I must be on a food truck mission, as I felt the need to check this one out as soon as I heard about it. I arrived about 1 ½ hours into their lunch service that was scheduled for 3 hours. They had already run out of beef kabobs. Too bad… that’s what I had in mind but decided to go for the chicken skewers. I wanted veggies as a side, but not in a rice bowl, so they said it was no problem to do just the veggies on the side. I confirmed with them that the veggies would be grilled, so I was good with that. I also ordered a side of their Tomato Aioli. He explained the heat level was at about a 4, so that sounded great! It took about 10 minutes to get my order, and from the best I could tell there had been only 2 before me that were waiting for their order. No big deal… he said I could wait inside the business they were parked in front of since it was cold and windy. He said he’d wave at me when my order was ready, which worked fantastic. Got the order back to my office and the first thing I noticed is the Tomato Aioli didn’t get put in my bag. I also envisioned large grill charred chunks of veggies for my side. Unfortunately they were small chopped veggies… mostly onions with a few pieces of red peppers that appeared to have been sautéed. There also were no veggies on my kabob as pictured on their website… only chunks of chicken. The chicken was a bit dry, but there was a hint of grill flavor, although overall I felt it was under seasoned. In fact I seasoned it up a bit myself once I tasted it. The veggies/onions seemed better seasoned than the chicken, and worked well eating with the chicken for a more balanced flavor. It was a good lunch… not a «really» good lunch, and I did feel guilt free in eating only chicken and some veggies. Would I try them again… sure…I’d like to try the beef kabobs. Just probably won’t go out of my way to get them.

Bought a chicken wrap for myself and one for my sister. My sister immediately asked where I got it cuz she loved the flavor(level 3 spice on 1 – 10 scale they offer) and the fresh veggies inside. Woman standing next to her loved the smell and appearance. Shared mine with my husband and he was a fan, too. I liked the size of the chicken pieces and the sauce.

Saw this Kebab(Skewer) Food Truck mentioned and appreciated by another Food Truck owner(Chef Lee of Taste of New Orleans) and so tried it out today. I was greeted by the owner Chris, a smiling gentleman from West Africa. I had to try one of their Chicken Rice Bowls and a Beef Wrap. The first thing you notice, is it is not a bowl, but a Rice Boat, ample food for any hungry person, and the wrap was not one but two. I got mine fully dressed with vegetables, and fired up with their sauce. Let me tell you, I loved it, the seasoning was right on, especially with all the veggies you get(yes, there is a vegetarian kebab) all nicely grilled. The Rice bowl comes with Mixed Peppers, Onions, Tomatoes, Cheese and yes Grapes, while the Wrap comes with the same with Ranch and Sour Cream. Thu/Fri/Sat(11am — 7pm) they are in the Oakview Advance Auto parking lot. Check their website or their Facebook page to find them on other days, it is worth your while.
