My wife and I stopped there for our third time on 6÷11÷16, Saturday around 4:30. We sat at a table in the bar area and received outstanding service by Jerrod. His recommendations were helpful and he made our experience very enjoyable. Food has been consistently good. I have to admit I thought we would try someplace different night before making it to upstream. We tried a competitor next door(Mexican place) and ended up walking out after a horrible experience with an immature hostess(first time ever walked out of a place). Keep up the great service and food. Nice selection of beer too.

We love going here! Great food, beer and service! They are kid friendly which is great for us and they always have new things to drink and eat! I love the in house root beer!

Went there for a beer on the patio. Great place for that. Showed the waiter a drink coupon. Over the next hours we ordered more beer and the the shrimp bacon wrap and Thai chicken salad. My companion had the pork tenderloin sandwich. Food was american spicy but decent. Shrimp we asked distinctly if they were jumbo. Our waiter said yes they were. I would not have paid $ 12 for 4 regular shrimp. Waiter was wrong and I called it to his attention he nervously laughed and said yeah, those must be Nebraska shrimp. He made no effort to rectify. Silverware had carrot chunk on tine. Our coupons were not honored but I didn’t catch it while we were there. Decent atmosphere friendly staff. To many screw ups and not making it right for a higher rating. If well executed would be higher.

Great beer selection with an onsite brewery and diverse food menu. Our table ordered the hummus, the pretzel bites, the Gouda and beer soup, the jambalaya and I got the pesto trout. Unfortunately, nothing was outstanding to the point that I have any need to go back for the food, since the Old Town part of Omaha has lots of other restaurants to pick from. I would definitely return for the beer selection.

We had a GREAT experience here. Tried some of the beer samplers, loved them. Especially the IPA. Someone had the table got the beef stroganoff, which was ah-mazing. I loved that dish. We also had the chicken sandwich, and the fish and chips. Also the fried pickles! Always good. And we bought some of their bread to take home. I haven’t had the opportunity to try some yet, but the loaves look beautiful! I would definitely come back, next time I’m in the area.

I’ll give it 3.5. Very nice restaurant with a good atmosphere that’s not too loud or pretentious. Food was good. I had the Thai chicken salad, which was good but had a bit too much dressing and a few too many oranges. Could’ve used a bit more spice for my tastes. My wife had the mojo chicken quesadilla(appetizer) for a lunch meal. She didn’t care for it, but I thought it was decent, especially the charred corn salsa. Kids and wife ordered root beer floats for desert they said was really good. As for the beer, the Mind Quad was weak on aroma and dark fruit flavor. The Capital Pale and Dundee Scotch were pretty decent. I’d recommend it, but know it’s a just-above-average brewery/restaurant.

At 12:45 on a Wed afternoon, we sat there for about 12 min and hadn’t even got greeted by our waitress to put our drink order in. We walked out and went to Lazlos.

The dining area was going to take an hour with a party of six. Skip the line and look for a table in the bar area. We did that and sat down right away. They have a nice menu of brews and seeing Firehouse Lager on the menu was a welcome sight when most places lately concentrate on ales. That lager was delicious and I had quite a few. Had some appetizers, my coworkers got some entrees. I really like the fried cheese curds and pretzel bites. Was not too fond with the sauce that came with the curds. When you call it a blackberry habanero sauce it better have some kick. There was not even a slight kick, it was just overall sweet. I skipped the sauce. The curds by themselves were pretty darn good. I need to learn how to make those when I go home. Can’t say much for the entrees but my coworkers finished all their dishes clean so its gotta be good. The Firehouse lager and cheese curds are my kind of game watching food.

This is the first time we’ve been here and we liked it ok. Everything tasted good and service was alright. Nothing to call home about.

I’ve been to this Upstream location a couple times for dinner. It gets really crowded on the weekend nights, but we had no problem getting in on a Sunday night(they also take, and honor, reservations, which can majorly cut down the wait on weekend nights). The décor is typical of a brewery, and the menu offers a good selection of brewery food options with recommended beer pairings. The service here has always been pretty good and the prices are fairly reasonable for the quality of the food(our bill was just under $ 30, before tip, for an appetizer and two entrees). On our most recent visit we decided to start off with the Bavarian Pretzel Bites. The serving is a little on the small side(we had eaten about 3 when I took my photo of them), but the bites themselves are good, and my husband and I both enjoyed the Gouda Red Lager mustard dip they were served with(it is similar to their smoked gouda and beer soup in flavor). For my entrée on both visits I went with the Reuben, with a side of the smoked gouda and beer soup. The Reuben is served on thick beer bread and is a very generous portion. This sandwich is very good, due in large part to the incredible bread it is served on, which is complemented by heaps of corned beef and sauerkraut. Their beer cheese soup is also fantastic(it is one of my husband’s favorite soups)!

Good food and great beer! We were snowed in after Christmas during the storm and not a lot was open, so we chose Upstream. The ambiance was fantastic. The booths were spacious and the décor was welcoming. Our sandwiches were good and the bread used was fresh and tasted amazing! My chicken was a bit over done, but my husband said he was served one of the best Reuben sandwiches he has ever had! Our server was also great. He kept our drinks filled and kept us posted on the status of our order. We will definitely go back never time we are in Omaha.

I’ve come here so many times over the years I simply cannot believe I haven’t reviewed it. I even remember the first time coming here it was my 21st birthday party playing pool listening to the juke box sipping rum and cokes. I’ve become a beer guy over the years and their beers never disappoint. I typically come for their pizza pint night on Wednesdays as their Flatbreads are pretty solid. One time it came out somewhat soggy but I didn’t care. The bartender Jared is awesome! We typically go to the upstairs bar hoping he’s working. My fiancé gets the hummus platter and the Mac and cheese both are very delicious. Also their beer cheese soup is the best I’ve ever had. Give this place a go!

Good food, a bit overpriced, but presentation was appealing. Not a frequent flyer at Upstream, but have been there over the years. I’ve just never gotten a «warm and fuzzy feeling» from dining there. I’ve always had wonderful wait staff, though — and that counts big in my opinion. But the food is dependable, not brilliant, especially if you don’t feel the need to be at the buzzy venue where«everyone» goes.

My kids and I stopped in for lunch last Saturday on our way to Eppley Airfield(flying home after a trip to visit my folks and a couple of college visits for my daughter). We received the same level of service and quality of food I’ve come to expect at the Old Market location. Not disappointed in the least, and even my kids were impressed. First, Robert the bartender was hustling that afternoon, filling the dual role of host with the most and libation pourer while barely breaking a sweat. He had our drinks and pretzel bites out within minutes of placing our orders. If you’ve not tried their Bugeater root beer yet, then what’s wrong with you? It’s delicious! We hit a minor snag as my jambalaya order got entered as chicken penne, but it was no big thing — Robert got it fixed immediately and offered to comp a dessert on my behalf. Way above and beyond. Loved my jambalaya — just enough kick and the veggies were still crisp. They also don’t skimp on meat; plenty of chicken, sausage and shrimp. The kids had the kids’ pizza(a win!) and Mac and cheese with broccoli from the lunch menu(also a big win with cavatappi pasta and ham). Both kids got ice cream for dessert(apparently teenagers don’t snort at free ice cream). I passed on dessert because I was stuffed but appreciated the offer of a comped dessert. The best part was that service was speedy — we had a flight to catch and finished in plenty of time! The location is tucked just off West Center Road and was hard for me to find since I’m not a local. It also lacks the charm of the Old Market location. But, the service makes up for the differences. A solid five stars from me!

Service slow. Food bland. $ 40 filet mignon at a brewery? Ordered a second beer– 20 minutes never came but it sure showed up on our bill. Better places to go.

Upstream West is essentially no different than Old Market. It is all the way(for me) on the other side of town. That is a good thing because it shortens the distance for drunk drivers The menu items sometimes seem to be started here and transplanted to downtown. The Mac and Cheese was premiered at this location. The beer tends to be the same and rotates in/out at a slightly different rate. The service is pretty good, but the location lacks the ambiance I am used to at my normal Upstream. Let the Westies have Legacy and I will keep my old Firehouse. Good beer. Good food. Good staff.

This place is wildly popular in Omaha and has been for years. Why do you ask? I have no idea. Yes, their food is good but I think it is kind of boring. I know when I come here I will get a good meal but it will be nothing special. The ambiance is nice and they consistently provide good service but it definitely isn’t one of those places I would tell my out of town friends they have to check out. We last ate here on a Saturday night and a 545 they already had a wait. If you come on the weekend make reservations but if you end up waiting they do have a nice billiards area upstairs.

We trusted this place on V-day and it didn’t let us down! If you’re looking for a great atsmosphere, good food, but a decent price point, this is your spot! The Asiago Artichoke dip is a true gem! Flatbread pizzas, the Gouda Beer Cheese Soup, and Pub Salad are all made with some special flair. The only reason I’m not giving this place 5-stars is because of the service. It wasn’t horrible, but our waitress was either high or had two-brain cells– the jury is still out.
