they were very helpful since they know your in the need of buying furniture. I was very indecisive on how I wanted to furnish my home. Let Angelica know which is one of the four sales reps that helped us. yes four why because she was very impatient she just wanted to make a fast sale period, like the next 2 sales rep where as well. I was frustrated already and finally was able to decide on the furniture the last sales rep that assisted us was helpful but again he wanted to close the deal that he mislead everything from the return policy, to the delivery charges. Very upsetting. They also told us that we would get notified when our order was ready to schedule a delivery 2 months passed nothing, I had to call and they told me that they were waiting on a final item that was custom order to be ready, which I understand it’s a custom order. I had told them from the beginning that I didn’t want to wait 4 months for all my furniture to be delivered all at once I was ok with two different deliveries. Anywho that was that, I received my furniture and nothing compared to what I received weren’t true colors as the warehouse very sad. Wanted to return them and I had to pay at 10% restocking fee after spending almost $ 6000. Had to speak to a cashier supervisor was a hassle she got an attitude when I was letting her know that the math wasn’t adding up, and she offered to send me an itemized statement which I never received. I had to go in person and thanks to Ingrid that was very helpful got it for me and she came up with the same numbers as I did. Very unprofessional. I’m an unsatisfied customer, Never again Mathis brothers!

I wandered a bit, and when I was ready we found each other. Lawrence found the couch and love seat I was looking for and had me on my way very easily and quickly.

I am surprised at reading some of the negative comments on here. I have owned a large national home staging and design service for 20 years. Because I need furniture quickly I appreciate being able to purchase off the floor.
I live in Orange County and decided to drive out to Mathis Bros to check out their inventory. I found their prices fair and a wide range of quality to fit many buyers needs.
The best part of our trip was meeting salesman Chris Campos. When he greeted us I let him know we had a limited time to look around. I told him exactly what I was looking for and he walked us through the showroom showing us our options. We bought a sofa, chair and 3 tables on that visit. It was seamless! That was last week. Today I text and called him and bought another sofa and chair and arranged for delivery. I was able to handle it over the phone and not make the trek to the IE.
I can’t speak for the other salespeople, but I will be shopping a lot at Mathis Bros and will ALWAYS ask for Chris Campos. Anyone looking for outstanding customer service and product knowledge should do the same!

Had a terrible sales lady help us on Saturday 7, 2016. Sat on love seat, the seat seemed to make us lean towards left side, her reply was it was tilting because the rug was under the legs. I replied, all you coaches are on rugs. We started
To walk away because she was not being honest. As she goes past her boss with us he hind her, he asked her how did it go, she said the love seat has mechanical problem she noticed 2 weeks prior. He said why didn’t you get it off the floor? So she knew 2 weeks prior there was a defect and she tries to tell us is for the carpet.
I will never shop herd again. Dishonest sales lady.

Had a great experience today at Mathis Brothers!!!
Rosemary Mamirez was our sales associate. She greeted us at the door when we walked in and was very genuine and polite. It was me, my wife and my daughter.
We told her we were in escrow for a new house and what areas of the house furniture we wanted to see.
She walked us thur each department and gave us options and educated us on the products/​brands and the different qualitys.
She never used any pressure sales tactics.
We put 10% down to hold the things we liked. Until we close escrow and 2 small things were our of stock, but were coming in fast.
Anyone looking for furniture. Ask for her!!!
She has alot of knowledge and experience in furniture.
Great rep.
ps. We went to ashelys furniture to just see options, they didn’t compare to the quality and to the customer service we recieved from Mathis Brothers.

I went over there yesterday for their Lazy Boy 2 for 1 low price sale. Turns out it’s 2 for almost the original price and they only shave off about $ 70 per chair. In the end it came out to $ 1000 for both chairs plus delivery. WHAT A BIG FAT LIE! Anything to get your foot in the door. SHAME ON YOU MATHIS BROTHERS!!! What kind of JEDI mind trick were you trying to pull!!!
Rick — No need to apologize. What it should say is «20% off with the purchase of 2 chairs.» That’s pretty clear to anyone. Your own salesman told me I was the 4th customer who thought the same. This was misleading to many not just me. CHANGE IT.

Visited your store earlier today looking for a sectional. I am on a very tight budget so i visited your clearance section. One of your sales guys followed us into the clearance section and basically coaxed my husband out and to your showroom sectionals leaving me there alone!
couldnt find husband so i had to wait outside by the car. finally he came out with the salesman wanting me to look at what he found by that time i was very upset. I am the main decision maker in furniture besides i was paying for it. I didnt like the way your sales guy just felt he would ask and show my husband items without me.

Came here last week looking for two matresses and and a sofa. We came in about an hour before they closed so we were pressed for time. We managed to look around and check out the sofas. We weren’t completely sold on any of the selections they had so we moved our way into the mattress department. Found a queen bed for our guest room, and cal king for ourselves. Made the purchase without any problems. The beds got delivered the next day at a reasonable time and the delivery gents were great. They even took our existing beds. We told ourselves we would be back the following weekend to walk around and look at the entire store seeing if anything else peek’d our intrest to purchase.
We walked in today and boy, have you ever gone on a walk mid evening and found yourself walking through a sworm of gnats? Well if you have, that’s what my expierence was walking in the door with the sales reps standing around the store. Everywhere I went these pesky gnats followed. I couldn’t just enjoy looking around. I was so fed up with them, I left. Good bye Mathis Brother’s, I won’t be back unless you train your folks how not to be nasty annoying gnats!

This was my first visit to Mathis Brothers today. I’ve been searching for a new couch and love seat for months. I have gone to all their other major competitors several times but nothing really stood out to make me want to buy anything. Mathis Brothers was about a 2 hour drive round trip from Orange County, but after reading all the reviews and hearing about their selection I really wanted to check the store out before making my final decision on my purchase. So ok now on to my experience at this store today. So I had a bit of a rough start with one of the sales woman who had greeted me in a way I really didn’t like at all. Luckily after looking around around for awhile I was assisted by Charles Smith. He was very nice and answered all my questions. I really felt like I received VIP service today. Not only was he knowledgeable but he was very patient and I never felt pressured or rushed to make a purchase. I ended up buying a Michael Nicholas couch and love seat set and will have it delivered next weekend. I do plan on making some future purchases for my home soon and will defiantly be asking for Charles when I return.

Mathis Brothers is a really ginormous furniture store. Their furniture isn’t cheap, but for the most part it looks like the furniture is decently made and sturdy.
We weren’t hounded the entire time we were there. I think the sales associate we had each visit were patient with us and gave us space to wander and then check in on us on occasion. We actually didn’t purchase our bedroom furniture set until are second visit because we did more research at other furniture stores and even IKEA…
Ultimately we came back a second time and were able to make our big purchase (first big purchase as a married couple).
Like all commissioned retail stores they will try to sell you extended warranties and things you probably won’t need. We decided to get the 5 year warranty (1st year overlaps with standard 1 year warranty, so it’s actually 4 years) our bed frame only because it was pretty inexpensive and we eventually need to move the bed into another bedroom. In hindsight I wish we didn’t purchase the warranty because the bed comes apart in three easy sections and we don’t have to actually unscrew anything. The frustrating part during viewing in a show room is that they won’t show you how easy it is to disassemble the bed to picket the warranty money (that or we got a representative that was unknowledgeable in this area…)
Delivery wasn’t cheap because the store is WAY east of us and the charge an extra percentage rate past a certain amount of miles. The delivery process was easy, they call to confirm and email you the time frame the evening before delivery.
Overall the experience was just ok. The store selection is decent and gives you good inspiration for home setting up your home spaces. The price isn’t cheap, but he quality is decent.
